Really more like 4.5 stars…read more Holy CAO - this place serves delicious food with inventive and entertaining cocktails, and vibes to keep you grooving in your seats as you eat. Located in the marina with both indoor and patio seating, you'll have a nice view of the water and a breeze in the evenings. My party spent 4 hours dining here for dinner; splitting a few dishes and mostly just talking with each other, the staff, and vibing to the DJ's tunes. At times the music was a little loud and I could see this deterring families with young children from sitting outside. They also push the alcohol sale here hard. As with most restaurants, I'm sure this is a big money maker for them (nothing is cheap here) but we had a person in our party who does not drink alcohol and the push was a little too pushy, even after we asked that they stop asking. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and they brought a cupcake at the end of our meal. Unfortunately, it was frozen solid in the center. Every entree and appetizer selection was excellent. I highly recommend the quesabirria and garlic shrimp! We're from the California Bay Area and the pricing here was like going out at home. It's expensive and caters to the tourist, so beware. You can also hookah here!

We were celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary and wanted a place that was fancy, non touristy and not bank breaking and zeroed down on this place. ++ The complimentary chips and salsa was delicious. I landed up getting another order of the chips ++ Cocktails. Not only were they delicious, but the showmanship was the coup de grace ++ The New York Aguachile was something else. The server cut the steak and seared it in front of us and applied all the sauces (more like vinegars), onions and guacamole ++ Try the rib eye gaoneras and the Cao Tacos. You definitely won't be disappointed We were so full, that we didn't have any space for dessert. I may have exaggerated on the 5+, but I think that's subjective and relative to competition. Among the multiple places in Cancun, this one definitely stands out.

Dinner in the cancun strip…read more We decided to pick Porfirio's for the evening from all of the restaurants outside of the all inclusive resorts. I took some notes and this is what I thought of the dishes. Xoajacan Imoladas - The mole is perfection. The flautas, superb. Everything in this plate is a symphony of what I would expect from Xoajaca. 9.5/10 Barbacoa Bonemarrow - Barcacoa is on point. The Marrow is Sublime. Together with the accompaniments is superb. I dream of Marrow everyday. This is a 10/10 Yellow fin Tosatadas - Superb!!! One of the best tostadas I have ever had. The microgreens, the sauce and the square Tostada works well all together. 8.8/10 Salmon - Cooked perfectly. The corn is a great accompaniment. The fish is impeccably seasoned. This dish is heaven sent with a 9.8/10 Grilled Octopus - Grilled perfectly, I can tell by the texture. The mash is superb, they used margarine instead of butter and I absolutely love the contrast from the traditional mash. 9.8/10 Mexican Rice - Its pretty good. It does have a nice seafoodish finish. The pepper was actually spicy. Nice and pleasant rice dish. 8/10 Charred Avocado Salad - Grilled avocado is a bit of a wash. It did make it look good on the plate. The dressing is a little weak. Needs a little more zip, some citrus or vinegar would give this salad some justice. Its a little uninspired 7/10 Service is impeccable and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely.

Anyway: the food, presentation of the dishes itself, and the overall vibe: 4/5. My favorite dish was definitely the steak. The bone marrow is better off being plain without all the stuff they put on top. The steak itself was perfectly cooked & seasoned. I should've took more pictures of the food but whatever- the mango tuna thing with avocado was delicious. Very mango forward. Great alongside some salsa as well. The octopus: OK enough, slightly overcooked. Chewy. Chicharron guac was yum. Our server was so sweet in the beginning but had an attitude after getting tipped 25% LOL other than that, great experience :)

It is one of my favorite restaurants in the hotel zone and some the best Italian I have eaten. We had a group of 10 and were seated in a private room. The service is top notch. Everyone is so helpful and kind. They have an extensive wine list that is sure to satisfy any craving. Before dinner, they bring bread with cheese and spicy onions and peppers that is delicious. My personal favorite meal is the green hats, but I really don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything they serve is the perfect balance of flavors. Everyone in our group loves their meal which is why this place continues to be a staple for us year after year. I look forward to coming back to Cancun just to eat at the restaurant. Our time and money is always well spent here and we have always had a wonderful time and incredible food. We do not do all inclusive, but even if you do, I would still recommend making a stop here.

