It is easy to find good teachers in SAISD. But she was great I'd say she was the best Arnold has had. We will miss you and it was a privilege to have our kids in your class. Arnold is a great school and it always has the parents involved. You can tell once you drop off your child. The principal or the VP are always at the front door to great children. It teaches them to learn to separate from parents and it's time to learn. These kids are treated great and they learn respect.

He went to the summer school in 2019 and frankly learned more that summer than he did in the entire year before. He feels accepted, and acknowledged, and the administrators, teachers and staff do an incredible job promoting children that learn differently. This was a life changer. I went from a child that cried to go to school, to a child that adores his school, and can't wait to go. In the words of my son, "mommy, Winston isn't is my school,it's my family" So grateful!

This school was not equipped for online learning nor did the teachers care to make the changes to pay any attention to those students learning online. If I could give no stars I sure would. From the beginning this school has been an issue. From the fact that they test your student at the beginning of the school year after being out for summer and expecting them to be where they were the previous year. Just so they can then separate your student from their grade level and mix them with lower class students. That I find demoralizing to the student and telling them YES you are dumb. When in fact all it is is that "you learn different". Any other school can do a way better job then this school. This is just an over priced school for your child to not grow. No wonder they feel dumb because the school is sticking them with the lower grade level and it's seen. They have no academic plan for your students growth because "every student is different" in other words they will not make that personal plan to help your child grow. If your child is excelling out of the class they're in the school will not say anything. My daughter was so bored in her classes and not challenged enough. I spoke up to the school and they moved her to a higher level class and what would you know she continued to excel in her studies. Your child has a better chance at a public school and getting better help than here at Winston. Your child will not grow at a progressive rate as you will expect to happen. The athletics department is a joke as well so I hope your child is not an athlete. All 3 years that my daughter had to attend here not once did the Volleyball team nor basketball team win a game. The AD Mr. Borth just goes through the motions of what's needed but is also a very rude person. His wife Mrs. Borth told my child along with a group of other girls to get it together because they were upset and she had a tour to give in a few minutes. Yes this happed today 05/19/2022 so again this is not the school you want your child to go too. It's not worth the college tuition they charge along with everything thing else they will charge you. Find you a school that will benefit your child's educational growth. If you can tough it out IDEA is a real good structural school. Even specific private schools around the area. Do your research and don't fall for all the smiles. Ask questions, know who's certified to teach because as you know private school teachers don't have to be certified.

During my time there, I was falsely accused of sexual harassment by two older male employees. One incident involved a white male coworker who, on a school bus equipped with cameras, grabbed my hand and placed it on his private area. Despite there being potential camera evidence to support the truth, I was immediately treated as the aggressor. Instead of being heard or given the benefit of the doubt, I was questioned harshly by HR and painted as a "lustful Black woman," while the men involved faced no real scrutiny. A second false accusation soon followed from another male employee, as if my character was already tarnished in their eyes. What hurt the most was the lack of fair investigation--no one took my side of the story seriously. I was left feeling humiliated, targeted, and unsupported. I share this not for pity, but to: * Bring awareness to how racial and gender biases can shape workplace investigations. * Encourage others who have been falsely accused to know they are not alone. * Call on institutions like Northside ISD to do better in protecting ALL employees and ensuring proper investigation before judgment. No one should have to carry the shame of false accusations without their voice being heard.

However, once in middle school, things drastically changed. If you have a perfect, we'll-behaved child that is organized, this school is perfect. However, the middle school teachers have a sense of entitlement and are not willing to work with parents. They never call parents to discuss anything positive about their child. They are very punitive and expect parents to not question anything. Teachers are supported by not only the principal, but the "so called" priest. We had a teacher refuse to meet with us about my child's misconduct and she was supported be the principal AND the "so called" priest". Wish I could go more into details because there is so much to say. We will finish out my son's 7th & 8th grade years not BECAUSE of the school, teachers, admin, or "so called" priest, but inspite of them.

I should know, I graduated from Castle Hills in 1992 and still have the same best friends from those days. It hasn't been a treat listening to construction start at 7am every morning. However the end result will be well worth it. There will be an athletics field and a two story schoolhouse. As a poorer, slightly run down part of town, it nice to see money being spent in good ways. The young children in this area deserve a nice elementary school to go to.

Our son is thriving under the care of Ms. Roasa, a loving, structured, and incredibly responsive teacher who goes above and beyond to communicate with parents and challenge every student to reach their full potential. Her dedication to both academic and personal growth is inspiring. The entire school reflects this same level of excellence. The administrators are highly qualified, supportive, and effective in their roles. There is a clear structure across the campus that emphasizes discipline and respect--lessons that may be tough for young children at first, but are handled with such care and consistency by the staff that they become second nature over time. Both students and parents are held to high standards, which is something I find incredibly refreshing in today's educational landscape. Compared to our experience in a traditional public school district, the difference has been night and day. At previous schools, we often saw a lack of discipline and respect, and far too quickly, some students were labeled or given diagnoses to explain behavior rather than working to understand and improve the root cause. At Founders, it's clear that they invest in every child's growth in a meaningful way. Since transitioning to Founders, we've seen remarkable changes in our son--improved grades, better self-control, increased responsibility, and a newfound sense of discipline.
