They recently moved from Madison Avenue to E. Countyline Rd, in Greenwood located conveniently across the street from the new Costco. They are part of the Franciscan Physician Group. Note their new name is now Madison Family Medicine (previous name was Madison Avenue Family Practice). I paid a recent wellness visit to my primary care physician, Dr. Shelley Stiner, DO, who practices at this facility. Upon arriving at their beautiful new location, I found the facility to have a large waiting area with plenty of seating, magazines and flat screen TVs to enjoy while waiting for my appointment. The staff has always been very friendly from the front desk to the nursing assistants. Dr. Stiner always listens carefully to my concerns and offers healthy alternatives to prescriptions where possible. She is very pleasant and professional. I have always had short wait times on all of my visits and scheduling for appointments or a referral has been very easy when working with their office staff. Lastly, I love their "My Chart", web portal....you can schedule appointments see your past visits, Billings, request a prescription refill and various other things related to your healthcare experiences. They have an excellent response time to their emails that have been submitted to this portal. After each visit I receive an emailed survey of my most recent visit to complete if I choose to do so. I have always seen Dr. Stiner, but I believe they have at least one nurse practitioner and possibly more and other doctors available. For this large of facility I'm sure they have to have other physicians, but I don't have that information. Actually as I was walking out the door I saw sign for a new physician. (See photo attached) If you are ever in need of a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, I highly recommend giving Dr. Stiner a try if she is accepting new patients. I have been with her for approximately 1 1/2 years due to my doctor retiring and wanting to try a DO for my healthcare needs. Due to her high demand, I had to wait initially about six months until she was able to accept a new patient. (I had to keep calling every so often to see if they were accepting new patients). I hit it lucky I guess and on one call was told she was taking on new patients. At this point in time, I'm very happy with their services and the new location of this practice. Review #28 08/11/16

Miss Lisa was actually running the front aspect of the office while her husband attends the patients. I highly recommend Oliver Healthcare because they are the golden couple. I cannot say enough positive things about my experiences with Beech Grove Family Physicians. I…read morehate going to the doctor, but at least the experience is pleasant. The office is clean, and the front office staff, nurses, and medical assistants are organized, professional, and friendly. I could not ask for a better physician than Dr. Paarlberg. I have noticed that many doctors couldn't care less about their patients. Dr. Paarlberg is different. He listens, he spends time with his patients, and does his research. He is very personable and extremely intelligent. Dr. Paarlberg is also young, which means that he is accepting new patients and will be sticking around for a while. I have no interest in seeing any other family doctor. He's as good as it gets. As a side note, I also know Dr. Beardsley and Dr. Enright to be excellent physicians. They also care about their patients, and are proven professionals (and award-winning!). Although they are not accepting new patients (at least to my knowledge), it would be hard to mention Beech Grove Family Physicians without giving them credit.

I've ran through all of the tests years ago, CT Scan, MRI, etc, no cause found but was prescribed Tramadol and it helps me out. The Dr. decided that I needed cut way back on the Tramadol and quit writing my prescription. They also let my prescriptions for my blood pressure meds run out. After a couple of days of trying to get them filled, I went into the office to speak to a human instead of their automated line (you never a call back so you can tell if something is being done or not). I told the receptionist (the office wasn't that busy) that my head was pounding and my blood pressure was now 190/90 and she let me know that they've said that they require 24-48 hours notice to refill prescriptions (I had been trying for 2 days!). There was no concern, just a you'll have to wait untill we feel like it attitude. I walked out without my presciptions being refilled and cancelled my appointment for the next day. I went back online, found a highly rated Dr. and called. They weren't accepting new patients but after I told them my story, they had GREAT concern, called in my prescriptions and accepted me as a new patient. Their office was very busy but they actually took care of my health problems immediately! I'd probably have a stroke by now if I waited for this office to do something. My hope is that they read this and figure out that they'd better do a little better in taking care of folks. This was ridiculous!

I encountered Dr. Vallabhaneni during my recent hospitalization at St. Francis Hospital, part of…read morethe Franciscan Health System. Dr. Vallabhaneni, who often goes by the abbreviated "Dr. V," was part of my inpatient team of doctors treating a variety of concerns and served as my internal medicine doctor during the majority of my stay until it changed in the last 3-4 days - I believe she was headed on vacation and, as such, my last few days were actually under a different physician. Dr. V is part of the practice of Indiana Internal Medicine Consultants, a Greenwood-based practice that seems to primarily work through Franciscan. I have not dealt with them in terms of outpatient and my entire experience with Dr. V was during my inpatient stay. You could tell that Dr. V has the respect of the staff of the unit where I was treated, which was 4 South in the Cardiac Center. Staff members were quick to compliment both her knowledge and bedside manner. They correctly predicted that I would appreciate her as I am big on customer service and communication, both areas in which Dr. V would prove to excel. Dr. V visited my unit daily - most often in the mid-to-late morning hours. She was serious, yet always smiled and I was constantly impressed with her willingness to take the time to explain concerns, test results, diagnostic concerns, and any new or unresolved issues. She didn't just tell you things, but she ensured that you actually understood what she was telling you and what it meant for you and your care. She was, by far, the most communicative of the physicians who worked on my case and she had a way of communicating that made me feel like she was listening to me and that I was in good hands with her. I also appreciated that she had a very even-keeled demeanor. She would talk about serious issues, but she didn't do so in a way that panicked you. You took her seriously, but she made you feel safe in her care. I was also impressed that she was aware of my financial concerns. While I'm insured, as a person with a disability I have in the past experienced severe financial distress because of my health and she understood this and made sure to always let me know that the team was making sure that anything ordered was actually approved by insurance. I didn't have to ask her about these concerns - she understood they were there and addressed them upfront. Again, she worked very naturally to keep me calm and engaged in my recovery from a serious illness. I was disappointed when Dr. V left my case as it felt like the quality of my internal medicine care did drop and I didn't get the quality level of communication from the replacement physician. Dr. V is simply an absolute gem - she's incredibly knowledgeable and knows how to communicate that knowledge in a way that is simple, user-friendly, and accessible. She's compassionate, personable, and very interactive. She takes the time needed to listen, understand concerns, and explain her own concerns. While I don't live near Greenwood, she's definitely a doctor I would return to again and I really appreciated her compassionate, knowledgeable care as I dealt with serious health issues. She provided quality care in a way that made me feel safer and less anxious about the entire ordeal.

Made an appointment to get established with a primary care physician, and to get some answers on…read moresome symptoms I was having. It was really simple to make an appointment over the phone, and I got in within a matter of days. For being a new patient, I thought that was unheard of. The building is very modern and clean, and the office is ran efficiently. I didn't have to wait very long before I was called back to the exam room. I saw Stacia Groover-Maltby, who was very thorough and friendly, and did a great job of answering any questions I had. I ended up having blood drawn, which was conveniently done in the lab in the same building. I was told I would be called with results, but after a week of waiting, I hadn't heard anything yet. I'm sure this is just an oversight, but I am able to see test results on the MyChart website, so I know they are probably getting through their call list. I would recommend this doctor's office, as they have many providers in different fields of expertise.
