Dinner and cruise is $75; there is a cheaper cruise only option where you can buy food (hot dogs, burgers) onboard for about $15. Overall we enjoyed it and had a good time. The boarding process was annoyingly inefficient and took nearly an hour! They should streamline this - for example they can process dinner people while in line m. My son and I meet Canoeheads at The Sir Wilfrid Laurier Boat launch at 8 am. We road in comfort to Devon. Once in Devon. The prep of the Canoes and other boats was fast. A briefing on water safety and what sites to watch for was informative. We were on the North Saskatchewan river before 9 am ready for an active day. Once on the river I was impressed by the quality of the canoeing equipment. The padding was easy; with nice lifejackets and paddles. The canoes were great and I always felt safe. Canoeing is an activity that I enjoy but getting out is the hard part - Canoeheads made a day out on the water easy. We saw Moose, some deer, a Bald Eagle. A Muskrat and many ducks & geese were in the water that day too. It was a great trip. Along the way we tried to take the narrow passage whenever there was an island. As we canoed past the islands that is where we saw most of the wildlife BTW. Getting out at Laurier park was easy! Canoeheads met us there and we never lifted a boat all day. We cannot stress enough how easy it was to canoe in the Edmonton River valley with these guys. It was fast to book. No Hastle to get out-of-town. No cars to shuttle or pick up after spending an enjoyable day floating down the river. Honestly were were home before dinner and really enjoyed the day. There's plenty of hidden gem viewpoints on these trails that can only be accessed through certain points from the nearest road, or some jogging through the bush! One of my favourite places is called "the edge of the world" (as pictured) - a best-known secret spot off the trails that more and more people are discovering (it's even on google!). In the summer it's a great place to hang out, sitting on the edge of a large chunk of foundation in the side of the hill, with about a 2ft wide by 12ft long wall poking from the ground (hence the name "edge of the world"). It's also enjoyable in the winter, just exert more caution with snow & ice build-up along the wall. Cheers and see you on the trails! ‍

We had three instructors/helpers who were all super friendly and helpful! The scenery simply could not be best against the majestic Edmonton river valley! I totally need to come back for one of the hour long tours! They even offer winter snow tours complete with winter tires ;-) In the summer they rent out other items like bicycles and also have BBQ's. Thank you River Valley Adventures, and especially Josh, for making our experience too notch! I felt completely safe and supported after a quick one-on-one set up!

Waiver is electronic so bring your phone. We did the Whyte/Happy Beer Street Tour that spends about half of the tour on Whyte Ave and the other half touring the quieter Happy Beer Street. This tour is 2 hours long and stops at 2 different venues - we stopped at Community and O'Byrne's Irish Pub. Was super awkward going down Whyte ave. People pointing and laughing and taking our pictures. If you don't like the attention sit on the bike's right (right hand closer to the front of the bike). Community was a let down as the bike's guide raved about the pizza-by-the-slice but when we got there at 5:30PM they said they had NO pizza ready and since we had only 30minutes at the stop they would Not be able to make it in-time for us :( O'Byrne's Irish Pub was fine but by then we were just working on finishing the drinks that were pre-bought with the bike (30drink package) and did not want to spend more money on drinks. It was +25degrees when we started but cooled nicely by 7PM but we were all a sweaty mess by then. Confirmed you should not wear flip flops as you do have to pedal and you want steady feet. i think there was 4 pedal spots per side and 1 per side that is over the wheel that does Not pedal and a bench at the back of the bike for non-pedaling people as well. 30 drink package was about right for the 12 of us as approx. 3 of us were driving. Great variety of drinks they offered from lager (no name-brands), cherry almond vodka cocktail, vodka lemonade, hard iced tea. And of course free water via water bottles. Every person (except the bench at the back) has a cup holder and the organizer of my event made and brough those yeti cups personalized with our names and those fit fine in the cup holders too and we just poured the cans in those. You can bring a small bag/purse and they can put it up "in the rafters" can give it to you every stop as well. Overall a really cool experience and I am sure I will be back.

Fees and beer orders are paid in advance. When your party arrives, you must all sign electronic waivers. The rules of the road are explained and you are on your way. Lots of cheering and laughter. We stopped at 2 different neighbourhood brew pubs. Sip your pint and use the facilities then head back. Time flew. Our 2 pilots were super energetic and kept the party going. Nice folks. P.S.