Once we stepped onto the deck overlooking the lagoon, the whole experience elevated even further. The scenery was stunning, soft lights reflecting off the water, a gentle breeze, and live music drifting through the air like the perfect soundtrack to an already unforgettable night. Then came the food, each dish was its own little masterpiece. The bread service alone set the tone: warm, golden rolls with just the right touch off salt. The wedge salad followed. It was crisp, cold, and generously dressed, with smoky bacon and bright tomatoes adding all the right contrasts. The dry-aged steak was the star of the table, cooked perfectly with that deep, rich flavor only dry-aging can create. The roasted peppers and silky sauce on the side made every bite feel intentional. The octopus was another standout, tender, beautifully charred, and plated with a vibrant puree that balanced the dish with a touch of sweetness. One of the best plates we had. The table got more entrees since there were 8 of us but didn't get pictures. Sea brass was another favorite. Even the lobster soup arrived with flair: a velvety bowl paired with a seafood-topped toast that brought texture and richness together in one elegant bite. The beef tartare with fries was classic and fresh, refined without losing its fun. Dessert turned into a full performance. The liquid-nitrogen ice cream came with swirling clouds of cold vapor, dramatic and delicious. The birthday cake arrived crowned with berries and a sparkling candle that lit up the whole table. And just when we thought the night couldn't get any more whimsical, out came the towering blue cotton candy, playful, over-the-top, and impossible not to smile at. Harry's doesn't just serve dinner. It creates an experience, one where the service, the scenery, the atmosphere, and the food all work together to make you feel celebrated. Our night felt luxurious, thoughtful, and truly unforgettable for my husband's 50th birthday! Well done Harry's!

We came to Harry's a couple years back when we visited Cancun and I am celiac and I had a lovely dinner with my partner. On this visit, we were seated at a beautiful table and we ordered drinks. Our waiter, a bald headed young man 30s, refused to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate me. I am celiac not vegan. I was told there was nothing I could eat except steak and he proceeded to show us the entire steak selection. Truthfully I was feeling slightly unwell from not eating the entire day. I felt like fish, he said I can give you dry fish no sauce on top. He suggested maybe we just do appetizers. We had a 8 pm dinner reservation, what the hell would I want to order appetizers and call it day? This waiter was chit chatting with his maitre'd and other wait staff and I felt terribly uncomfortable that i was told I couldn't eat anything from the men, we we all know was ridiculous and not true. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. I made a reservation for Porfirios next door bc I could see they had some gluten free options. Harry's used to be accommodating but no longer. We will not come to Harry's again for food. Not only this, the waiter was trying to once again embarrass us by advising us that we could walk to Porfirios, next door to the restaurant from the back patio. We got up and began walking towards the patio and suddenly I realized he was totally making a fool of us, why would we go from the back if we have to check in with the hostess stand in the front of the restaurant? We walked straight out of Harry's from front door. Never again. So disrespectful and such a rude experience. Not only this, Harry's canceled/ removed our open table reservation (even though we fulfilled it and paid for our drinks and still tipped generously), so I cannot even leave a review and send a private message to the restaurant. Pathetic customer service.

The starter was very flavorful as the tuna was bathed in soy and seated on some seaweed salad and sprinkled with jalapino slices. The main courses were also good. Portions were generous and satisfying. - Skirt steak: pre-marinated, certified Angus beef grilled to medium-well, served with buttery mashed potatoes. Grilled to perfection with excellent quality. - Colossal Mayan octopus: 330 grams of fresh octopus grilled in chimichurri, served with mashed potatoes and fried parsley.
