I paid over $200 for highlight services and left with orange-brown, brassy hair that looked nothing like what I requested. The color was uneven and not properly toned by Aly. I returned to have it corrected, but the solution was to add low lights, which made little to no visible difference in correcting the brassiness. Instead, my hair felt noticeably drier and more damaged afterward. For the price point, I expected a high-level color service and professional corrective approach. After weeks of saying I was going to schedule an appointment, I finally did! It was my first time in the salon as a client and I'll definitely be going back. I got the pleasure of working with Lauren B. and she was so personable and did an amazing job. We talked about my business, how we both lived in NC at one point, and so many other things. She works so well with hair and has a very soft touch, unlike many others I've been to. Back in NC I always went to the cheapest place but decided to change that when I moved, and it was well worth it! Also, I didn't even realize they had more rooms in the back the last time I was there taking photos, or that a wash was included in the service! Definitely recommend! read more

Great services, color and cuts but a bit pricey at $225 for partial highlight and cut.

I had such a terrible experience. I asked for additional blonde highlights and to cover any grey hairs at the roots from my last appointment. I have naturally darker hair. Instead, I received super dark roots, a halo of orange highlights around my face and bangs that were this bright yellow terrible color with no definition. I noticed this issue before she even began blow drying my hair and was informed, "it's just in a transition phase". It was still terrible after the blow out. She said she would work on it at my next keratin treatment. I am a nice person so I still gave her a 20% tip thinking she would fix it at the next appointment. I then promptly walked out to the parking lot and cried. Then drove down the road to a friend's house where she applied toner - which was not offered to me at the salon. 30 more bucks later and a trip to Sally Beauty and it was better but still not right. As my next appointment came around, the stylist needed a different time so I just went ahead and rescheduled altogether to accommodate her for 2 weeks later than originally expected. So two more weeks of orange halo and puke blonde bangs. I then responded after hours via text the night before my appointment finally arrived that I may have a transportation issue the next day and may not make it. However, we were able to get our vehicle fixed pronto and i left a voicemail stating I could still come. They only read my text at 0730 and never listened to any of their other voicemails for their customer mailbox before rearranging other people into my time slot. What location doesn't listen to voicemails first thing in the AM before rearranging appointments? In addition, I left all this info after hours so it is not like they already called people the day before and I was too late to let them know I could come. So....I am out a cost of a total of over $300 between cost for the original appointment, the tip, and then buying toner to fix my own hair, plus toner shampoo. And STILL have tragic hair. My first appointment, I went for a super simple haircut. Explained to my stylist that I want to cut it short and add some layers. We also discussed at my next appointment how I wanted to add some highlights to my hair and dye my eyebrows darker. Got my haircut and scheduled my next appointment for another haircut, highlights, and getting my brows dyed for 8 WEEKS OUT. When I went home to check out my haircut (like everyone does) I ended up having to cutting my hair because there were several pieces longer than the rest of my hair. Fast forward 8 weeks later my appointment is at 6 pm for highlights, eyebrows, and haircut. The salon calls at 4:35 and asks if I can come at 5 pm so they can have enough time to get all the services I want done. I said there's no possible way for me to find childcare within 30 minutes and such short notice. So I kept my 6 pm appointment. I arrive for my appointment and they took off my eyebrow service because there's not enough time. My stylist gets started on my highlights. Throughout the whole appointment there were constant whispers behind my back how they don't have enough time for me. Cool whatever. Throughout the entire process of my highlights my stylist keeps telling me how it's getting pretty light and I won't need toner. Comes time to wash my hair and my stylist all the sudden decides I need toner. Ok I guess? I get done with the toner and my stylist says "Actually you don't need a haircut your hair is pretty healthy" Ok? I was more so looking for layers and a trim so my hair can grow some more. I think that was just their excuse of not having enough time for me. By this point I just wanted to leave and be done. My stylist dried my hair and asked what I thought. It looked EXACTLY THE F'ING SAME! But I'm just in that mood where I'm just done. Go to check out it and was $116 for full highlights, $22 for "per gram" color (their site says you pay a per gram color fee based on length of hair and thickness of hair. I'm not sure the going rate but my hair is short and thin?) and then $30 for toner (which the entire time my stylist said she didn't even think I needed). Everyone I've talked too (who regularly gets color in their own hair) have said they NEVER pay for toner and it's included with their service. I think it's such bullshit that I had this appointment and all the services I wanted scheduled for 8 weeks, and day of they don't have time for 2/3 services I wanted. Then for them to act like I was the inconvenience for not showing up earlier with just a thirty minute notice. Walked out paying all that money for my hair to look the EXACT same. F that. read more

