We have moved up to six times because of work. This has been the most easiest, smooth, and efficient move we've ever had. Eric and his team were amazing! We had a three 2 1/2 townhouse. They packed the kitchen efficiently and all dishes and cups arrived in one piece. Everything was perfectly organized. The best part is they even helped disassemble the beds and reassemble everything once we arrive at our destination. This was our first time using a moving company and I am very happy that we chose Smooth Movers out of Saint Augustine. It was a last minute booking, so we were expecting some difficulties, but these gentlemen were so professional and accommodating. They sent pictures as they were loading the truck and video of the apartment when they were done. This move was from Florida to North Carolina and we had to get there by Monday December 29th. I have never written a review before but I was so blown away by Eric and the guys that work for Smooth Movers. I moved from South Florida to Central Florida but had to put my furniture in storage for 6 months while my new house was being built. The worst move ever! Too lazy to take a queen sized headboard off the frame. Tried to move it and broke the headboard in half. Picked up my 65" flat screen tv with their hands on the screen. Ruined the pixels. I was told that without a receipt they can't do much to compensate me for it. Numerous dishes broke as well. Not very smooth!! read more

Absolutely fantastic experience with Smooth Movers. A funny name for a fantastic service! Eric was really responsive and we scheduled a home visit as soon as I reached out about my move. I appreciated that he came by to take a look at everything for the estimate because, to be totally honest, doing an inventory myself would have been overwhelming seeing as I was moving myself and my mom out of the condo she had lived in for almost 20 years. We organized to have some packing help a few days before the move was scheduled and Barry and Jim were prompt, professional and swift with the work. On the day of pickup, again prompt arrival and they had everything loaded within about 3.5 hours, amazing considering we had some complicated furniture that was being moved. The next day, once again, right on time and all smiles, the team got everything in our new home, taking good care of all the twists and turns in the hallways. I was referred to Smooth Movers by my landlord After Eric visited our two story cottage house today (July 19 2021), he no bid us, as we're moving to a three-floor townhouse and they only do one or two story units (see 1st quote below), although not stated on their web site. This is my reply to Eric who replied to my one-star post on July 19th, 2020, as he no bid moving my family from a two story home to a three story home, as (1) he only does 1-2 story moves, (2) his staff are in their 40's and have bad knee's and (3) he prefers "easy jobs", as ours involves bulky items, which he deemed as "Yours is hard-labor moving." His email lacks proper use of punctuation and current vs. past tense, etc. His spelling was correct. Highly recommend! I contacted them for a move with barely any notice (:/) but they were able to accommodate me anyway. Communication with Eric before the move was great. The contract was very clear and easy to understand what my costs would be upfront. Finally, moving day went so well! I've never used movers before so wasn't sure what to expect. The two guys (sorry i don't remember your names!) were incredibly polite and quick! They moved everything with care and put things in the new place wherever I asked. When they realized they were finishing up early (4 hour min) they let me know i still had time and asked if i needed help with anything before leaving. Don't use these movers. I am a 74 year old senior citizen. I hired Smooth Movers to pack and move me 1 mile to my new condo. They're representative came to give me an estimate. We agreed on a price and I was given a contract to sign. All I was told was to sign here, here, and here. Nothing was said about replacement costs or my packing fragile articles. When my belongings were delivered we discovered a $ 600 chandelier was broken. I was then informed I had signed a clause agreeing to 60 cents per pound value for damages. They have refused to replace my property and sarcastically offered to give me a check for 60 cents. Beware, they take advantage of senior citizens. read more

Happy Holidays everyone! I am happy to write this review. The week before Christmas 2014 Eric came to our apartment in Palm Beach Gardens to give us a quote for our move south. The following day the movers Tristan and Kendall showed up on time with smiles on their faces. (Very refreshing after a recent bad experience with another moving company that only moved 4 of our items). They spent several hours carefully loading and unloading our things. They even helped me coordinate moving my friend who is disabled. His special chair and hospital bed needed extra care and set up at the new townhouse. My friend was particularly concerned about his baseball collectors pictures and frames. Kendall went out of his way to wrapped them in front of my friend so he could see they were being taken good care of, this warmed my heart. Good caring people! My husband and I were very impressed with our move with Smooth Movers! We were lucky to work with David T. and his team. They were able to move some tricky things down our stairs with patience and efficiency. The men were very respectful of our things and they asked us where we wanted things to be, and made sure to move things where they should be labeled on our boxes. We also have a very curious dog and they were great with him. While I was keeping an eye on my pup on a leash, the team also made sure to keep an eye out for a little furry guy who might get away. Also, they got things done in just a few hours and we were able to have the rest of the day to get a nap in and unpack! I called 3 moving companies and Eric was the only one who came out in person to give me a quote. He was very professional, patient and kind. The Afternoon before the moving date!! They were sorry could not make it because one of the guys had an accident, to reschedule. I can nit reschedule when everything is on a timing bases.
