Starting with my seamless phone call to schedule an appointment, to the pleasant, professional manner we were greeted with when we arrived for the exam. As I talked to her about all the issues We're going through with my 16-year-old Westie's allergies, and pulmonary disease, Dr. McDaniel not only gave us all the time we needed to discuss all our issues concerning our 16-year-old Westie, she displayed true compassion, integrity and experience and gave it all at a very fair price for such an important service... This animal hospital has been storing dog semen for clients for many years. When the best vet…read moreretired and new people are running this place, things started going downhill. Now, they are extorting the clients by saying that they will no longer store the semen and that the clients MUST use a business that they want them to use or else, they will charge a lot of money to transfer the semen to the client's choice. This is wrong, wrong, wrong. Extortion!!! Also, they waited to inform the clients of what they were doing until the last minute and gave a deadline to the clients to decide and complete paperwork. However, their pdf form is outdated and poorly done. And, they did not provide the proper paperwork to the clients (their freeze sheets on the dog semen stored) when they sent out their letters, informing the clients of the situation. We received a letter from then, dated May 26, 2026. We have arranged for transport of our semen with a person already going there this weekend to pick up theirs, with their own tank, and now, this business is refusing to allow this to occur. Even though, they already approved it, in writing, yesterday. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ EXTORTION!!!

Kristen was great and she said my cat was calm and results were very good. Today was different. I wanted her to get hygiene shave and bath.Kristen brought my cat out to me and said she was unable to groom her due to aggressive behavior and trying to bite her. She was very nice and I really appreciate Kristin for recognizing my cats needs. Cat is 21 yrs old now and has arthritis that is treated monthly. She must have been in pain today so grooming was not an option for her health. I will keep brushing the areas she lets me brush. I would not hesitate to return with another pet. Thank you Kristin. We were able to save a puppy from this place. When we arrived at their location we were kind of…read morestunned. It looked like someone's residence with a barn type edifice in the back. We were introduced to our puppy under a car port with a dirt floor with the puppy in a little fenced area. The lady that met us was smoking cigarettes and just tossing the butts on the ground near where the puppy was. There were cigarette butts on the ground all over the place. The smell of feces was so strong that it made me ill and there was a large pile of empty Busch beer cans piled up on what looked like a pump house. I wish that I could simply forget that place. When we got our puppy home we found out that he had severe Giardia and infection in both ears. Blood in his stool and red inflamed ears. He was also terrified of everything. It took about two months to get him healthy and about a year of working with trainers to get him properly socialized. We contacted the vet that was on the vaccination paperwork that was provided to see if we could get more information about his health history and were advised by them that they had only done vaccinations, no examinations or any other type of testing or care. We also attempted to contact the "breeder" that was provided on another document that Heartland Puppies provided only to get a constant ring with no answer and no option to leave a voice message. When we attempted to search for the breeder on line we could not find them on the internet. Today our puppy is much better and enjoys the love and attention from many but it took a tremendous effort to get him to this point, not to mention the cost of it all. I would not recommend this business and will definitely never return.
