When they give you their estimated costs, be sure to have them contact your insurance to see what insurance will pay vs what they are "estimating" the insurance to pay before proceeding. I've had issues with DOHO saying that insurance won't pay for a charge and in fact, they will pay a portion of it. DOHO wants their money upfront.....then you have to fight with them to have them put a credit on your account or get the money returned. Plan on waiting once you check in. Almost everytime I go, Dr. Wong is at least 1 hour late. Unacceptable as their is no consideration for the patients time.

Dr Klassen does not listen to her patients, is not thorough in her examinations, and is…read moredisrespectful. When visiting I understood the stare of my teeth but Dr Klassen gave me hope that we could fix the issues. After the 3rd visit, in the middle of prepping me for yet another root canal, she tells me dentures would probably be my best route. Only after thousands of dollars in did she volunteer this information. I had previously asked her to remove a tooth that cause severe pain and she said she thought she could save that to only be removed a few months later. When I confronted her about this she said she thought she could save it once again. Now I go to get a second opinion about dentures and not only does the denture specialist tell me that in good conscience she cannot remove my teeth for dentures but that a root canal crown that Dr Klassen put in had a huge cavity on it. One of the most recents. I just saw Dr Klassen a month ago and when I asked her about it she says she didn't see it. Not sure how she could miss it since I could see it with the naked eye. After about 1.5-2ish years of going here, they have 100% of the time been amazing in every aspect! They have worked with me to utilize my insurance as much as possible and then with flexible and reasonable payment plans for anything insurance didn't cover. I can't even count the number of times my child popped a wire or needed some sort of fix. All of the breaks were of no fault from the staff or the quality of work they did, but because she would eat things she wasn't supposed to or play rough and get injured in the face/mouth. Even so, whenever I called to schedule a repair, they were understanding, got us in quickly, and usually super last minute. I'm sure it's all a part of the package for her kind of ortho work, but I know a lot of places can(an do) use every opportunity to bill you a fee for "emergency repair", "replacepent parts", or literally whatever they felt like making up and tacking on to your bill. They never did, and I am more than grateful. Every one of their staff, from the front desk to the doctors are so kind and welcoming and never made me feel like a burden when I was overwhelmed and outnumbered by kids 3 to 1. They were understanding, and whenever possible, they would even help hold or play with my younger kids so I could give the doctor my full attention and really make sure I understood my daughter's care plan. I have to say, my absolute favorite thing about Dr. Maeson and his staff, is the respect they show not only me but my child. With most medical places, even though the child is the patient, they are almost completely ignored by the dentists, doctors, nurses, etc. The doctors typically adress the parents while the kid just sits there and gets talked about by the adults as if they aren't even there. This is one of my biggest pet peeves, and not one person here has ever done this to my child. She is the patient, and she is old enough to discuss her own body with a medical professional. There was always the perfect balance of respect and information sharing between myself as the parent and my child as the patient. I love them for that! I have referred so many here and I will continue to do so.
