Came here for a facial on my birthday. Convenient location and nice space. Didn't have to wait for the staff doing my facial. She was very friendly and professional and explained the process to me. When I went in for my appointment today I was asked what my name was and told I was all set. I went back for a skin check her yearly skin check and the woman said oh I thought it was just for one spot when I made the appointment it was supposed to be for a yearly skin check. They took my insurance information over the phone as well when I made my appointment. I got back they decided that they were going to do the yearly skin check and I needed a more biopsy. The provider said oh no you don't have insurance and I said yes I did I give that over the phone and she was like oh OK. I get to the front and she says oh well you just have select Blue Cross insurance that's not in network and we don't take that. I asked when anybody was gonna let me know that before I went back and had the appointment. She said since it's a new insurance I should've offered my card but I was never asked for my card. I gave my card information over the phone. She said I have to collect $75 because we can't verify your insurance right now. I provided my card and no real customer service was provided. I'm not sure if I'll be going back to this facility I have used them in the past and had pretty decent experiences but this was disappointing especially from a financial standpoint. As well there seems to be an issue with having schedule the appointment with providing my insurance information that no one put into the computer other than it was blue crossed and a selectAnd that it was not a full skin check it was just a spot. I find this process to of been disappointing and I would've preferred to have better customer service when clearly somebody made an issue with my insurance notifying me not putting it in the computer and also scheduling me for the wrong type of appointment. read more

I went here because of the recommendation of a friend and of a family member that had minor things done here with expected results. I wish I HAD NOT listened to them. I had suspicious areas that I needed checked out and with a family history of skin cancer, it's something I took seriously. I first saw Cari, a PA, who was rather dismissive of my concerns but decided to take some biopsies anyway. She even went as far as to chide me for still being able to feel her cutting me because I asked her to stop and place more local anesthesia in a very sensitive area of the body. When I looked, she had missed a good amount of the tissue in one of areas I had wanted removed because it looked suspect, and the edges of the area she cut were jagged. She said after everything was done that I would be contacted the following Friday, but I wasn't contacted. I finally called to request my results that following Wednesday, over a week after the biopsies were taken and waited hours for a call back. When I did get results it turned out that more tissue was needed because there were suspicious cells. I asked to have the results e-mailed and they never were. She still seemed very dismissive of the whole thing but I scheduled again with her colleague Rebecca, another PA and went in for a punch biopsy. She seemed to have a better bedside manner, but as a nurse who stitches people up regularly, Rebecca did not have experience with suture. She didn't hold her instrument correctly, couldn't see where she was stitching, didn't use appropriate technique and now I will probably have to have the scar she created for me excised later once it heals because it will be bad. I am not sure if they do these procedures often, or utilize their skills with sutures often, but how you close the skin is so directly connected to how your excision site will scar, and I am appalled and disappointed. And yes, I did say something but got the generic "I'm sorry you feel that way" response as she continued to struggle on, instead of her finding someone who knew what they were doing. Looking back, I should have asked to do it myself, and I may have to if this wound heals the way I predict it will based on her closure. She should seriously consider taking a suture course and becoming comfortable with the process, technique and instrumentation before she botches another skin closure on someone. I'm sure this place does an acceptable job of placing fillers, doing chem peels and other basic cosmetic procedures, but I highly (HIGHLY) recommend going elsewhere for more serious care if you need biopsies, excisions, or anything that may require stitches. I wish now that I would have gone to someone I knew to have this done, but I wanted to protect my privacy from the people I work with. So much for that- I'd rather share my experience as a warning than continue to keep it private. read more

Do not waste your time. The care here is mediocre at best. The office staff are a bunch of hypocrites. They will overcharge you. The office should be shut down. If you value your own health and skin, go elsewhere and be seen by professionals with a medical degree. I had a biopsy on my leg and was left more scarred than when I went in. Over a year ago, I became a client and was advised to get 3 IPL laser treatments after a consult. I wanted to lighten up some brown spots. I was realistic with my results and realized that some spots would not lighten up. I was prescribed hydroquinone to help lighten the darker ones and for maintenance. The product helped. I enjoyed my experience with them so much that I've gone for several facials/microdermabrasions and derma planing. On my most recent facials, I asked to see a RN to get another prescription for hydroquinone but was told no one was available to see me and had to make an appointment to see one. I asked if I had to pay for that and was told no. Made the appointment, showed up and was told I had to pay $50 just to get a script for hydroquinone! I was then offered to purchase the in-house hydroquinone products with no fee! I was flabbergasted needless to say. Firstly, I am already a client and to get CHARGED to get a script recommended by them and then not telling me that there was fee or else I wouldn't have even made the appointment! I am utterly disappointed with this establishment. I live in Holly Springs and thought I'd support my local business but now I'll just take have take my business to Apex or Cary. read more

Don't be surprised if they cancel your appointment same day. I took time off work to have rejuvapen treatment, which has a few days recovery, that they cancelled same day because they had someone call in. They didn't try to fit me in just told me to reschedule. They didn't care that I took time off work to have the procedure done. There are too many places in the area that offer the same treatment to deal with uncertain appts. read more

My son and daughter have been seen here numerous times over the last year or so for acne treaments and sports massages. Scheduling appointments are easy, minimal wait time, friendly staff, very clean. Overall, pleased with their customer service. My only hiccup has been, recently, with trying to get someone to help me with my insurance needs. My son was given a prescription for a medication that needs prior approval from my insurance company. I was told only the prescribing doctor or his staff could request the prior approval, not me. First, I call the skin center and leave a detailed message with all of my contact info and the insurance company's info. I never received a call back. Then I'm there in person and speak to the guy at the front desk. I explain everything and give him all the info again. He writes it all down and says he will give it to the person it needs to be given to. That was three weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my call....very frustrating. Just want people to do their job without having to chase them down. read more

I give them zero stars for my last visit. I was offered a deal for a treatment but it doubled when I arrived for my appt.. I was told it was a "miscommunication." This is odd since they called me for the deal and after sending me numerous messages via phone, texts and emails to confirm my appt., I noticed the text they sent me was for the wrong service. I called and was very clear about what I expected and was told they would correct it. I showed up and they told me, after I drove 45 minutes to the appt., that they could not do what I was told on the phone for that price - again, a "miscommunication." The price DOUBLED from $600 to $1200. I asked to see the office manager (Noah), who actually rolled his eyes at me, when I said what I was told and what I expected. I said please don't roll your eyes at me - rolling eyes at a customer and someone twice his age is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. The young women who were supposed to do the service seemed somewhat contrite but basically said if I was not doing the service, the appt. was over. I guess I was being dismissed. No one ever offered to comp me for my time (in total, a 90 minute drive in rush hour traffic, my inconvenience, or that I was basically lied to). If I was the owner of this business, I would be very upset that any customer, let alone a return customer, was treated like this. When I tried to find out who owned and/or operated the business, things became mysterious. They would not give me a name or number. I have never posted anything like this, so I guess one could assume I was very upset!!! *I wonder if this is a scam of some sort. Oh - had to give it one star so it would be published...
