I went to PUC when I was bit by a dog. I saw Vanessa Demoss who has seen me before. She is so patient and provides such excellent care in my opinion. She listens attentively and lets you get your questions and concerns out without making you feel rushed. She takes the time to answer any and all my questions never making me feel like I'm asking too many or I need to hurry up. She always explains why a certain medication will work better than another and not only that she's just very kind and compassionate. It makes me feel like I'm always in good hands. Also, I would like to say that Prestige urgent care is awesome. Anytime I've called the receptionist at the front desk have always answered my questions or if I had a question for my doctor, they gave the message to the doctor and got back to me just like they said they would. The medical assistance that have called me back to answer questions have all been nothing but wonderful. For this reason, I decided to join the monthly membership. I feel like I have a place I can go and take care of all my health needs in one spot, which is really nice. I've been to all the most urgent cares in Redding and I'm not trying to say anything bad about the other ones but for me and what I experienced I just feel like there's no comparison. They are more organized and efficient and have always provided top-notch Excellent care. read more

4th time coming here, it was never a wait longer than 10 minutes even considering there was 5-10 people each time in front of me. I am not a annual member so my offive visit is like $100 or something vs the $25 co pay at other walk in clinics. Paying the extra money was always worth it when you are seen by a doctor fast. Today i got here at 11:24 and had one lady in front of me. 56 minutes later I am still in the waiting room. I will go to Hilltop medical next time and save 75$.... the front desk staff said they are shortstaffed of doctors... I wasted my money. I was in pretty severe pain and I couldn't get in to see my regular doctor and the ER at Shasta Regional was disgusting (different review). I went to Prestige to get some relief. The doctor prescribed only 7 days of antibiotics. They also said they would bill my insurance for the lab for a $25 fee. A week later infection came right back. I was able to get in to my doctor who prescribed 21 days of antibiotics. Then I got a $125 bill from the lab prestige used because they don't take my federal employee insurance. Unless you have money to throw away, don't go here! read more

You have to walk up to the door in order to actually be able to see a sign. Express that to the young lady Cassidy working the front desk was greeted with nothing but attitude afterwards finally decided her to ask her to cancel my membership due to her rudeness that I was experiencing it as a paying monthly customer. This was a good experience. I took my daughter in the day after Thanksgiving. They did close early. But we made it on time. The front office staff was curious, quick bit of paperwork. They said they were busy. We were there probable an hour and half. For $100. I felt this was worth it. My daughter got an antibiotic on board and I'm hopefully she will be on the mend. I waited awhile to write this. My close friend was a patient here. She was being treated by a Nurse Practitioner names Stephanie. This was a nightmare from the start. X ray were ordered and she was sent to ORTHO. I called to speak with this nurse Practitioner and due to HIPAA although my friend ASKED me to call they would not let me speak with her. So, I left her a message with my concerns. I am mentioned I have been a nurse for 30 years. Going to this clinic was a terrible experience. I came in with an injury to my wrist. The FNP spent a few minutes interviewing and checking my mobility pain tolerances and made a diagnosis that I had a serious infection in my arm. She did not listen to my complaints of wrist rotation pain that I had experienced rotating my wrist after hyper extending my wrist. She ordered a painful antibiotic shot and oral antibiotics for me and informed me that my infection was very serious. She instructed me to do nothing until the infection cleared up and go to the ER if I didn't get better. After 2 days of worrying in pain without any immobilization of my wrist, and worrying that might lose my arm due to a serious infection and not working per her orders, I wasn't any better. I went to the ER. I told them what I was diagnosed with at prestige. The ER physician immediately ruled out an infection when she saw my symptoms, then sent me to get Xrays. They concluded that my wrist was injured and I obviously had no infection. The ER physician said I should have been Xrayed and my wrist casted by Prestige. They cast my lower arm at the ER and I was in much less pain. This FNP at Prestige completely misdirected my treatments and misdiagnosed a first aid level injury. By doing so, she cost me 2-1/2 days of needless pain and stressful worrying and lost productivity. I strongly discourage going to this clinic for anything more severe than poison oak. The most appalling thing is that they will not admit that they should have Xrayed my wrist and offer ZERO apologies for their mistakes. read more

