I would give no stars for this company..The photos speak for themselves. Packed & moved my stuff into "Their" storage unit in West Palm Beach. Little did I know that they were going to be moving into a bigger storage facility, so my stuff was moved TWICE to a different storage facility. Little to ZERO care was used to move my things. Most of ALL my belongings have damage. Plus, there are some items MISSING that "Travis" says that were delivered. Friendly in the beginning to get your money, but ultimately cost me a house full of broken & missing items.. do not use. read more

My Mom passed away and we wanted to try and get a few antiques moved from her former home in FL to our place in N California and these guys came highly recommended by both our real estate agent and the company that helped us with my Mom's household estate in FL. They were really nice guys. Pick up was easy to arrange with my realtor handling my Mom's home sale (in our absence), and they delivered everything (a fine Persian rug and a small, French style antique desk which has been in our family for a long time....) with careful and respectful attention. On time, fairly priced and most importantly thoughtful, polite and everything arrived in one piece. I'd use them again and have no hesitation highly recommending them to others. I can't say that about other movers we have needed to use in the many cross country relocations we have needed to do in our family ! THANKS GUYS ! read more

Travis is great. He is extremely responsive and gave me the lowest quote for my move across the state. He is very reasonable and will try to come up with solutions to your problems. One other thing I really appreciated is that he gave me tips on how to lower the cost and how to do a lot of it myself. John was one of the movers and he did not perform that well. He is a bit sloppy and wasn't as hard working as David. I found a lot of wrapping paper in the parking lot of my new place and on the furniture after they packed up. Also, he put my bed together and a week after I checked and saw so many bolts were loose. It was a good thing I caught it so I can tighten the bolts up myself otherwise if my kids were jumping on the bed the bed could collapse. I would recommend keeping a close eye on him. read more

I had high hopes this company would do a good job with my move. I got six bids and while this company was not the least expensive, I selected them based on my interactions with Alex during the bid process. He sold me on customer service, timeline, reliability. He assured me they would do a great job with my move - that they would "take great care" of me. He billed his as a family owned company that takes great pride in their work. I was duped. The local AZ crew who loaded did a good job. From there my goods went to Dallas to storage - which meant unloading the truck into the storage unit and reloading it all into a truck 2 weeks later for delivery to my new home in Texas. This is probably where things started to unravel. I got no phone call or other communication prior to delivery day to confirm my delivery or time. I had to call Alex the day before and learned then they would not be arriving first thing in the morning the next day as originally communicated, but at noon (they showed up after 1:00). When they arrived it was clear the crew who reloaded the truck in Dallas was not as skilled or careful as the AZ crew. They drove up to my house with my goods not only in the truck, but in the crew's personal cars and pickup trucks! And when they opened the moving truck I saw that items were not tightly packed and had shifted during the trip. Boxes marked "fragile" were upside down and sideways. There was damage to many items - my refrigerator and my dryer have dents in them. My piano is damaged. There are yellow stains all over several pieces of furniture as though something liquid was spilled on them. There are scrapes and dents on almost every piece of furniture. Many boxes were crushed and some were soaking wet. The contents of several boxes were also wet. Some of my china, which was very carefully packed, was broken. I wonder if the storage unit was truly "secure and temperature controlled" as promised? And here's the thing - I purchased upgraded insurance and I have been trying to find out from Alex what I need to do to file a claim. He refuses to respond to any communication - I have called, texted and emailed repeatedly and he has not responded. Even when I let him know I would be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Department of Transportation and involving my attorney (all of which I have now done) he is unresponsive to me. At this point I just want to use the insurance I paid for. Seems like a simple ask that any reputable company would honor. But this is not a reputable company. Alex turns on the charm until he sells the deal and has his deposit. And make no mistake - he insists on the final balance upon arrival at your destination - NOT after the job is done. Once the deal is sold he could care less about the customer - my few interactions with him during my move were with an Alex who was definitely NOT the nice, responsive, customer service oriented Alex who sold the deal. Some of them were borderline abusive. If you're looking for a moving company, don't make the same mistake I made...for the money I spent I could have (and should have) hired one of the major movers. read more

I called them on Thursday and they were able to move my couch on Friday. They were very professional and they made sure my white leather couch was very protected. They were on time and moved quickly and carefully when they were here. Very easy to work with and I would 100% recommended them. read more

We had mixed reviews with Lux Moving. We recently moved cross country and received a great quote from Lux! Travis was very responsive and was great to work with. However when the packers came at first it was wonderful they seemed to know what they were doing etc. but by the end of the day you could tell they were just trying to get out of there and haphazardly packed so if my belongings. I even asked them to check a few boxes of glassware to ensure it wouldn't move in the truck however when we received our load we found a lot of our glassware broken and at least 5-6 boxes they pack completely smashed and in horrible quality. If you are planning on packing your own items they are great! But wouldn't recommend Lux to pack your items. read more

We used Lux to move my in-laws from Florida to NJ. Being in NJ and trying to find a moving company in Florida was not an easy task, so of course I turned to Yelp. It was a very difficult time for our family, as my father-in-law was very sick. Travis answered the phone that day and his understanding, compassion and flexibility really helped make a hard situation a little easier. The packers were great too! They did what they said they would do and when a hick-up developed (truck was too small for all the stuff to be moved) they did not charge extra for the time to make the second run. the move distance was short so this was not a big factor. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I had a moving contract that states the movers would be there a specific time. The driver called me at the time he was supposed to arrive at my house stating that he's 4 hours away in west palm beach and that he will head to my location in 39 min. The office area I'm moving to closes at 5pm, therefore by the time the driver would finally arrive and load the truck, they would arrive at the destination around 7-8 pm (this was clearly stated before I booked lux). When I contacted Lux, the individual who answered the phone was extremely rude and condescending. He insinuated that I should of planned better and suggested I leave my home keys with him so the moving crew can get the boxes and lock my door after. I obviously decline his ridiculous suggestion and reminded him of the specifics of the contract that I signed; during the conversation he hung up the phone on me. I called back several times and he forward the call to voicemail. Due to his unprofessional behavior, I cancelled the move with them and found a reputable moving company to assist me with my move. read more

I contracted with Lux, formerly known as White Glove, to move and pack my kitchen, and also to sell and/or donate some extra furniture. I paid full price, with a generous tip. Lux did not live up to its end of the bargain. My friend and I packed a majority of the kitchen ourselves and the move was not completed on time. Worse, I found the next day that they had forgotten several large items at my old home, that I had to then move myself. The owner, Travis, did not relay the tip for his employees until they called to ask me about it, and I relayed that to Travis, and then he said he found it. Finally, he has yet to either sell or donate my furniture. I have had to continuously follow up, and he does not respond. When I pressed him, he had the audacity to call and yell at me! I strongly recommend not using Lux, unless you want to pay full price to do the move yourself and endure the owner's personal abuse. read more
