I had a bad experience.. 1. My No 1 expectation was the place should not be crowded but she suggested La jolla Beach which was way more crowded than I expected. 2. My No 2 expectation was its not about the count of images. I asked her even if there are 10 pictures , please give me the best 3. My No 3 expectation was I already mentioned that I have a crazy toddler, so its upto you to get the best family photographs None of the above expectations were satisfied. She shoots the pictures at a very high ISU and the end product does not have good quality if you have to post them in Facebook or Instagram. She kept texting me until I paid her invoice but when I told her I am not satisfied with my pictures, she did not bother to get back to me. Paula is extremely unprofessional. She showed up to our engagement photo shoot In October of 2017 where her behavior and appearance were very unprofessional, scheduled our photo session after the park was closed and another wedding was in process even after my wife reached out to her weeks in advance to make sure there were no events that would prevent us from taking the pictures. She began to act surprised that there was a wedding and the fact that the park was even closed in the first place. Her partner was trying to figure out another location to try and take pictures but it was 20 min before Sunset and there would have been no way to even get to another lacation and take pictures before the sunset. She then suggested to just go to the beach as a last ditch effort to salvage the situation. My wife was in a very expensive dress and in high heels. There was no way she was going to be able to go on the beach. My wife broke down crying and all the money we spent of getting her makeup done was out the window. We decided to go with a different photographer in the end because we couldn't trust her. She would not pay us back our deposit even though she never did any work for us. We took her to court where she never showed up and the courts gave us the judgement to collect from her. She agreed to pay us back in payments over a year and has never made a single payment. She is a scam artist stay far away from Paula Luna and any business she may be apart of. Wowowow! I just received photos back from Paula of a Surprise Birthday Party I threw for my Mother in Law (which was less than two weeks ago!), and I couldn't be any happier! They are STUNNING!!! We booked LunaPhoto for our engagement photos as well as our wedding. We have not had our wedding so I will follow up once that event happens but I can speak highly of our engagement photos. Paula was very accommodating on the locations and dates. We shot our photos at my family's floral farm. She took about 15-20 minuets to walk around the property and scope out some uniques angles while we got dressed. She then walked around with us and expressed her inspirational areas and we just went with it. They turned out amazing! I am so excited for her to shoot our wedding in Coronado this July! This the season for family photos and I can't imagine using anyone other than Paula Luna. My family bought a gift certificate for my fathers birthday and we just cashed it in last weekend. The entire process was a breeze. It's not high wedding season so she was available on the first Sunday we wanted to shoot. Her artistic eye and unique composition make her photos standout by far... Photography is extremely important to be being an artist myself. I was actually nervous trying to find a photographer that would live up to my expectations. As soon as I saw the lunaphoto website I was blown away! Every picture looks like its straight out of a magazine! Paula shot our engagement photos in balboa park and our wedding at La Valencia in La Jolla. I know im not like most people who go with the flow for their pictures, I had examples for Paula for both the engagement pics and the wedding photos of exactly what I wanted, (im sure most photographers would be super annoyed with this) but Paula was up for it. We literally ran across balboa park trying to get all the shots and they came out beautifully; the way she uses natural light is incredible. When it came time for the wedding, again I was armed with my extensive shot list. Paula actually came with it printed out and we checked off the shots as we went. I wanted our first look to be at the beach which she was weary about due to time since I had so many other shots at the hotel and extensive detail shots. But it worked out perfectly. At one point she asked me to decide whether I wanted to continue with the list or be a few mins late for the wedding and I appreciated that she kept checking on us and had an eye on timing. Of course every wedding runs a bit late so I chose to continue our fun photo shoot. Her second shooter Gavin was awesome too he was running around and taking direction from the crazy grooms men, "take a picture of this etc" which my husband and I loved bc were all about having fun and being in the moment. He got a ton on great detail shots. The turnaround time with the wedding and engagement photos was crazy! The day after the wedding we went on our 2 week honeymoon to Europe and I was constantly checking facebook for sneak peeks of our wedding and sure enough...when I saw the first two shots I gasped they were amazing, so gorgeous, I couldn't believe it was us! She got all the photos to me a little over 2 weeks later. That turnaround is crazy fast, some of my friends wait 4 or 5 months for wedding pics! I do wish we got a few more photos of just my husband and I straight on, many were kissing or looking at each other. But all in all they are just beautiful. The best part is our wedding is going to be featured in a top bridal magazine next year all because of Paula's incredible photos. If you think wedding photography is expensive, you are right, but its worth every last cent. Because you can never relive that day- only through the photos that are captured. read more