Stopped in to have my roots touched up after driving passed this cute salon several times. I just moved to the area and this location is great on Hwy K. Got in on a Friday night which is incredible in itself. Had Olivia, and she was great! Took the time to understand what I wanted and was easy to talk to. Prices are a bit higher than I would like (80+ for a partial highlight), but the salon is super nice and the people are professional. What I was most impressed by was 4 days after my service, Olivia gave me a call to see if I was happy with my service. I let her know it was a bit brassier than I would like and she offered to have me come in to do a few more highlights and touch it up. Such great customer service!! Service is everything to me, so I really appreciate it and makes me 100% more comfortable with the price point knowing they will take care of me after my service as well. read more

I got my hair color and cut from here. It's clean and the workers are professional. But after I got my hair color my hair lost its shine and became extremely dry. I told them in advance that I would not get it colored if it gets dry but they assured me they would use good color and put gloss after the color and so it will not get dry. They washed my hair last time and even after gloss, my hair looked lifeless. They did not even put a serum or styled my hair. Just blow dried it. All in all I think they money I paid was not worth it. I wish they would have told me that it would get so dry, I would have never got it colored. read more

I explained that I did not get off work until that time I was just down the street, the lady said the shop closes at 6 I would need to be there at 5. My appointment time was for 530. I found Belleza salon on the knot. I reached out to them directly through the knot and didn't get a reply. I wasn't too concerned with this as it's happened with other vendors before. I went directly onto Belleza's website and filled out their form twice for hair and makeup services. After a couple of weeks passes by, I emailed them directly on their email address. 4 or 5 days pass and I don't hear anything. I call them on a Sunday and I knew they were closed, but left them a voicemail. Monday evening comes and I didn't get a call back. I call them on Monday evening and the bridal person is in a meeting, but I was told she will be back in 30 minutes or so and I left my name and number with the receptionist. Around 2 hours later, I still haven't received a call back. So I figured the message didn't get passed to her and decided to call again. I told the bridal person that I've been trying to get ahold of them for a few weeks and I have filled out the forms multiple times and even emailed them. She apologized and said my date was available and would book me even though she didn't ask for a deposit. I thought it was odd that she would block my date just like that. She told me she would send me an email and it's been two days now and I haven't heard anything back. The only reason I stuck around for this long was because the location was really close to our hotel. Other places say they have great reviews, but I'm having a hard time believing them. The lack of structure and communication is disappointing and I will take my business elsewhere. read more

