I just recently received a beautiful Cockapoo baby. He is nine weeks old…read more I can't start to say how happy we are that we found Adam at Homestead Cockapoos! Actually, we didn't find him, he came recommended from a friend who has purchased three Cockapoos from him. They raved about Adam, his unreal customer service, his care of his pups, his care in placing his babies with wonderful families and his honesty and his ethical breeding standards. I can say we experienced exactly this! We had to wait five weeks, Adam took the time to send us updated pictures, multiple Facetime calls with my whole family and field many phone calls from us. All with patience. We live in California and Adam in Wisconsin. How are we going to get the pup? I could not take the time to make a two-day trip. I hired with a recommendation a Pet Nannie service to fly our pup to Los Angeles. Adam was a trooper. Not only did they cancel the first scheduled Flight eight hours before Adam had planned to leave at 2:00 am, and rescheduled for the following day at the same time. Adam agreed to this to my delight. So Adam drives to Milwaukee airport arriving at 4:00 am to find the nannie service was a no show. He drives home with our dog. Two down! The service claimed they got mixed up on the days. They offer to try again that night. Somehow Adam with his great attitude agrees to drive at 2:00am again!! As he claimed threes a charm! This time (3rd try) our pup is on his way to LAX. Unreal service Adam. We have now received our beautiful healthy pup, Baron. He's a charm. Three days in not a single accident, he was delivered crate trained and has slept all night long so far. What a dream. We love this puppy so much, he is one happy dog. My suggestion is if you are in the market for a Cockapoo I would say you need to speak with Adam at Homestead Cockapoos. It has been an amazing experience and we continue to trade pictures, videos and texts with Adam. He really cares and I can say I feel we have gained a new friend in Adam!

Everyone loves her eager smile( yes she smiles! ) and she is as happy to sit out on the lawn watching the passing parade as she is trotting along checking out the neighborhood. He kept the dog in cages and they would occasionally get to run on feces covered gravel. Ever see a King Charles Cavalier with a eye rotted out? Yep that's Leroy Fhlug. He kept the puppies in a concrete bunker with air conditioning. When he collected to many old dogs who ate into his profits he suddenly had a FIRE and they all died. Hmmm.... a fire? In a concrete structure? Then overwhelmed by grief he bought all new dogs and started breeding en mass. My first question... Were gasoline barrels kept next to he building with candles on top? My second question... Did INSURANCE pay a claim for these withered animals that suffered neglect and had horrible living conditions? Fill in there blanks Arso#? Insurance Fr@ud? Leory Fhlug needs to be in JAIL. Hopefully he never comes near another animal and his business stay shuttered since there is no market for puppies anymore.

However, when we asked to see his parents, Leroy was very shifty and discouraging us. Then he reluctantly grabbed the mom from a dark room and shoved her in the cage with her puppies. You can clearly tell she was not taken care of at all!! She looked malnourished, matted, and abused. By this time, my kids fell in love with the puppy and we bought him. But this decision haunts me... I wish we just walked away. I can't get this image of the poor mom and how she looked out of my mind. From my experience, I don't believe LeRoy is a caring breeder.. his focus seems to be about profits. In retrospect, I wish we never set foot in his place.

    Von Der Stadtrand German Shepherds

I have bred and shown a sporting breed for over 35 years. I have always loved German Shepherds and…read morewanted to do performance work with them. The time is finally right for me to make the commitment to a GSD. Thus, I researched German Shepherd breeders in the Wisconsin area for months and really wasn't finding the "right" one until I found Clayton Warichak's website. I called him to find out more about his dogs and his breeding program. (basically to interview him a little!) I wanted to meet his dogs and see for myself what they were like before deciding if they were right for me. He invited me out to a training he offers every other weekend. (all at no cost). All of the dogs are his breeding and range in age from puppies to adult dogs providing a good age range, enabling me to see structure, temperament, and development along a broad timeline. This also provided me with an opportunity to meet and talk to the many owners, who had a mix of interests in what they were doing with their dogs. I learned of a breeding he was planning and would have puppies born in about three months. After meeting him, his wife, his son, the dogs, and all of the owners of the dogs I knew this was the breeder and line of dogs that I wanted. We agreed that I would get a first pick male puppy from that breeding. He said that because I came out and met him and the dogs he appreciated my sincere interest and would like to work with me also. I was most impressed because not only was I interviewing him, but he was interviewing me. This showed me he was sincerely careful of where his puppies went and who they went with. This is a quality of a truly outstanding breeder. As the time grew closer to the birth of the litter, Clayton kept in regular contact with me, even sending me pictures of the mother's ultrasound showing how many pups there were. The day the pups were born, Clayton called me many times during the course of the day as each puppy was born. (Clayton whelps his litters himself). My gratefulness and excitement was beyond words. It only confirmed that I had made the right decision. Several weeks later I went to his house to pick out my puppy. Being new to the breed I wanted his evaluation and guidance. We critically evaluated all six males carefully. After 35 plus years of breeding GSDs I value and trust Clayton's opinion completely. Several weeks later I went to pick up my puppy (Pan). I was provided with a Litter Certificate, showing Pan's pedigree, a written hip and health guarantee, and a bag containing toys, a collar, and a leash. Clayton also provides the entire regiment of puppy shots over the coming months at no cost. Pan is the most wonderful little guy, full of personality and playfulness. He absolutely loves and plays with my three grandchildren. He learns fast knowing basic commands and is only just 3 months old. He is friendly to everyone including my 12.5 year old sporting dog. Pan represents the carefully planned breedings that Clayton does. Clayton studies pedigrees and carefully plans every breeding. He provided me with pedigrees and pictures of Pan's breeding before Pan was born at my request. His dogs are thoughtfully and carefully bred with enormous knowledge. These dogs can fill a variety of interests from living in family homes to working as police-k9 or in search and rescue, along with agility, conformation, and also Schutzhund (IGP). Clayton is always there to help guide me and answer all of my questions. He returns my phone calls timely. He is a person of extremely high integrity. He has been awarded The Best Dog Breeder in Jefferson County 3 times. If you are looking for a GSD with good health, high trainability, intelligence, and temperament, look no further. If you are looking for a breeder who is caring, honest, and ethical along with having extensive experience in confirmation and Shutzhund events, look no further. There is something truly special about Clayton, his dogs, and the Stadtrand Family that he has created with his dogs. Clayton's dogs are the entire package. You won't go wrong choosing this breeder.

I could not have been happier and my dog lived to be almost 14. My dog was a true soldier to my family, a great pet, ptsd support animal and best friend-a true fur son and as I called him my "Dog man" lol...he was everything and when I saw a litter born 12/20....the same day he passed away I knew I had to have one.... even if a girl this time....which I'm looking forward to. My dog came out of the box at 12 weeks potty trained, never chewed or bit ....he was a model puppy in behavior. We understand that's rare but he was born intelligent and with a great love of humans. He would not eat until the human said to....even though we never taught that! He was always focused on me and gentle with my grandkids and his cat (Pumpsy). We already love our new girl and all we've seen is a couple photos. The whole litter is spectacular and it was hard picking between the 3 Clayton liked for us. I'll update with photos after she settles in. So grateful 14 years later that Clayton and family are still breeding great dogs. If we ever want another we will be back. Wish we lived closer to him to join the training! Signed, --excited new owner--
