They even sell ballet attire in the lobby where there is free tea for everyone to enjoy. The bathroom at the studio is always very clean. They have extra bobby pins and hair ties in the bathroom as well. Love that! So far I've attended about 4 ballet classes. The classes have helped me to improve my posture and walk for pageants. Kelly's ballet class will provide you with a great leg work out as well. As a teacher Kelly provides information on the history of ballet and speaks lots of French. I really enjoy the French. She also made comments about my daughter being in activites all I posted something on a mom group about how she wouldn't let who would be 3 not join a 3 year old class. Another dance school owner said she doesn't have kids the way she treated an innocent 2 yr old it's probably a good thing. Didn't come to the parents instead humiliated a child.

Last night was my first time at The Argyle Theatre and we watched The Prince of Egypt. I've passed…read moreby for years and always wondered about the quality of their productions. So my husband surprised me with tickets because he knows how much I love Broadway shows. Some of the standouts of the night were- the singing and the use of the screens. The actors & vocalist did a great job, really no weak links, they were clear, they projected all the way up to the balcony, and they carried a strong stage presence. The stage was set up in a specific way for the entire show but the screens helped to enhance the scenes by projecting different images to suggest a change in setting, making it a lot more interesting to watch. Some songs resonated more than others, solely because of the weight of the message they possessed. Overall, very talented artists on Long Island that we enjoyed watching use their gifts to bring joy to others. It didn't have to be perfect to be of great substance. I will note that they loosely interpret biblical events throughout the show, especially toward the end, so a few scenes might make you go huh, but as artists, they truly made it their own. It's nice to offer Broadway-like shows close to home, and to support the arts within our communities.
