Then we realized that we had hiked up to Bench Lakes and saw the trails they rode on with lots of foot traffic and said to ourselves, we dont to deal with that. So we checked out Wild West. WE HAD A BLAST. Didn't see a single person other than our guide Shelby. She is so sweet and kind. Treats her customers and animals like family. She and her husband and wonderful and you can rest assured you will enjoy your time there. It is beautiful beyond words too. Have fun.

The drive to the ranch was pretty cool - tucked away from HWY 75 - immaculate grounds/stables/corrals with the Salmon River directly behind. Matthew gave us a a refresher and was attentive and throughout the 1.5 hour ride up to the ridge where we had a nice lunch. The ride back provided expansive views. Plenty of photo ops up, on the ridge and back. Plus, Matthew somehow managed to take 50+ photos that he later texted to us. Shelby and Matthew manage a professional and well run outfit.

I get my exercise in hiking and biking during the summer, but needed to find a way to get a good sweat now that I've retired from skiing (if you can call what I did skiing). I was excited to see they had a treadmill/circuit training type of class called the mill. I did the power mill class 4 times during my week in Sun Valley and loved it so much. All 3 instructors I took with (Sophie, Maggie and Josie) were challenging and energetic. It was a good combo of running and weight lifting - I hated it during the workout, but felt so good when I left. Sophie's class was probably the most challenging of the 3 and she was also super friendly and welcoming to a newbie like me. Her Sunday morning class was also the smallest with only 3 of us so spent a lot of time correcting our form as well. I think you can't go wrong with any of the classes here and if you love to run they have a run mill class that's all on the tread. Excited I found this amazing workout for my frequent trips to Sun Valley. It seems popular among the locals, but tourists should try it too. And the first class was only $15 on mind body!

My pilot was Anna, who was awesome! They watched the wind closely to make sure it was safe and I would get a good ride. I felt safe throughout the entire process which eased my nerves. Of course I added on the pictures and Anna even had a little adaptor so I could open the files from the memory card onto my iPhone so that I could have a few before I got home. I'm on a road trip and it would be a good while before I could see what they pictures were like. This was a nice added little touch. I'd definitely recommend Fly Sun Valley to my friends and would fly again if I come back to Sun Valley.

We felt like valued clients throughout our entire interaction. The video package, an add-on, is a must-have. If you can get Nathan as your "pilot," he is gentle and self-deprecating (although he is a very accomplished daredevil) and will not make you feel like an amateur in the least. He let us "fly" a bit on our own, which was amazing. A couple of tips: Dress warmly in clothing that is wind resistant. Tip your "pilot" a little extra if you enjoy the experience, as this is seasonal work. Oh, and get the video package!
