It was just me and my husband--like always, we ordered way too much and ended up with plenty of leftovers. It was our first time trying this Filipino restaurant, and the sisig was so tasty and delicious. It's been years since I last had it, so it really warmed my heart and felt like a taste of home. I had been craving pancit for a while, and it definitely hit the spot. Everything we ordered was flavorful and satisfying. The place had a steady flow of customers coming in and out, with a bright and chill atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Only wish they had turon!

When I complained, they tried to tell me it was "pork hamonado longanisa," as if I wouldn't know the difference. I'm Filipino. I know what longanisa is, including hamonado longanisa. This was uniform and finely emulsified, wasn't sweet, and tasted exactly like an American hot dog. They then spoke in Tagalog between themselves, seemingly assuming I couldn't understand. Surprise! I can! I interjected and clearly said I wanted longanisa, not a hot dog (because that's what I ordered). After more back-and-forth trying to insist it was just a "different kind of longanisa" (it wasn't), I simply smiled and let it go. But no, we will not be going back. And yes, this review will be posted everywhere. The pricing makes it even worse. Breakfast dishes start at $15 and entrees at $18, yet the portions are surprisingly small. At these prices, you can get significantly more food at restaurants serving practically any other cuisine, even sushi. I don't mind paying more for good food, but the quality and portion size need to justify the price. $15 for an egg, a scoop of rice, and a hot dog being passed off as longanisa simply doesn't. Everything we ordered felt overpriced for what we received. My family and I definitely won't be returning. Go to Phoenix for Filipino food, or even the nearby grocery store. You'll get more authentic food, better prices, and you'll actually receive what you ordered. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. So let's just say the one star is for their leche flan which is actually tasty (and actually leche flan).

If you love intestines grilled with fatty texture then this is a must for you. It's worth the adventure along with the famous filipino hotdog which most Asians who grew up eating as a kid. If you can handle eating kare-kare or Mexican menudo, then you'll love this fatty goodness. I did not know what pork bangs was until I asked what it was. Worth it! This alone gave this place a 5 star for street food. Banana Turon- It's really good All Day Breakfast Combos- Good. Just for a quick meal. One egg not two. If you want something close to Midtown or Uptown filipino food this place is good. I haven't tried their other menu so I really can't say anything. As for value with two egg breakfast, stick with Halo-Halo on 35thAve+Dunlap $10.50. This place is closed on Mon or Tue. Check Highland Food Hub for hours. Their fried rice is huge(no photo). I still have to try it.

I had pork adobo, Kare Kare, longsilog, Pancit Bihon, steamed rice, and melon juice. My wife had Kare Kare, longsilog, Pancit Bihon, steamed rice, and sago at gulaman juice. We shared a basket of lumpiang Shanghai. We enjoyed the option of selecting one scoop of steamed rice and one scoop of Pancit noodles and the suka (Filipino vinegar) and bagoong alamang (shrimp paste) are a must for the condiments. Everything was fresh, hot, well-balanced, flavorful, and delicious. My Filipino wife stated that this was most definitely authentic Filipino cuisine and the best she has enjoyed since moving to Arizona from Northern California 26 years ago. The staff remind you of typical hospitable Filipinos as they were all very welcoming, courteous, friendly, calm, patient, and we didn't feel rushed at all as we progressed through the line, making our selections. The smiles on the faces of all the servers were very genuine, cordial and inviting. The ambiance was very casual, but comfortable, and the music was on point and the perfect vibes. I highly recommend this dining establishment.

Everyone (including the Filipinos from all over the United states) was raving about the food and the catering team set up, broke down, and made the whole experience a joy, even in all the sorrow. We had BBQ skewers (they went FAST! Get a lot!), lumpia (chicken and pork, but we sampled the vegan ones and they were amazing as well, get more because these went faster than the skewers!), Kare Kare (so tasty), Beef Kaldereta (classic and delicious), and Ginataan, Biko, and Mango Shortcake (soooo perfect). But, we all know adobo is the benchmark in filipino food and My Tita's Kusina's is the bomb for sure. We made the leftovers into a great silog breakfast the next day and it was heaven. I can't say enough how delicious the food was, and you can tell it's all cooked from the heart. If you're vegan, Melissa made some of the most interesting and wonderful vegan versions of Filipino food I have ever tasted. I know our family will be coming back to the area hopefully very often to spend time with my brother and his kids here all together and we know who we're calling for the good stuff!
