Got on the bike and my friends laughed and said a 6 foot tall woman should not have been fitted w a small size bike. Luckily my daughter is 5' 6" so she could ride it and I just jacked her seat up to the max. When I returned the bike and told the guy that I couldn't use the bike because it was so small he said "oh" and walked away.

We grabbed a couple nice, clean helmets and headed out on our journey to explore beautiful Sun Valley. 20 minutes in, my chain broke. I called the shop and they quickly went into action. The manager, Dave drove out immediately with a replacement bike. As it turned out, that bike had a problem with the seat. Without hesitation, he apologized and told us they would refund us fully. In addition, he suggested we return to the shop, get new equipment and still enjoy our day on the bikes. When we made it back to the shop, the original bike was finishing up repairs. The mechanic took it for a test ride and we were off, once again, on our journey. This is EXACTLY, the type of customer service we all wish for! I'm now a huge fan of this business and can't wait to return to Sun Valley. Thanks to Dave and all his team at the shop. A++!

In fairness the mountain hadn't had much fresh snow recently and it would probably have been better with some more snowfall. The terrain wasn't the most interesting though. The bowls off the top of Bald Mountain were cool and I appreciated that a lot of the easier groomers had mogul runs off to the side of them. As with many big name ski resorts in the US the lift ticket prices here are extremely expensive. You do get nice facilities though. The lodges are all very pleasant and I think that Sun Valley has the nicest ski resort bathrooms I've seen. The lifts are also well laid out for lapping the good terrain. As others have noted there's no real ski-in/ski-out lodging here. The town does have a free bus service but they don't run very frequently.

Instead of selling me a new head set, the owner suggested re-tappining it. One mechanic stopped what he was doing and dug out his tap set and cleaned it up perfectly. The threads were great but the bolt holding it in was too short...both mechanics started tearing the shop apart looking for the longer bolts that fit it. They find the package of extra bolts and just give it to me. This would have been great service if I'd bought my bike there, but its incredible service considering I'm just a random guy coming thru town who can't ride his bike until I get it fixed. Thanks so much guys, I will recommend you to anyone looking for a shop in Ketchum!

Love the exterior, a beautiful entry way with lavender and gorgeous plants, and their you enter into an outstanding store with a superb layout, along with just about anything you would like in outdoor apparel and gear. It really rocks. The highlight is the quality of the customer service, as their staff is friendly, experienced, and so knowledgeable. They interact so well, and aren't pushy like so many stores. He talked to us and Was patient with us as we decided to come back to ride the next day as we had passed our window of time that day. The outedoor ice rink near the pool are luxurious. A racquet center with tennis & pickleball courts was busy. Bike rentals & horseback riding were popular. There are many dining & shopping options at various price points, however nothing here is a bargain. I did find beautiful unique gifts in the shops. The mountaintop dining options are closed for the season. I invested in tubeless tires last summer at the recommendation of a bike shop. They are awesome but…read morenot staying inflated. I contacted Global Mobile and received an immediate response. He explained that the tires still require regular maintenance. He not only put sealant in the tires he explained the entire process while he was doing it and not in a mansplaining manner. He also showed me how to change my tire should I get a flat, noticed my brakes were rubbing, explained that i was putting too much air in my tires and gave my bike a thorough look over. I rode 20 miles that day. Nothing against bike shops but the personalized service I received was genuinely five stars and Global Mobile will be my go to for all my bikes from this point forward. I should add all of this took less than 30 minutes and I was on my way.
