Driving the Segway was so cool! It's like nothing you have ever tried. You feel like you will fall but this smart machine makes you move! The weather changed on us and it was cold, but that didn't stop us. We were able to do a session and learn how the Segway worked. It's pretty incredible the way these work, I think it would be a cool outing with a group to do a tour down the boardwalk. A cool idea here is that this Segway shop is right in the river valley and has a nice little coffee shop. You can grab a snack here and they have a little patio here as well so you can kick back and soak up some sun next time you are swinging by. They also have bicycle rentals here too & snowshoes in the winter! Chris the owner was a nice guy and for $49 for an hour that's pretty reasonable to get out there on a $7000 machine for an hour. Definitely a new cool thing to do!

Why walk when you can effortlessly glide? The segway experience is so much fun! Initially, I was a bit terrified for my life until I realized that it's pretty difficult to fall off of one of these well-designed machines. The instructors were very reassuring and trained us in all aspects of segway-ing. Even moving at a turtle's pace was fun; imagine hitting top speeds! I think the segway tour is a great way to enjoy the beautiful river valley. Definitely a fun group or date idea. In the summer, you can also rent bikes from here. There's a little coffee shop inside, called Urban Green, that serves Intelligentsia coffee and the usual cafe fare. You can sip your drink and enjoy the view from their riverfront patio!

Tried River Valley Adventure for the first time today, and also set foot on a segway for the first time with them. The team there set us up with helmets and had us understanding the basics within minutes. They were kind, patient and described the movements very well! Though easy, this activity uses muscles you're not used to using! It was a fun way to try something new! We just had a taster class today thanks to Yelp Fit Club, but all three of us agreed that a trip to the River Valley Adventure, and their awesome segways, will be in the future this summer!

Beautiful view for the Segway tour!

Segways are so much fun to ride! Had an amazing time learning to ride, though our time was short, it was totally worth it! Chris was very friendly and definitely put our nerves as ease when we first got on our segways. Definitely a hidden gem in our city :) I would totally recommend it to anyone who's out to try something different. I can't wait to try it again!!

I loved my first attempt at Segway. The quick training session teaches you everything you need to know. The staff are super friendly and experienced, and you will want to go again and again. I even got my official Segway driver's licence. What a fun way to explore the area. The views are fabulous. Don't you want to try it?

I've always found that high quality road bike rentals are extremely rare to find, so this was a welcome service for me in Edmonton. In fact, this may be the only outfit providing road bike rentals in the city. Ben was highly professional and quick with leading me through the rental process. He went above and beyond my expectations, going out of his way to facilitate the pickup and drop-off as well. He also swapped out the standard pedals included with the rental bike with my own clipless set. The bike itself was a Felt Z95 and was in excellent condition. It included a tool bag, spare tube and pump that (thankfully) I never had to use! Based on my experience with their rental service, I have no doubt that their cycling tours (including one from Jasper to Banff) would be excellent also. Highly recommended!

He picked a great itinerary, gave us clear instructions, set up correct expectations for each section of the ride, met us with a smile on his face at every rest stop and with snacks or lunch, took great photos, and clearly enjoyed being with us throughout the trip. We had a superb ride through this very scenic parkway and he suggested and accompanied us on great side trips or hikes. Making the e-bike available was very helpful and we cannot thank Ben enough. He really enjoys his work, going out in nature, and taking care of the riders. The ride, scenery, and Ben made for the best vacation ever!

I have been going to this store since 2010 for many reasons that include good customer service,…read moregood quality items, and no matter what I know that I will always be taken care of. It's obvious that the owners Cam and Elise are passionate about what they do and that shines through in every interaction you have with them. Cam, the co-owner/bike mechanic not only does an exceptional job but is always thinking outside of the box. I think without him, I might have had to buy a new bike and lost a very very sentimental bike to me if he did not have this ability. I've read the other reviews for this store and I can comment and add to: pricing of gear: we all know that the prices of gear are expensive. This shop isn't large so it is limited in what it can bring in. If you want a 1000 choices, this isn't the shop for you. They have to be strategic in what they are bringing in and while their goal is to give a variety of price options, what they won't compromise is quality even if that means, at times, there is only a pricey option. I appreciate that as I would rather spend a bit more than spend, in the end, the same amount buying the same thing five times because it fell apart. Customer service / judgment of customers: it doesn't happen, they don't judge you on your appearance. If they say something is very expensive that is just part of the dialogue they are having with you and not them judging you on your situation. Projecting your insecurities onto business owners isn't going to get anyone, anywhere. I do understand that there are some stores that do that but I've seen them interact with people with limited means to people with a lot and they treat everyone the same. To me good value for a store like this is good customer service, excellent bike maintenance/knowing my bike will always be taken care of, honesty, and a balance of very good quality and price. I'm not a person that can buy a carbon fiber bike for example but I know there are many other options for me. You can't go wrong shopping here but you can take your chances elsewhere if you choose. There are some good other shops....and there are many that aren't.