I went in experiencing pain and swelling in my toe. It is unclear if it's an I jury or something else. The doctor prescribed a medication but no one sent it to the pharmacy I chose. I had to wait until the next day to call. Unfortunately, while their website says they are open, their phone says they are closed. It does not appear they are open on the weekends despite their website. So now I'll likely have to wait a week to get my medication. read more

Definitely nothing urgent about this place. I came in at 6 and only 2 people waiting in the office. They got called back shortly after I finished my paperwork. They sat me in the back around 6:45, give or take a few minutes. And then I just sat in a tiny room until 7:12 when I left unseen. I accomplished nothing here, not even sure there is medical staff on hand. I guess they took my blood pressure. I did get to hear all about how the front desk girl was upset because someone was going to have 2 black eyes at her wedding because they fell face first into an ottoman. How dare they! They audacity, knowing full well they would be in a wedding. I should also note that I literally had to ask for my drivers license back because "they forgot" to give me it back. Very unprofessional. My spouse and I have been members for a few years now and noticed the quality has really dropped off in the last several months especially since Dr Ernest left. I was the only person in the waiting room when I was called back, and there had been only one other person in the waiting room when I first arrived. They were not busy. They sat me in the waiting for 1/2 hour all the while I'm listening to them laughing and joking around like little school kids. I finally walked out to their surprise and they all got silent and had a deer in the headlights look on their faces. None of them asked why I was leaving, they probably couldn't care less. I went here mid July for urgent care for a uti. Because I was not a member they wanted $500 upfront to do anymore than a uti pee test. So I paid for membership. I also asked for follow up scan they said no we'll do blood test first. No blood lab is open after 3:30 anymore so I revisited Redding Saturday just after 11 when only blood lab closed. So I had done at hospital. I called to ensure they would get the results. At a well care appointment weeks later I also again confirmed they had blood test and doctor would go over in my immediate visit. She didn't so I called a day or 2 later. They left a voicemail Friday that doctor would absolutely call me! I knew it! Well zero call. On Tuesday I received blood test copy in the mail. Bad 6 things flagged!!! So I call them. Reception is a problem if they hire staff to blow off them doing any action their reception is perfect. Just hair and nails dumb and uncaring. The doctor isn't a doctor she's a nurse practitioner which is fine for me because she cared but this staff is bullshit. Fire them immediately and get professional staff. I still have no call. I moved to Shasta County 3 years ago. It was a struggle with insurance to try to establish as a new patient anywhere. Medical centers and doctors were at maximum capacity and did not have enough doctors to accept new patients. I was told about Prestige and I went without a membership and was seen immediately. I want you all to know how appreciative I am for what Ms. Trish Patterson Nurse Practitioner did for my husband. My husband was never sick ever at the age of 66, never had an issue never even had to have blood drawn ever. He was an overall healthy guy until he got sick. He had gone to two other Dr.'s one saying he had the flu, the other saying it was either tuberculosis or leukemia never even checking his heart. My husband and I were incredibly skeptical but then we went to Trish. She did a thorough blood test and found he had endocarditis. If it wasn't for Trish, he would of died as per my husbands cardiologist. Most people don't get the diagnosis until it's to late. Ms. Trish followed through, making sure all the required tests were done, helped us with follow up on results and will forever be our Dr. In the future. Most importantly I want everyone to know how remarkable my husbands recovery has been. The cardiologist said that this has not happened before... Trish put my husband on a heathy regime of vitamins, vitamin D and G3 by pharmanex, which is a healthy juice that she recommended and with that after 6 months his endocarditis is gone with no residual problems. The cardiologist stated that whatever you are doing DO NOT STOP. I can't enough about Trish and the nutritional advice she gave us. I've had to use this facility twice now because of their late hours-being available when other Drs & walk-ins are closed. Upfront they tell you they are not a follow-up or long term treatment facility. They are a walk in, emergency only medical facility and if your needing testing or any follow up treatment-it's not the place for you! (They DO offer a membership type plan for those that need regular, ongoing medical care, but are unable to have medical insurance coverage.) All this said-I wish I could go here for everything! Professional treatment, fast, and couldn't be easier. I have insurance coverage & I DO need ongoing Rx treatment so I can't see them for all my needs, but they were lifesavers for us when we needed their help. It says something when I'm willing to pay out of pocket for treatment here- instead of enduring the ER at either of the local hospitals here in Redding! After spending 6 to 8 plus hours, unable to sleep, just to end up getting an Rx for an antibiotic? I'd rather come to that conclusion in 20 mins! Especially since I have children at home, needing their mom, I'm in and out with-in an hour of leaving my home. I had to wait longer at Walgreens (Open 24hrs) for our RX! **I know the medical staff at the local ERS are limited by their employers policies-I'm not pitching on them here, it's all about medical policies & "politics" here, and I hope to help anyone wondering if they should seek quick medical help at this facility. read more

