They are so thick, uneven, and even have sediment in the nails themselves!! The base coat was not a pale pink like should be in a PINK AND WHITE, it was just a basic base coat. At this point I realized I wasn't getting what I came in for. He then asked the thickness of French tip I like. I told him. He did it. He then was done with one hand and told me "I don't like it". HE REMOVED THE TIP HE DID AND PAINTED THE TIPS TO THE THICKNESS HE WANTED!!! Never have I had a nail tech disagree with what I want! I asked for a round, pink and white set. What I ended up with is the complete opposite and so sloppily done

So I moved to STL a couple years ago from out of state. I was crying as I left my stylist behind and slightly nervous to find someone who knows how to deal with my kind of hair. I literally called like 8-10 places asking if anyone is experienced and comfortable taking my on my wild hair. I have thick, long, natural curls down to my hips. I've had professional stylists deal with my hair only... each of them making extra time to manage my hair because it's just a lot and it takes color different and it's extra coarse in some areas etc. etc. So after weeks of calls having Salons tell me NO we don't have anyone comfortable taking on that type of head of hair, I found David Anthony Salon & Spa in Lake Saint Louis. I once again pleaded my case and the receptionist was the FIRST enthusiastic response... she said oh yes, we have someone who is extremely experienced in handling all hair types and she would be a great fit! I must say, the receptionist was a hair saver ... Jennifer Leeman is amazing! 1st off Jen is super sweet. She's so much fun, wicked smart and an amazing positive human just to converse with. Her disposition on customer service is exemplary. Her extensive knowledge of hair science is beyond me and all her students are so fortunate to have her as a teacher. It's truly a mad mans science to formulate the proper measurements to make your hair desires a reality and she nails it every single time. I trust her with my mane so much so that I basically ask her to do what she thinks works best and it does - always. She's honest and upfront with the realistic goals of how hair will turn out when you show a photo. She always makes sure to understand what I am looking for and let me know how it's gonna happen. It's obvious Jenn loves what she does and she's exceptional at it. Mom life can sometimes make it hard to feel your best but my hair is beyond cared for and I leave feeling beautiful every time. I recommend anyone looking for the best of the best to sit in Jenn's chair... You will leave looking and feeling like your best self... I've never been so dissatisfied with a salon in my life. For starters, it took the lady 3 hours to color my hair, and it turned out orange. Halfway through my appointment, the lady told me that I had too much hair and a partial (what I was scheduled for) was impossible & that I needed a full. I agreed to this because she said nothing about charging me for a full. They charged me $26 extra without my consent, and my mom had to spend her entire night on the phone with them just to get a refund. The manager, who was with another client, told my mom that I was informed of the price change and she knew for a fact because she was standing right there, which was a complete lie. She told my mom I was being dishonest in hopes of my mother believing her stereotypical comment due to my age. Eventually, they did give me the refund that I deserved but I would highly advise choosing a different salon. read more

I came into the salon and was automatically greeted by a friendly receptionist. It was my first time into the salon so I was given a tour by my new stylist, Kayla. She was very knowledgeable of Redken and Pureology's products as well as services provided by David Anthony Salon & Spa. All I needed was a simple trim and although it was a short service, Kayla made my first time experience great. Going into the salon looking a little rough and coming out with a new style which I never knew would look good on me changed my self-confindence on how I look at myself and how I look more presentable at my current job. Naomi is AMAZING!!! She has helped me with my prep and care to instillation and coloring of my extension process. She has been so understanding and I was a total nervous Nellie. She called all my fears and she is the best at what she does!! She has amazing attention to detail and doesn't EVER make you feel like you're being "needy" or "asking too many questions" like some salons do. I've gone from long to short twice, she maintained my color until I decided to go natural and is helping me through that process. Buy moisturizer for her hair and put it in every day in middle and ends doesn't need to be at the top because her hair dries out a lot. Sherry said the cut is much better and will help her hair grow healthier, it won't break as quick if we do all the above. Finally Sherry said to also said before she goes in the pool to spray it down with water to prevent chlorine damage because her hair is so blonde.