I mentioned I was looking for a good place to get my Road Bike serivced as I had a big ride coming up. He mentioned Element. I went there and from the time I walked in the door 2 years ago to now. I would highly recommend them. Elise and Cam are so informed and Knowledgeable. Elise not even knowing me, and in talks of my ride and possible inclement weather offered to me a Rain Jacket ; no charge and trust I would be back- as I was ordering a special one they did not carry. Came in handy as weather one day of ride was Wet; Windy and single digits. What other shop would do this. Cam also is second to none in his knowledge and ability on the mechaincs of the BIkes. I have had mine set up at times from other shops - who are good, but always something not quite right. Toke them to Cam and top notch. and Reasonably priced. Did not over sel on parts not needed as one shop did it still did not have set up. I am into second season on the one bike with now close to 1000km and everything is perfect still. Cam and Elise also take the time and like to talk to a person. I could go on, but as you can see, I am Happy with Element and Highly Recommend them.

Please read the whole experience for a twist at the end. I went in last summer (2025) after visiting a few bike stores to pick a new bike to be able to qualify for events around my city. This store won me over by offering a $2150.00 bike on sale for $1700. It was perfect for me at the time as I was planning to up grade the bike to a professional spec as I figured out what needed to be changed on it to fit my riding style. I was a professional mountain biker for 6 years and know what I need to do to customize a bike to work best for me. The very first thing I wanted to change were the tires. I was having issues slipping going up hill so I found grip that helped specifically with that. I called them up for the up grade and they responded with the tires are to expensive, they didn't tell me the price of them, they were just to expensive. Im guessing because I picked a brand outside their carried brand names, they just said no because I gave them my contacts information to get the tires and they made an excuse about not being able to buy them from another store. My contact had them for a very good price and if I bought them they'd put them on. Sooo like, its to expensive for them, cant buy itbfrom another store if they're affordable. I still wonder to this day if there is anything I could've done or said to get them to order these tires. Although I wanted this grip change, there was an urgency to this order as the factory valve kept on leaking. This is an issue I brought up with them, I had mentioned the leak sealant came in clutch and they never brought it up again. They actually changed the subject. Next I wanted the handle bars customized, I'm not racing over super technical terrain where an extra 2 or 3 inches of width would be beneficial to control the bike, I want to be as small and compact as possible to be able to pass people in gaps on single trails. They said they didn't recommend this change, almost as if they are clueless about this style of racing and basically flat out refused the modification. Most recently, I wanted to order a new front chain crank. Im a 6'3", 220 LBS guy. That means I have a lot of weight to push down on my pedal which allows me to be very aggressive in my pushes on a bike. I brought my bike to the store to ask about this. Now, this may just be me, but I would think ìf someone took the time and effort to bring the bike into the store. Working out a solution to the reason they are there would be a priority. There are tons of solutions I. Would've entertained as I have a small issue with the drive train (that when i brought up was told it would work it self out) but yet again, the part i need is un available and nothing they can do about it. I mean, im not quite sure why this store exists. The staff doesnt know how to set up a bike professionally. Their source for parts are non exsistant. The shop doesnt want to do any work according to the few times I've dealt with the salesman's. The only good reviews I could find on this store are parents bringing their kids bikes in for repairs. Which leads me to think thisbstore as a whole is equivalent to my next door neighbors dad with a tool box. After all the above was said and done, and as being a 43 year old that is retired. My disposable income allows me to make very rash decisions about what I want to accomplish financially. The issues I have been having with this bike and the store I bought it from made me so frustrated I marked the bike as sold on bike index and then left it in the park behind my house for someone to steal it and get it off my hands. I am now on a new brand of bike dealing with a store that can get parts and wants the work. I can not recommend this store on this app any less than 1 star. But I have found there are so many other options in this city that are a little bit to so much better to deal with in my opinion. (I feel like I should add the fact there are many store that are much worse as well) Shop at your own risk, for all I know my experience is an anomaly. Maybe they just don't like my face or something. But if you decide to shop here, good luck.
