Do not waste your time here. These people schedule an appointment make you wait weeks then cancel it suddenly. They won't call you back even after you leave them two voicemails. Won't give a reason to why they had to reschedule or provide an update. They have a stupid AI system you can't get through. I have called multiple times but have yet to talk to an actual person. I had a skin issue needing remedy but was deemed "cosmetic", and because I have Kaiser, they wanted to send me to a location a couple hours from home. Since I was going to be self-pay, I sought another office, heard good things about Lux, and made an appointment. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Totally understanding and respectful of my issue and concerns. The process was quick and easy from start to finish. They have an app, which is nice so you can check messages and appointments. The prices were also much less than the Kaiser prices. I highly recommend Lux! read more

Dont go here. I was seen by Dr Rachel Wood. She told me there wasnt anything i can do about the burn that happened after the prescriptions she prescribed to me. They dont answer their phone, when you need help. My face is still burnt and im in pain. But when I told her nobody answered the phones & i didnt know how to help the burn on my face she got rude with me. All i wanted was to get help for my acne but instead i got an extremely young, unprofessional, rude Dermatologist. MD referred me to this facility almost 30 days ago, MD office even called and confirmed referral was received but I had yet to receive a call to schedule. I had heard from a few other current patients how bad and unorganized the service is but was willing to give it a try. It is almost impossible to get in contact with anyone at this location, I have left messages and requested call backs with zero response. It was not until I contacted my doctor's office that someone called, they had no idea what the status of my referral even was. After calling back-to-back multiple times I finally spoke with someone, advised I am not interested in scheduling, and I have made an appointment elsewhere. The ladies answering the phone are rude and lacking customer service skills. Save yourself the hassle, stress and frustration and ask to be referred elsewhere. read more

Trevor, the PA did an adequate job of diagnosing the problem and treating it, however he in no way prepared me for possible reactions. Within a few days my lips were bleeding and very sore. I called the office and was told to go to the ER or Urgent Care. I called several other times in the next week or so. The message said I would be called in within 48 hours. I called three different times and never received a return call. I left a call for the office manager and she didn't return my call either. This is not a professional way of treating patients. went in for a skin check as referred by my gp. I think the doc froze a bunch of stuff that maybe didn't need to be done. Took a biopsy of one and I never got the results. Asked for the report and still waiting. I will look for another dermatologist. read more

It's unfortunate that their very first review will be a negative one. Don't waste your time. It took me 3 weeks just to get an appointment. I had to initiate every contact call. They don't get back to you unless they're rescheduling your appointment. The day before my long awaited appointment-- they canceled it and wanted me to reschedule for 4-5 weeks out. Mind you--- I have a dermatology problem that I've been dealing with for 8 months so---that's a no for me. Don't. Waste. Your. Time. They are not very professional there. read more

Professional office, although hard to find in the management building. Nice staff. Thorough doctor. I got called in as soon as I completed my paperwork. It took awhile to get an appt. I had a consultation visit at Lux Dermatology today due to my face and neck allergy. The clinic itself is nice, appears to be organized and neat. The staff at the froth desk and the doctors' assistant were friendly and accommodating. I was seen right on time. Dr. Esfahani was the one who attended to my concern and he was very thorough in explaining the possible causes, medications needed and why it is needed. You can also feel his concern for his patient's well-being. Overall, it was a pleasant visit. I highly recommend this clinic. read more

Today, we went to our appointment after we waited for a month and a half for that appointment. The lady tells me that they don't take our insurance which is EPO and that I didn't tell her that when I scheduled. That was a complete lie as the lady took all my insurance info and I made sure to tell what kind of insurance I have as I was looking for a long time for a dermatologist who takes our insurance. They even had their name on the doctors' list on my insurance list. I absolutely don't recommend them at all. We could've been seen by another dermatologist by the time being instead of waiting that long. My daughter even took a day off and came back from Davis for that particular appointment for a cyst on her arm which could be something serious. read more

So I have an appointment today as a new patient. My appointment was at 2:40pm. I arrive at 2:40 pm and am promptly told by the receptionist I'll have to reschedule because I needed to arrive 15 minutes early as outlined in the confirmation email I was supposed to receive. I was a little stunned and out of breath from taking the stairs due to the elevator being out of order. Had I not just driven 50 minutes in hard rain to get to the appointment I may have asked if the exception could be made as there three about 3 clients waiting and I doubt my filing out a form would throw off the doctors schedule. Yet I didn't, maybe now that I think if it was due to the cold lack of empathy or concern show by the receptionist. She didn't even say hello before telling me I would need to reschedule. If the care mirrors the reception I received today save you time and money and find a provider that cares. read more

I've been looking for a dermatologist in my area and came according this business. I contacted them back in August to schedule an appointment as a new patient. In the beginning I had no issues with the service I had received until around maybe 2-3 days prior to that appointment I got a phone call from Lux saying their Dr. still had not started working yet for the business and they would have to reschedule me. They informed me that they have I believe it was either a nurse practitioner or a a physician's assistant that I could see instead but nonetheless I still had to be rescheduled. I understood the mishandling that occurred and allowed them to reschedule. I ended up having to wait an entire month for appointment, which was supposed to be for 09/03/21 that never happened. When I got the call for the rescheduling I was NOT told to come in earlier than my appointment time to fill out new patient paperwork. Fast forward to today, I arrived on time but was having trouble finding the building because it is hidden in a back corner of a shopping center so I called the office to make sure I was in the right location. I ended up being in the right place but was soon told that they would have to reschedule me because I was "late" since I had not gotten there before my appointment to fill out paperwork. I was put on hold by the receptionist while she confirmed this, after a few minutes of holding she got back on the phone and informed me I would in fact have to reschedule. The fact that I wasted my time driving to their office to be turned away for THEIR mistake, I left work early for that appointment and lost out on money I could have made instead. What's the point of scheduling an appointment to then want a patient to show up earlier than appointment for paperwork. If paperwork needs to be filed out the time for that should be allotted for during the appointment timeframe. Or since it was their mistake in the first place and because if them I had to be rescheduled I feel like they could have compromised and still saw me for my appointment time and had me stick around on my own time after the appointment to fill out the paperwork that was needed. Sorry but not sorry to say that after a month of waiting for this appointment I will not be giving this company a third try. read more