Excellent customer service and professionals at this site. I was evacuated from a fire area, on the road and away from home. I needed a prescription refill and my Dr's office was under stress handling emergency only issues until the following Monday (or so I was told by the answering service). I was in and out of this facility within an hour (on a weekend day) and on my way to a local pharmacy for my prescription refill. When my insurance rejected my refill prescription request, reasoning it was "too soon to refill", the ladies at this office provided me with the means to "get 'er done"... exceptional friendly, helpful and professional service from this provider!! read more

I have health insurance and a family doctor so my reason for visiting this place was simply because I was desperate! It started with what felt like a sinus infection then developed into terrible pain in my inner ear. I went to my family doctor who took all of 3 seconds to look into my ear and said, "nope! No ear infection!" By 2 am the next morning, my ear hurt so badly, I thought my head would explode! What DID explode was my ear drum... due to infection! I called my family doctor as soon as their office opened and explained what had just happened and the MA said she would relay the info to my doctor and they would call me back. Well, hours later, she called back to tell me they had called in a prescription for an antibiotic to my pharmacy. They acted like they didn't believe me as I was explaining about the intense pain in my ear, followed by the loud "pop", followed by blood and fluid draining out of my ear! Had my doctor taken a bit more time to actually look inside the ear the day before, he would have seen what was going on So 5 days of antibiotics later, I'm still not feeling better and now I can barely hear out of my left ear. 10 more days of not getting better and I'd had it! At this point I had decided I'm NOT going back to my family doctor and started researching walk in clinics. The only clinic with positive reviews was Prestige! The only drawback was they don't take insurance but at this point I was so sick, I figured that it would be worth paying the $90 if they could actually help me! I went first thing the following morning. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with compassion and respect. The atmosphere is peaceful. The staff is happy. The place is clean and organized. The physician who saw me was awesome! When she sat down and asked me what was going on, she actually listened. As I finished explaining my symptoms, she smiled and said, "I'm pretty sure I know what's going on because I had exactly the same problem!" She briefly described the odd procession of symptoms I was experiencing and what she did to get better! The odd combination of sinus, ear and respiratory infection was something she had not only experienced herself but had recently treated several others for the same issues. She was guessing perhaps caused at least in part by the air quality in our area at the time from the fires. She wrote a prescription for a different antibiotic than I was given initially aLong with a short term steroid to reduce the inflammation in my ear as well as recommended a couple of OTC products she found had worked well when she had this same issue. She was thorough, caring and confident and I just wanted to hug her! Within just a few days I felt SO much better. It was well worth the $90 and we are considering changing our health insurance plan and joining prestige to cover our basic care needs! In today's healthcare climate, it seems the bottom line for doctors is to see as many patients as possible in a day to try to make their business profitable and, unfortunately, it makes for a rushed and often ineffective experience for their patients Prestige is filling the need for great quality medical care and for those able to take advantage of their services I think you will be pleasantly surprised! read more

So I went to the front desk and there was a young man there and I told him that had been here before and he said that had to pay $100 and shots would be extra and I explain that it was from work so the young lady next to them was asking what company I worked for and I kept saying it over and over and she said can you spell it for me I don't know why she didn't understand me so I had stepped away called my boss and I had the phone and I told a young man that my boss wanted to talk to him and he said nothing so there was another lady in the back that was trying to help and she said she was going to call the work to verify and so I just waited it took a while for me to go see the doctor and the doctor wasn't very patient and she was very rude and when I came out I had no paperwork that they gave me for my work and said that I had to get corn removal and the young man didn't know how to spell it and the lady at the front desk lady didn't either so I said it's OK forget it it was really a bad experience because of the last time I went there was different people and they were very nice and also the doctor was very nice too so I get it I guess things have changed their new management or something. read more