My husband and I used LunaPhoto for our May wedding in Austin, TX. Paula and her partner photographer were excellent to work with and very professional during the wedding. We had a blast taking couples photos together before the wedding and hardly even noticed them capturing every moment of the ceremony and reception perfectly. Once we received the photographs, I couldn't stop smiling while looking through them. The photographs captured every moment and emotion of a truly special day for us and are absolutely stunning in every way. The only minor complaint I have is that the turn around time on receiving the photos was a little longer than I had hoped and Paula kept promising them by a certain date and not being able meet her own deadline due to her busy schedule. A friend of mine had booked Luna Photos for his wedding and the photos were awesome. Ever since I saw them I wanted to hire them. My sister got engaged and asked for recommendations and I mentioned Luna Photos but she ultimately decided against booking them since they barely got back to her, didn't email her, and was overall unresponsive. But her experience did not deter me. So when I got engaged the first thing I booked was Luna Photos. I did have trouble getting in touch with them UNLESS it came to getting the deposit. It was the only thing they cared about. I finally sent in my deposit and I thought I was all booked and had a photographer who wanted to work with me. Unfortunately when I wanted to set up a call to talk about the wedding or had questions via email I got very little response if ANY. Then 4 months after booking them THEY CANCELED claiming that the date was unavailable. Every contract, booking form, email had the correct date and all of a sudden its unavailable??? I had booked them in October they canceled on me in February. Needless to say I was extremely angry and disappointed. Completely unprofessional it took them over a week to send me my deposit back. I would warn every bride to not work with them. It was heartbreaking and I had to scramble for a new photographer. Luckily it all worked out, and I found a photographer who did even better pictures, but I have never worked with such unprofessional people in all my life. DO NOT HIRE! read more

Luna Photography did our engagement, wedding, and day after photos. We enjoyed working with them through the entire experience and would recommend them to anyone. The photos looked great and they expressed the feeling of what I and my wife wanted. We did three separate locations for each session (San Diego, Carmel, and San Francisco), and they were able to capture the uniqueness of each location. They have a great eye for shooting unique moments and using the background to make the photos (and subjects) pop. During the interview process they gave us plenty of time to review their previous work, and I actually interviewed them twice, once in person and the second with my wife. They were responsive whenever we contacted them, and we usually heard back within a couple days. I would recommend contacting them via email since they travel quite frequently. If you call and leave a voicemail it will take them longer to call you back. Paula was very patient as we created each album for our engagement and wedding (i.e. multiple revisions). The Luna's were also patient with our wedding guests and parents who also loved the photos. There were times when they had to be aggressive but respectful with certain guests who thought they were also professional photographers. I used them for my wedding and although I have some good pictures I am very disappointed. I had very few family portraits done and they focused in on the wrong people many times in the photos that they did get. I was the bride and my parents, who overpaid for these photographers, were barely in any pictures. We will never get the day back and we are missing so many pictures that any photographer that has done a few weddings should know are important. They should also know not to rely on a bride's filled brain to remember this fact. Of the good photos we did receive many are not even centered. How hard is that? I would not recommend these people to anyone else. Furthermore, after numerous conversations about our pictures you would think they would inquire about whether or not we were happy and they never did. It was as though they couldn't have cared less and it is really bad business. I was thinking they could have offered us a brief family session or something to make up for this or something and they never said a word. It is heartbreaking to be sad about your wedding pictures.
