Pork sisig
Mildred O.

I don't get to Chandler often, but when I need Filipino food this is the place to go, Sisig is still fire!! Service is friendly. This place is legit!

Came across this Filipino restaurant, which is a shopping center across the Chandler Mall. Upon walking in, you'll need to order first before getting seated (if not takeout). They have a variety of options! I ordered the pancit seafood and pork sisig which came with rice. I've tried a lot of pork sisig and I'd say theirs is pretty good. The pancit seafood is also worth ordering. Aside from the food, there's a handful of seating. I arrived during lunch and it was packed. Had to wait around 10 min to be seated but the staff does a great job making sure everything runs smoothly. They also make sure you received your entire order. Staff are definitely caring which made my experience even better. I'll be coming back here when I'm craving Filipino food.

We have been wanting to come for a while and finally had the opportunity to try this place! We are fairly new to Filipino food...obviously very familiar with Lumpia but the other dishes were new. The ladies working at the counter were extremely helpful and answered our numerous questions and also offered some ideas for us to try. Here is what we landed with: Lumpia: They call them egg rolls and 12 come to an order along with a small container of delicious sweet/sour sauce for dipping. The rolls were stuffed full pork and vegetables and fried to a golden brown crisp. So delicious! Sizzling Sisig: Chopped pork, cooked till crispy with onion and an egg on top. I asked for the egg to be cooked over medium, came out raw and with help from one of the ladies, we stirred and finished cooking it while it continued to sizzle on the cast iron dish. It was so good although a bit too spicy for me but wife loved it. Learned that we can order with less spice next time. It was truly so good. Pancit Bihon: Rice noodles mixed with chicken, veggies, and topped with three breaded and deep fried shrimp. There were lemon wedges garnishing the dish so we assumed they were meant to be squeezed over, which we did and loved the bit of acid it brought to the dish. This was by far my favorite and will be a go-to next time for sure! The flavor was incredible and no heat at all. Loved it! Kare-Kare: This is a stew with a peanut butter sauce that was so savory and so full of eggplant, bok choy, ox tail, and it comes with a container of shrimp paste to mix in. Wife loved the paste and I passed just because I'm not a fan of strong fishy flavor (and yet I love sushi so go figure, LOL). The dish is served with white rice, which creates a great base to soak up the broth. Another dish we fell in love with and wife says it's a go-to as well! Overall we had a great experience trying these new foods and would love to try some other dishes next time as well. We are adventurous eaters so bring it on! Great service, clean space, and we noticed many others in the restaurant enjoying their dishes as well. Give them a try!

Cup of sinigang, pork binagoongan, sisig, chicken adobo (counterclockwise front front)

At My Place Cafe is a homey Filipino cafe I've had suggested to me a couple times, so I was excited to try. But while I enjoyed the friendliness, efficiency, and most of the food, there were inconsistencies. The team recommended the sisig -- and I agree, this is their must-try. It comes on a sizzling plate with freshly cracked eggs, so it's crisp and aromatic. Their chicken adobo is tender. The sinigang is nicely tart, though a cup only includes spinach and tomatoes. The pork binagoongan is where things got confusing. It came with SO much coconut milk that the woman initially called it bicol express (which should be a cream color) three times when serving it to us. Another woman confirmed we got the right dish. The coconut milk way overpowered any shrimp paste umami, so I was skeptical. What's silly is I later read a Google review with this EXACT experience -- including the serving mishap -- two years back, yet a Yelper's binagoongan photo just months ago shows an authentically dark and savory-looking version of the dish. What a mystery! A friend had also called ahead to see if she could order anything vegetarian -- she was told no -- only to be suggested the pancit when she didn't order. Our server didn't know how to describe the dish when asked. The inconsistencies are concerning for anyone with serious dietary concerns. Luckily their sisig is still fantastic and worth a try.

Good authentic Filipino food is difficult to find in Arizona unless you're going to someone's house whose family traditionally makes this cuisine. However, this restaurant was very good. The food was delicious and pretty much the real deal. I had the sizzling pork sisig platter, and my wife had the corned beef silog breakfast, with garlic fried rice and an egg. Our host at the restaurant was really friendly, and let us try some of the other foods at no extra charge. She let us try their kare kare (Filipino oxtail stew) and the lechon kawali (fried pork belly). The kare kare was authentic; it was something I used to eat when I was a kid. The difference, however, was that it had an ingredient in which I wasn't familiar with, not even my mom or grandma had used (as far as I remember). It had a banana bloom vegetable in it, which I initially thought was an artichoke (at least it tastes like it). The lechon kawali had a soy sauce/vinegar/onion dipping sauce, which I actually liked. Usually it's accompanied by lechon sauce, which is a sauce made with liver, vinegar, and other spices, but honestly it has never been a favorite condiment of mine. Otherwise, all of the food, including the Lumpia Shanghai that we had as an appetizer, was outstanding. #atmyplace #chandleraz #filipinofood #MabuhayPilipinas #comfortfood

