Long story short I went here for a year &my skin was completely clear so I stopped going. My skin stayed clear for a few months UNTIL I decided to follow a YouTube fad and put nair on my face. I broke out worse than before. The list of pore clogging ingredients they give you is a real eye opener, pretty much every liquid foundation has at least one or two if not more. An update almost five years later... My acne is still gone! After moving out of state, I've continued to use Carmen's products via mail and my skin remains great. I have been struggling with acne since my I was 12. I tried drugstore products and used them nightly. That worked for a while until I hit my teenage years and developed cystic acne. At that point I went to a dermatologist who put me on two different prescription creams. I paid $300 for them but shortly after starting the treatment I got terrible irritation, flakiness and diarrhea. The pain was so bad it that it hurt to talk. Needless to say I stopped those treatments immediately. After that I regrettably tried Proactiv and eXposed Skincare, both of which doubled my inflamed acne and irritation. In January 2011 I desperately searched for a solution to my problem and found Luminosity. I immediately made an appointment and it's the best decision I ever made. Not only does Carmen clear your acne but she provides the resources and education to learn about what's going on and what foods and skincare products to avoid. During the consultation I was provided with a packet full of information, and even a list of common ingredients to review before buying products other places. I bought my at-home products and returned every two weeks for check-ups. That alone was one of the best parts. So I only write reviews if my experience was really good or really bad. With Carmen it was 100% good. I came in with continuous breakouts and left a few months later with smooth clear skin. After going on and off birth control I was struggling with constant breakouts mostly on my chin but also on the rest of my face. It was very frustrating dealing with this for about 3 years. I had tried every product, facials, diets, pills and it was getting very upsetting that nothing was working. Then I started googling acne places in Cary and found Carmen. I was a little skeptical at first because nothing had worked but reading the reviews I figured it was worth a shot. Upon walking in, it was very professional and Carmen is very calm. She does not tell you your skin looks terrible but just says this is what we can do to treat it if you want. Of course I made the decision to do it then. Upon using the products and coming in every two weeks my skin began clearing up. I really could not believe it was this EASY. I wish I had found this years ago. It's amazing that she was able to clear it up in about 3 months just like she said. I even recommended her to my sister whose skin cleared up in about 1 month! I'm just so happy to not have to worry about my skin now and would recommend her to anyone. It is 100% worth the money.