The salon does a lot of charity work and it is obvious they are doing something right with all of the awards they've earned! I would recommend anyone to schedule an appointment at Belleza! I'm from Hawaii and it took me months to find a good lash technician. Tiffany is adorable, as soon as I waked in she introduced herself and gave me a big hug, saying it's good to finally meet you!!! I had canceled my first appointment due to food poisoning. Her energy is radiating with positivity. It's good to have a positive person to work with. Even through my allergies she stuck it out. My lashes were damaged due to previous bad extensions adding and removal, including multiple strip lash injuries. She's got me back on track, feeling like myself again. The cost is very reasonable. In my desperation to get my hair cut recently I made the mistake of calling up Belleza Salon and scheduling a last minute appointment when I got off work. You see, I drive by this place every morning and night, to and from work and due to the glitzy front I figured how bad could this place be?! Well, I certainly found out. I called and was directly slated to get things going. When I showed up a few minutes later I was immediately apprehensive due to the clutter that one encounters walking in to this joint. As I was led back to my "stylists" station we had to tiptoe through the maze of hair cutters, chairs and cords. Finally seated, I tried to explain what I wanted done with my hair... and my fate was sealed. You see, this is why I want to pay good money to go to a salon. I'm not eloquent. I do not know how I want my hair done, really. I want to sit there, explain what I like and I want you to make me look good. I did not receive that kind of treatment. As I sat there, stunned, watching this banshee attack my head with shears; I wondered why I continued to let this happen. I guess after a certain point there was no going back. Never in my life has any stylist solely cut my hair with shears... I suppose there is a first time for everything... She is obviously a grossly under skilled stylist as she questioned me how my last stylist tackled my cowlicks. News flash lady! I DON'T KNOW! THATS WHY I GO TO A F'N STYLIST! When the massacre was over, I got a shampoo and some styling which seemed to cover up the slaughter of my dome. I shelled out $30 and bounced. Every one I've spoken with in O'Fallon who has been here has some sort of horror story... One lady who works for me had both her eyebrows waxed off her face! Well if you want to be lied to about how they have Curl Experts and Cut Experts this the place to go. No one here knows what curls look like or what the sequence of a successful perm is. ....Don't tell them they are at fault at all.. True narcissistic spoiled brats are all you will find there. So A perm cost more once you get there then what they broadcast on their website. Call them the BALD Experts. Then what happens is they fight you tooth and nail to get it fixed or just block your number... I would definitely set up some lawyer consultation and have him on speed dial. Oh and make sure you check the Missouri Board of Cosmetics to make sure their so called best of the best have their license.... read more

While my stylist is off on maternity leave, I went in for a cut and MUCH needed color and highlights. I was booked with Lauren, who said she's new to this salon. I could not be happier with the service she provided. With my thick curly hair, most highlights tend to lighten my hair overall and don't really show up as highlights. I mentioned that I'd like them to be a little more bold and that's exactly what I got. They look great! So this was my second time going to Belleza. The first time I got exactly what I asked for plus more because WOW I was so happy with how my hair turned out. (I had gone blonde) this second time I wanted to return to my natural color and my stylist Lauren matched me PERFECTLY!! I love this salon. The people, the professionalism, the atmosphere... it's just great. Very classy, put together and just fun. It was my first time at the salon with stylist Lauren. She was extremely nice, easy to talk to, highly professional and very well trained. We had a little hiccup at my first visit when i didn't get exactly what I wanted but as I left, the receptionist really wanted to make sure I was satisfied! She reassured me that if there was anything, i should come back to have them fix it. So I did... I was scared at first to confront them but they were surprisingly really understanding of the situation and made sure that I could get my hair fixed as soon as possible with another stylist! Robyn (the owner I guess) told me that she wanted me to LOVE my hair. The second time the stylist asked a lot of questions and did a really good job at no charge! They put a lot of good products in my hair that made it smell good for days. I'm really glad I went back and told them the problem instead of staying home with that frustration. I have never in my life had a better hair color. Robyn is truly a hair genius. I have never reviewed anything before, but I'm so thrilled with my haircut and color I had to post my experience. Most salons usually try to pressure you into buying their products. There was none of that. I did end up buying a protein spray though cause it smelled soooo good and I'd never even heard of a protein spray before. The salon is incredibly clean and beautiful. The salon is attractive and they have make up and accessories for sale in addition to hair products. I was offered coffee and water when I arrived. I popped in here one day after work to get my hair cut before my wedding. I had them cut a few inches off my very long hair. I read the other review and wanted to comment: First, the Salon was not cluttered when I went in. In fact, everything looked pretty nice and clean. Secondly, my stylist was efficient and gave me a good haircut. I also had a shampoo and blow dry. I left feeling fine and content. I think in this case, the other reviewer just had a horrible stylist. And that will affect your opinion, of course. read more