Stopped in to At My Place for some Filipino food with some friends. We have been here before so we planned to order ahead so others in our group could make the most of their lunch hour away from work. With previous visits the service was a little slow so we planned accordingly. Most of our order arrived very quickly (15-20 minutes) but unfortunately one of our items was especially delayed (30-40 minutes). The staff seemed a bit confused when we asked about the deleted missing dish but it eventually arrived. At the time I placed our orders it wasn't packed or crazy busy so the next time we come we will plan our order timing a little better. Orders are placed and paid for before we take our seats then the food is brought out to us. The portions were just right for most of the dishes. The pinakbet was the largest dish we received. Most everyone was satisfied with their dishes. Only one person was a bit disappointed because their egg was a bit underdone and not as originally requested. We ordered extra food to take home for dinner so we appreciated that they provided us several containers and bags. The restaurant is simple but appeared clean. The refrigerated case had an assortment of desserts for sale displayed in convenient take away containers. The menu is clearly posted on the wall above the cash register. I didn't remember to check which cards they I used but American Express was processed without issue. The parking lot is under construction so we had to park a little farther away from the restaurant but it wasn't a major issue or concern. The staff were nice and friendly even with the order confusion (which they resolved without a problem). We haven't been to too many Filipino restaurants in the Phoenix area so it's nice to find a place with a generous selection of Filipino dishes. Go check them out if you're in the mood for Filipino food.

I have been meaning to try this spot for years. But them they moved their location from Mesa to its current spot in Chandler and I finally got to stop in. The restaurant is open and airy. You order at the counter and seat yourself. They will bring your order out to you. They also have takeout options as well. Today, there was a sign on the front saying they would only do takeout after 6:30 due to staffing. So, might want to call ahead if you're planning for dinner to see if that's still an issue or maybe it was just today? Anyhow, the ladies at the front were so welcoming and friendly. I love that this is a family run place. The food tastes homemade too. All our dishes were delicious. I wish the portions were bigger but I still left with a full stomach and boxes for the leftovers. I would definitely return to this place especially if you love Filipino food like I do.

$18 pork binagoongan.. doesn't taste like pork bingaoongan, I don't normally give food or restaurant reviews, this time I had to.

tapasilog

1st time visit, stopped by for brunch on 8/17/25. We ordered the tapsilog, longsilog and pork lumpia. Food was okay, rice lacked garlic and the lumpia had celery and red bell pepper (this I have never seen or tasted in any filipino lumpia). Restaurant was clean, wait staff was friendly and attentive. There is a large projection TV playing your favorite pinoy show..

The best place for Filipino food. Gourmet Filipino food at its finest! Ate Lisa is one of the most genuine business owner. She is very hands on and she knows her customers by heart. Definitely home for us and my family.

Website price

MARKED-UP PRICES (by calling via website): I called them to inform that I was surprised on the prices as I checked them before ordering. The lady answered the phone told me that her husband will change the prices tonight and they have increased it more than $3 per dish and some were higher than that. (Really?!) What a coincidence!! The price will be updated tonight after I called it out?! $98.60 on actual receipt paid (call, to go) versus $84.23 (counter-checked via website). My husband went back to show the proof but they didn't care. We will not come back to this place again.

A good friend of mine was craving Filipino food so we chose Nanay's to scratch the itch. "Nanay" is the Tagalog word for mother. Let me tell you, this place is LEGIT!!! The restaurant has a pretty good size dining area. You can also order ahead for pick up. Employees are very friendly here and I appreciated the fact that the older gentleman was nice enough to give me a sample size of the Langka. It was right on the money! All of the food we got was definitely made with love. You can see it and you most certainly can taste it. I'm a big fan of Sisig, so it was only right to order it. They offer steamed white rice, garlic fried rice and pancit for your base. You get to choose your entrées (choose 1, 2 or 3). I opted for the sisig and their pork adobo which I have been told is a best seller here. No lies were told, as the adobo was on point! I also wanted to sample their "bilo bilo" and it was just like my mom's. I can never get enough!! Prices here won't swallow your wallet, and the parking lot outside is huge! The place was poppin' when we stepped inside and the line only got longer. That's how you know it's DAMN DELICIOUS! I suggest you try out Nanay's because you are missing out if you don't. We were the only people in line, and it seemed like he just wanted us out of the store. When he was scooping the kare kare, he also kept scooping past the meat (beef items are an extra +$1 btw) and would dump out each scoop if he thought he was giving us "too much". Perhaps if you like pork and sweet sauce made with banana ketchup, this is your acquired taste? As for the chicken, I took a small bite as I have just reintroduced some meat in to my diet. I liked the skin and it had a good flavor. The coleslaw pairs nicely with it, but about average in flavor for a coleslaw. Still on the search for one to rival the one Chic-fil-a had and discontinued. Overall though, the dining area was spacious and the service was very friendly. The food was prepared quickly and the staff kept the tables tidy as patrons left. Very impressed with the cleanliness.
