Atmosphere-good; fried Haddock fish-2 huge pieces that I couldn't eat it all, fries were good, coleslaw - not good; staff-friendly. Overall- good place to eat but I was disappointed there was no grilled salmon like we saw on the website.

Seafood Platter: Fried Haddock, Fried Shrimp, Fried Crab Cake, and French Fries

The food here isn't good. I tried the Seafood Platter which included fried haddock, fried shrimp, a fried crab cake, and French fries. The "seafood" was likely frozen and precooked (Think Gorton's Fish Sticks) and the crab cake was filled with slimy filler. The only decent part of the meal was the fries.

Loved the fried grouper basket. Really really good. I always like fish and chips. They have it going on if you crave some fried fish.

We wandered into the Village Tavern of Sebastian on a Saturday afternoon after running errands, and…read moreit instantly felt like one of those hidden gems you kick yourself for not finding sooner. We live just down the road in Vero Beach, so discovering a neighborhood tavern with this much charm practically in our backyard was a real win. We had already eaten lunch at Nini's Cuban across the parking lot, so we stopped in just for a beer. Within minutes we were pulled straight into the atmosphere. Nancy, the bartender and proprietor, is the kind of host every small tavern dreams of. Warm, funny, and completely at ease, she makes newcomers feel like long‑time regulars while keeping the whole place running smoothly. The beer selection is far better than you would expect from a cozy local spot. There is a rotating craft lineup that rivals bigger bars, along with the classics and a surprisingly solid wine list. We spent half our visit sipping and the other half laughing at the hilarious signs covering the walls and at the antics of a couple of regulars who clearly keep the place lively. We have not tried the food yet, but the vibe alone guarantees we will be back and we will be coming hungry. This is the kind of place where you settle in, meet the locals, and let the afternoon drift. For the record, our beer of choice that day was "Cougar Bait." It is as much fun to drink as it is to say!

From the moment I slid onto a barstool, I knew I was in for something special -- and not just because the beer list reads like a love letter to hop heads and casual sippers alike. Each pint poured is thoughtful, crisp, and refreshing, with local craft brews rubbing shoulders beside tried‑and‑true favorites. I lost count somewhere around the third flight, but honestly? Worth it. And then there's Nancy, the bartender -- sweet lord, if every tavern had her warmth and precision, we'd all be happier people. She recommended beers without braggy pretension, anticipated refills like a mind reader, and managed a perfect balance of friendly conversation and professional grace. Her service alone is worth the trip. Great food, killer beers, and a bartender who makes you feel like a VIP? Village Tavern doesn't just raise the bar -- it is the bar.

They were incredibly friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It's rare to find a place where the staff makes such a lasting impression, but Katy, Zoe, and Vasco truly elevated the entire experience with their kindness and exceptional service. If you're looking for great food, delicious drinks, and a team that treats you like family, The Island Bar is definitely worth a visit. We can't wait to come back!

Ambiance: Beachfront restaurant (well, sort of beachfront as…read morea Beach in this area is closed off for a major rebuilding process) it's your typical surfer, beachcomber, swimmer type restaurant that you'll find in most oceanfront areas. Weatherford wood walls, outside tables under an awning. Inside tables are also available, although, why anyone would choose an inside table when you have a front row seat to the ocean is beyond me. Interestingly,, they have a few swing tables that you can rock back-and-forth while you eat. Not sure how many people will choose those "moving'" tables but, they're an interesting idea nonetheless. Service: I was provided with my choice of table. (I chose the swinging tables (I just had to try The experience of swinging while eating - which was actually pretty pleasant).I was seated immediately upon my arrival. My server whose name was Cynthia whose name tag said Helga (don't ask) served me quickly and with a smile. She came by several times to check on my needs but was never an overpowering presence. Couldn't ask for anything more with a server. Be warned, (which my server by the way did warn me about.), They charge an automatic 18% gratuity on the bill. Not a problem in my case as a service was excellent. The food: I ordered the mushroom and brie omelette. It came with a side of potatoes and I requested a biscuit. The was your typical omelette the plus being the tomatoes were super fresh but could've had more brie. If potatoes were combined with peppers and onions and we're nice and crispy of friends just the way they should be). Unfortunately they were out of biscuits (even though they have a biscuits and gravy dish). How you run out of SKU Ott's on a Saturday morning is beyond me. My tea was your standard black tea (they did not have steamed milk) served with honey. Interestingly, they didn't have a decent size cup so I was provided with 2 cups and two teabags. The bottom line: As with all my reviews, my (Customer so what) would I return? This restaurant is not in my top 10 but, if the beach was reopened and I wanted an oceanfront dining experience this could be a pretty good place to visit. The service was excellent. The food pretty good and the atmosphere great.
