Paul's passion for his work shows through by the suburb quality of his finished product. It is rare to see such enthusiasm. Paul encapsulated our day like we believe no one else would have. He showed exquisite professionalism and was able to work seamlessly with all our vendors and take command when need be. While it wasn't his concern, he guided a very green videographer to ensure that the videographer stayed true to our requests. Even while taking control, he never missed a step or a shot. His ideas and instructions for shots were brilliant and concise, capturing moments both scripted and live with seeming ease and efficiency. During formals he was able to push out a ton in a short time with seeming to lose his cool, despite multiple last-minute requests. My husband is not one for photographs and yet did not get impatient once! During the ceremony and reception, we rarely noticed Paul as he whizzed around capturing some incredible shots. We never had to call him over to get a shot, he seemed to be already right where we needed him. Even when I started crying...he was the only one with a tissue handy! Paul was with me through my bridal prep and was very comfortable to be around. He was both non-intrusive on our moments and intuitive as to when I needed a little help staying on schedule. He gently organized me while being respectful of my attention. He reminded me of a few important things that in the scatter of the day I would have forgotten and been disappointed. Additionally, through the planning process he responded quickly and was the only vendor that I felt I never had to worry about hearing back from. This was critical to our wedding because we planned it from across the country. I only had about 2 meetings face-to-face and each time he accommodated my schedule and unique circumstance. Each meeting we knocked out everything I needed to know and more. Each time I met with him I felt calmer about the whole process and I feel like he was a critical part of my ability to keep my cool. I hope that you are lucky enough to find him. We set a very high bar for our photos and he vaulted over it. On top of everything, he is a reasonable and fair man, helping us to stay within our budget by giving us flexibility in his photography packages. Although it was one of the initial reasons that I met with him; looking back now I wouldn't think twice about paying double (even if I had to skip out of something else to do it!). I have heard of people having bad experiences with photographers who are either too intense/demanding or too passive when it comes to taking the group shots but I must say Matt was perfectly efficient and politely directive. The videographers were present enough to capture the day fully yet we never felt that there were cameras in our faces. Our video came out so beautiful & looks so professional. A friend even commented that it should be the music video for "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran because of how well done it was. The one hold up we had was picking one of the licensed songs that they had to offer - this isn't a Blueflash concern since I'm glad they are paying for licensed song but the main website they use just didn't have some of the songs we had originally thought of. When I brought this to their attention, they immediately provided a second option for buying our own songs & ultimately newer songs were uploaded to the original website so it all worked out! My bridesmaids and I were all running late due to a mishap with our makeup artists, but no problem- Adam still made the most of it and took as many cute & fun "getting ready" photos of us before the ceremony! Then after the ceremony he made sure to go down a whole list that he had collaborated on with us and took pictures of every single family member and bridal combinations he could. He had us laughing and smiling the whole time! And he even helped my dad by being SO incredibly gracious and letting him take a few snaps of all of us with his special camera, too! My dad was so happy and impressed with Adam, and it warmed my heart to see how well he jived with us and the whole family. He worked amazingly well and so efficiently for all of the time limitations we had as we had a strict timeline. During the reception he made sure to come around and snap pics of all of us having a good time, dancing, including selfies for fun! I looked at reviews and emailed a few boudoir photographers but kept going back to the Pouting Room. She had a straight forward contract but it covered everything and a deposit was required. The photoshoot , makeup and prints or canvas are a separate cost. It took a while to find the shoes and outfits but get extras and not the same type of outfit or color. Put your clothes and everything in a suitcase. Her makeup artist Angela ( so pretty ) and understanding of my makeup concerns. The makeup was thick and I was concerned it was caked on ( I'm a more natural girl but I really don't know how to apply it properly) Angela had examples of how my makeup would translate in a photo. Stefanie didn't make me feel rushed and took tons of photos! You need to tell her your comfort level ! I told her absolutely NO nudes and she respected me and my comfort level. She will narrow them down to the best of the best photos when you do the reveal at a later date. It was really hard to only pick a few from the bunch to make an album. She will send you a link to approve or change the layout of the album. My fiancée got his album the night before our wedding. Let's just say we didn't need the gift he gave me for our wedding night.

I called a few other places for comparisons and saw that some of who were described as the best of Boston in the industry were far cheaper (half the price). I liked that Stefanie is a woman and her work online was nice. I emailed Stefanie with one of the quotes from Aldo Antonio that was so much less wanting her to be aware of what others were going for and asked if she could match similar packages (e.g. others offer digitals only whereas she does not and makes you purchase actual prints in order to have access to all of your images, whereas Aldo charged half the cost for all of his images; in addition, Aldo does more work if you want him to (e.g. remove tattoos) whereas Stefanie stated she does not). Perhaps there was a reason she charged more and was looking forward to her response. She's a woman and her business has a lot of availability so I might have considered going with her anyway, but to my shock she was actually insulted that I had asked her if she could offer similar packages (I don't want any prints and being forced to purchase them to get digitals didn't make sense particularly given that if I were to make prints they would be different than what was offered) and she replied "I think you should go with a different photographer" It presented as defensive but then I thought "no way" a person would be that defensive over discussing client needs/requests ..it must have come through wrong in the email. NOPE! I emailed her back and stated that I would like to go with her anyway (given that she is a woman) and she replied back that she didn't in fact want to have my business and I should go to a different photographer ... all because I simply compared packages and prices that were out there to know what I was getting. Are you kidding me? Talk about hypersensitive ..woah! So, yes I won't be going there. It's important to work with someone that you feel comfortable with first and foremost and based upon that factor alone, I wouldn't go there ..even though she didn't want me to because I asked if other packages were available. On the phone she did not present with the warm fuzzies either ..pretty matter of fact emotionless but wasn't going to let that deter me initially ...well Aldo was so sweet and reassuring with hundreds of amazing reviews so I guess I'm going with him ..and at the Pouting Room's request! Jeez! She's definitely not into customer service! Crazy haha

They capture the spirit of the day, all of the lovely personalities of our family and friends, and the beauty of the island so perfectly. Everyone who has seen the photos has been blown away.
