As a dark skin bride, finding artists with this ability was extremely difficult. After failed trials with other artists, I was left without makeup artists or hairstylists a few days before my wedding. Tania and her team were lifesavers!!!! I'm not one to leave reviews but felt compelled to do so. I wanted to start off and say that communication setting up appt and getting to location was great. Everyone I interacted with from the Luxe team was very nice and accommodating. I sent over numerous photos of what I was looking for in hair and makeup. I also sent a picture of myself so that they could see my hair length and texture. This allowed them to know exactly what I was looking for and if the stylist was able to accommodate the desired look. The day of the event, wedding day, someone reached out to give directions and included pictures of the building. This was super helpful. As soon as I arrived at location, the second half of payment was requested before services was completed. I went ahead and paid, along with a tip having faith that I would leave satisfied. When finished, I was not 100% satisfied but somewhat content. My hair did not look like the pictures that were provided. I have long hair with hair extensions which should have allowed for the desired look. When we left, we went straight to the destination beach (10 minute drive) and my hair was already straight. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. This was my wedding day that I have dreamed of for years and my pictures did not even look as if my hair was curled. I reached out and the only thing that was mentioned wqs that she would talk to the stylist. She was very nice about everything but would have liked that someone validated my frustration and attempted to make things right. Offer a discount or a coupon or something to make things right. It would have been one thing if this was just an event but this was my wedding day that was photographed and all I can see is my disappointing hair. If I would have know my curls were going to fall out I would have wore my hair straight or up. I wish someone would have taken the time to talk to me about my wants and what is realistic, ect. Just wanted to leave this here so that another bride would not be unsatisfied and disappointed as I was. read more

I have had a long time to sit on this review and still feel as though it needs to be shared. Overall, Tania was responsive, kind, and willing to help. That being said, the ball was dropped many times throughout my event planning and actual event. I expressed many many times my concern about Maribel being able to adequately provide the hairstyle I wanted (a simple mid-head curled ponytail). I have long thick hair and her work wasn't reflecting what I wanted. Tania informed me she would be present at my trial and last minute was unable to make it, she FaceTimed us and informed me that having the makeup artist stay later on my wedding day would be comped for this inconvenience. The trial itself was horrendous, my hair was redone twice and I left in tears. I again expressed my serious concern about the hair stylist to both Tania and my planner (this was in early April). Fast forward, Tania ensures me and my planner she will be at my wedding to make sure it's all okay, she tells us last minute she actually won't be. She also informs me two weeks before my wedding that she has a new hair stylist (amazing!). Now we get to my wedding day, 3 of the 5 hair and makeup artists show up. The other two are no where to be found. Tania says there was a preventable miscommunication with her and Maribel leading to this issue. I'm in tears, my wedding morning is ruined, my bridal assistant has to step in and do makeup so half my bridesmaids do not have bridal makeup. Tania sends over someone to help but she's not there in an appropriate time. I'm ensured we'll be alll ready on time, we weren't. I don't even get my hair or makeup started until 12:30 when I'm supposed to be completely done and ready. Not only that but Maribel who is the reason for the problem is complaining saying she needs to leave by 12:30 like it's my fault they're behind. They then make it my problem to find a way for the makeup artist to get back to her car even though they're supposed to remain until the ceremony is over (yet again something I shouldn't be dealing with on my wedding day). This caused me to lose money, MANY MANY pictures including my bridal portraits and pictures with the bridal party, made us 1.5 hours late and caused me an insurmountable amount of stress. All but one of my bridal party who had their hair done by Maribel had to completely re-do it on their own. Maribel the "head stylist" didn't try to re-organize the timeline or help in anyway to make it go smoothly so I had to direct people and change the schedule (this should not have been happening on my wedding day). It should be noted that Fernanda (makeup) is PHENOMENAL and everyone who had their makeup done by her looked out of this world amazing. My bridal makeup was absolutely perfect and lasted all day! Tania then tried to explain everything that happened and tell me that she took on the costs of sending someone else as though I should thank her (she should be eating the cost of what she caused) and provided me a mediocre reimbursement. The reimbursement was to be given to me 12 days from our conversation, fast forward over a month later and it was still not given to me despite many reminders and asking her where it was and telling her I just want this nightmare behind me, I had to email and text many many times to get the refund. I received my wedding photos this week and there are so few of getting ready, of just me, and of my bridal party it breaks my heart because I can never get that time or those photos all because of Luxe. The blatant lack of communication between her and her team is alarming, I would consider this before booking them as this was a completely preventable mistake that absolutely ruined my wedding morning and now I will get to look back for the rest of my life and remember how horribly it went because of luxe. read more

After a failed makeup trial (4 days before my wedding) through my resort I was frantically messaging vendors on on wedding wire. I was a little hesitant to use LUXE beauty because they didn't have as many reviews but I'm so glad I did. Tania from LUXE was super responsive and made the entire process easy. Raymund (Ray) did a fantastic job on both my hair and makeup! He is so kind, patient, listens intently and is truly a master at his craft. He was able to replicate the exact look I wanted based on my inspiration photos and made it even better. He is a perfectionist and wants you to be 100% satisfied. Everything was blended out seamlessly without any harsh lines. The makeup didn't feel thick or cakey at all. I felt like I still looked like myself and the quality he delivers surpassed my expectations by far. The make up still showed up on photos but I didn't feel like it looked like too much in person. He also managed to tame my thick, unruly, poorly shaped eye brows. Everything stayed intact all night. He also did my hair which also turned out to be very elegant. Luxe Beauty Experts far exceeded my expectations. I came across them when I originally was using the resort where we were having our wedding and was extremely disappointed during my trial run. I reached out to Luxe and they immediately fit me in for a trial and OMG...they did not disappoint. Andrea was my makeup artist and hair stylist and she did my trial, welcome reception, sunset cruise, rehearsal dinner, and wedding and she is beyond amazing. Communication and booking were easy and they are so very professional, providing me and my bridal party with a timeline for the day. Andrea even assisted with making sure my veil was secure on my head. They were on time and made each event stressless and I felt so beautiful. The airbrush makeup was awesome and lasted all day.
