The past year has been hell health wise for me trying to figure out what is up with me. I had several procedures done with a referral from Sarah and not one time did she ever call and check on me to see how I was feeling . Yes the doctor who did the procedure did check up on me and I felt he really cared. With Sarah I never felt that. So I have changed doctors and hope my experience is better. I would not recommend paying the Xtra money to go to Wellcare MD.

Then because my daughter had a temp of 100.1 the provider said we were not allowed to wait inside. Was told she would need a Covid test and flu test before being seen.. Covid test was supposedly positive so we were then turned away. Did 2 Covid tests at home and both were negative! Went to ER and my daughter had a ruptured ear drum! Thank god for ERs because urgent cares in this town are horrible! To top it off another pt got a $300 bill because they did not tell her that her insurance was out of network! Horrible service! Dr. Peters strikes me as bright, thorough, engaged and highly competent (yes, all doctors should be that way, but sadly, many are not). Equally important in my book is the fact that he is warm, compassionate and respectful of how you want to handle your own issues. Though I am not yet a senior, I am grateful that we have such a man to handle a practice of what is probably mainly seniors, as this group of people (my mother among them) deserves and needs a kind, gentle and thoughtful person to deal with their pain and health issues. On my first visit, Dr. Peters was running well behind schedule, and actually seemed genuinely sorry and quite embarrassed about this -- not like most doctors who ALWAYS keep you waiting and seem to feel it it their god-given right to waste your time (though god forbid you waste a moment of theirs!). Though this may seem like a small point, it says something important about him, in my opinion, which I would say comes down to a deep regard for other human beings. Many busy professionals -- not just doctors -- could take a page from this man! There is also a nurse named Susan who draws blood and such for Dr. Peters, and she is a true joy to be around. Really, you are in great hands in this office...we are very lucky to have these people in Redding.
