My husband ordered the seafood basket. Crab cake was burnt, shrimp were burnt, and compensation was 10% reduction in our bill. What an insult. I ordered the Nacho appetizer and specified "no jalapenos". My plate came with a mountain of jalapenos covering the top. I removed them a to dish. We are not tourists and have gone to Lunkers in the past without incidence. We should have simply refused to eat the items and just pay for our drinks and go home. Food is amazing. Anything made with beef tastes way better than it would anywhere else. I usually get the Lunkers burger. You might be interested in trying their coffee because they bring fresh cream/milk in a 3 oz container. The service is average with check-ins occurring occasionally. This establishment has indoor and outdoor seating with a bar that's connected to both. They have 2 pool tables, so I would go after work with my colleagues to play and have a few brews. read more

I had the cheeseburger and it was fantastic. My daughter had the garlic wings and she's said they tasted really bad and she couldn't eat them. I said I will take them and I will have them for lunch tomorrow. She got sick to her stomach just from eating one wing and was sick that night and into the next day. Used to be a good place to stop and eat but our last two visits were awful. The food is very expensive and poor quality. Their idea of a Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich was chicken tenders on a roll with some sauce and cheese, the crispy chicken sandwich was also chicken tenders (nothing on the menu says this) and my chicken breast was so dried out I could barely cut it let alone eat it. What a disappointing experience. Ive been to this establishment several times so on this particular day I recommended it. Service was terrible and so was the food. The waitress forgot to put in our order right away and when she was called out on that she lied to our faces. We waited over an hour for the less than par food. Manager did nothing. We were served our drinks fast and orders were taken with in 15 min. more dinks waiting for food tempter drops 1 hours goes by and people are upset leaving, no food yet! @ 20:30 the 1st food appetizers show up for the first four people but the other ate have to wait they get up and leave. 15 minutes later the food shows up for six of the 12 people but by then three couples I've already left. The waitress says we're going to add the price of their food to your tabs and we become bullshit. After waiting more than an hour and 45 minutes for the food no competition for the manager not an apology nothing Half of the people leave. I would never go back to this place again. read more

The food here isn't good. I tried the Seafood Platter which included fried haddock, fried shrimp, a fried crab cake, and French fries. The "seafood" was likely frozen and precooked (Think Gorton's Fish Sticks) and the crab cake was filled with slimy filler. The only decent part of the meal was the fries. read more

Instead of apologizing, she got angry and said she didn't forget to punch in our meals. They charged us the full bill and other than saying the kitchen was backed up, offered no reason why the food came after tables who showed up forty minutes AFTER we ordered. However, it was busy for a Monday night which is a good sign. The restaurant was casual and clean and our server checked back frequently during our meal. I always read and take negative views with a grain of salt-that being said this truly deserves 1 star. We had lunch here the same day and we had no issues. Dinner time was a different story. We were sitting with a larger party (8) and we came about 30 minutes afterwards so essentially we were a "new table" as the large party was waiting on appetizers. After about 5 minutes the server cane around and we requested menus and gave our drink order. She returned with our drinks and it was all downhill from there. We watched 4 tables (including the one right next to us) get appetizers, entrees, one had dessert and then leave. Our issue is that our server would not even look in our direction......she literally avoided making eye contact and we had another server ask if we needed anything I explained to her we had been waiting for a long while. She told our server who promptly ignored her and proceeded to order drinks from the bartender and wait for them....hello....you can walk the 12 steps to the kitchen to check. We decided to pay for our drinks and leave so we walked up to the bar and explained our situation. She was very sweet and apologetic and walked to the kitchen to see if the food was ready......I don't think they even had the order. She then told our waitress who when she walked up to me and said "what's wrong" ...I explained and she proceeded to roll her eyes while she said let me take the food off the bill. I could not get over the eye roll. It's not like they were busy...it was 1/3 occupied at best (especially after the 4 tables left). Even with the crappiest of service, I tip 15%. I was in Okeechobee for business over a weekend and found Lunker's when looking for a place close by to catch the USF game that Saturday night. The place is very clean and the food is good - I ordered wings and a house salad. The staff was attentive and the customers, almost certainly all locals were friendly and enthusiastic sports fans. If you're in Okeechobee and looking for a sport bar Lunker's certainly seems to be more then just a safe bet. read more

I've now been to Lunkers twice in the past 6 months. Three of us ate there the first time, 2 of us this time. Collectively we agreed the food was somewhere between lackluster and just not good. I could not finish my tuna salad sandwich. I don't know how you can mess that sandwich up, but there was just something wrong with it. Dunno how to describe what it was. Beer was super cold and good. But the service was off, even tho there were not many other customers that night. I like the place. It's clean, a great space, etc. Probably just fine for drinking, but I would avoid the food. Nice place with great sandwiches . They have multiple TVs for watching sports . Great seating indoors with booths, high top tables or bar. Outdoor seating with fans & pool tables . Ordered wings as an appetizer, after 20 mins of waiting when I asked about my order I was told that even though it was a appetizer my food would come out after the party of 6's order since they had been waiting. After receiving my burger and wings appetizer at the same time, I noticed my charred burger. (Ordered well done) I quickly told the waitress. The waitress then talked to the manager and told me I'd have to pay for another burger since I asked for well done. I have never heard of such a thing in my life. After the manager took the time to walk over herself she quickly seen the charred burger and told me it would be 15-20 mins. By then I had lost my appetite over all of the foolishness. The wings were some of the better wings that I've had, and they were made to order. They also seem like they have decent alcohol specials... I saw a sign for $5 pitchers. I would have partaken in that but I didn't want my boyfriends family thinking I was some lush getting her drink on at 4pm on a Sunday. "1 pitcher with a straw please." Joking.... When our party of 4 walked in we were told sit anywhere even though there's a sign sa wai for hostess after seating ourselves we waited 15 minutes for our waitress to come to our table she took our drink orders and another 15 minutes went by before she came back to our table to take our dinner order and bring 3 drinks instead of 4 40 minutes later she came back to the table to see if we wanted any more drinks we a how much longer for our food after asking to see the manager our food was served to us 4 burgers one of the burgers was sent back to the kitchen because of undercooked bacon only then did the manager come to our table wanting to know why it was sent back and we would still be charged for the burger even though it was not edible I sure hope no one gets sick from the under cooked food they serve read more
