After I finished in my questionnaire they asked if I wanted any refreshments. I was really impressed with this place and the whole establishment. The whole staff was very nice and accommodating. My hair stylish asked me what I wanted to do and I just told her to cut a lot off and give me something very low maintenance. She was so helpful and had a lot of insight on the cut and the styling afterwords to ensure my routine wouldn't be extended in the morning. I had even explained to this salon that I want a hairstylist similar to the Master colorist I had at Ulta. This salon lied and told me that they do have a master colorist and an experienced hairstylist. The hairstylist I got was a very young lady who only had 2 years of experience of being a hairstylist and who did not know what she was doing. Not only did she not wash my hair, properly (after putting the color on me), but then she also did not even colored all of my roots (as I had specified in my initial phone call with the salon). I had mentioned all of my concerns to this front desk lady, who was smirking and giggling silently. Nobody was concerned enough to talk to me as a paying customer and it was very obvious that they only care about getting money. The owner of the place did not talk to me, at all. However, I will say that I would expect my services to look professional and neat. I purchased a Living Social deal that had a facial wax, mani, micro-derm and chemical peel. I was more excited about the chemical peel and micro-derm because that can be a pricey service in a salon. For me, the wax and mani was just an added bonus. I called 2 weeks in advance to schedule my appointment. I didn't get a confirmation for my appointment, and I almost forgot about it. My student was very nice. The wax was good, the mani was horrible. I have bubbles and dings all over my nails. I could have done a better job and I'm not the best nail painter. She took her time and tried to be neat, but I still walked away with polish all around my nails. My mani probably took about an hour to complete, which I understand there is a learning curve. The chemical peel and micro-derm were just okay compared to other times I've received the same type of services. I asked what the protocol was since this was a school and she said that someone would check her work. Of the 4 services I received no one checked her work. I feel bad leaving not the most positive review for a beauty school let alone a student, however my overall issue was the lack of attention and checking after the services once complete.
