I've come here several times and am usually pleased enough. However the last appointment I got white toes and the polish chipped 2 days after they were done. I went back this morning to see if I should pick another color or if perhaps they could apply the product less thick. No one could understand what I was asking. I had the luxe nail spa. This is the reason I've stopped going to get my nails done. But a group of us went for a wedding. There was no love in the treatment. The other friend cuticles bled. When did they starting cutting off all the cuticles? Now I have to deal with crazy peeling around my nail base. This has really convinced me the nail service has changed. It used to be a pampering session, a treat. This was just a shop to get it done quickly. So glad I didn't go with acrylics or gels. Home care is so much better than this. read more

I recently went to Luxe Nail bar for the first time. It's close to my home and a beautiful shop. My service provider never said a word to me, and gave me the worst pedicure I've ever had. I had a paraffin treatment which he put on for 30 seconds and started massaging the wet wax all over my legs with cold rocks. He clipped my toenails and left rough edges, since he didn't file them. My polish looks good which is why I gave 1 star. read more

I came in for a fill and to trim my existing acrylics down. I typically just do gel over my natural nails. However, I've been trying out acrylics and so far I'm unimpressed. The tech wasn't rude but wasn't nice either. She simply just existed to tell me what to do it seemed like. What went right: - the polish color is pretty - I like the nail length What went wrong: - I waited quite a while while other walk ins that came in after me were assisted. Only after I mentioned I had been there for a bit did they show me to a seat. - The dremel nicked my skin multiple times - At one point the dremel ran off my nail and onto my actual finger. - My cuticles were barely touched. I work with my hands for a living and my cuticles are always a mess but I have never had someone leave them in the state they were in. I had to ask for the cuticle nipper at the end so I could fix it on my own bc the tech had already left. - There's a weird swoosh on my thumb that I didn't notice until I got out to my car. - One of my nails is already chipped, going from the salon to my car. - No lotion, nothing. It was as bare bones as it gets. I won't be back. This was a bad experience and I'm so disappointed. I should have just heeded the warning of others. read more

They just opened so they're still trying to smooth a few kinks. There are not enough nail technicians so the wait was pretty long. They estimated 30 minutes and we waited almost two hours. There were three of us that wanted both manis and pedis but ended up just doing pedis due to the time. Thankfully we weren't in a huge hurry, otherwise it would've been even more frustrating. Customer service was pretty good though. The guy at the front desk is super nice and immediately asked if we wanted something to drink. He even brought an extra chair so we could sit together while we waited. The place itself is super nice and spacious. The massage chairs are very comfy and the pedicures were great. We got the classic/sporty one and it was amazing. Really happy with the end result, just wish the wait estimate hadn't been way off. They are offering a 20% discount this weekend since they just opened. read more

This was my first time. The wait time was minimal for a Saturday. The staff was friendly. They require mask & asked me to wash my hands before picking out my color for my pedicure. The prices were reasonable, the massage for my pedicure was amazing. The location is really clean. They do have the chairs spaced for social distancing, everyone wears a mask & the they have clear dividers for your manicure between you & the staff. Overall a really good experience for my first time. I would like to go back & try it one more time. They do offer a beverage if you want it, wine is an option. read more

Good at toes but not nails.. they have a good range of color. Went to get a simple polish change on toes and acrylic full set for nails & asked for square but the shaping was too square/chunky. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I then asked the guy to file it more narrow a bit and he said well that's not what you asked for on the picture you showed so then the manager came and asked what was wrong with it and seemed annoyed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They both seemed bothered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So they file it into I guess a coffin shape and the shellac obviously comes off and then they put a clear coat over my nail with dust on the nail so it's all bumpy/rough. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then I asked if I could just take these off and do a whole new set and I WOULD PAY FOR IT ALL. I've been going here for a couple years now. I think this salon sees a lot of people just stopping in randomly and not as many "regulars". Those first few appointments I felt like my nail tech was pretty rushed and unenthused but as a repeat customer I have noticed an improvement in service. I was referred here by a friend who had a great experience so I decided to try. This place is expensive and poor quality. I went for a dip manicure and literally the next day the dip had begun to crack. I don't work with my hands and I used to get shellac all the time with no problems. I thought dip would be stronger and last longer and it obviously doesn't. Here it is 3 days after I got the first cracked dip nail fixed and I am now having to get 3 additional cracked nails fixed. The manager refused to refund me and instead suggested that he would have the same person re do my nails. As if he was doing me a favor. I paid $45 (I should have ran when the guy doing my nails told me the price) for this dip manicure. I said that to say, don't let the fancy interior fool you I've had much better results for a fraction of the price. Don't waste your time. *update* So after repeatedly asking the nail tech politely to not drill my nails aggressively the owner John came over and basically yelled at me as I tried to explain to him what was happening. He then told the nail tech to stop doing my nail (half way through soaking my nails) and asked for me to leave. I demanded a refund which they reluctantly gave me. I will never return and I will tell everyone I know to never try this place. I'm currently on the way to another nail salon to have my nails fixed correctly! read more

This will not be a place I go back to for my nails. I made an appointment and showed up right on time and no less than three people worked on me, no one speaking English, no one telling me what was going on. When they filed my nails down, there was debris and bits of nail polish flying over me and the three people around me - it was pretty gross. My cardigan got covered with junk. I've never seen that before at another place. My third person finally finished my nails as fast as he possibly could, ripping my cuticles up in the process and doing a very lumpy powder dip. My nails look ragged and like a home job. There are lumps and bumps are all over my nails and they're not very shiny. I'm pretty embarrassed to have paid $40 for this. The woman on my left head beautifully done nails by a woman who stuck with her the whole time. The woman on my right and I had the same similar experience having multiple men try to work on us 2 minutes at a time, never talking to us in English, sitting unattended most of the time. She was there way before me and was still there when I left. I thought she was going to cry. They did a terrible job with customer service for her and made her feel really badly. The service there is alright if you have a reservation they tend to get you in somewhat as you get there but if not you are waiting a long time. My issue with this place is the workers would rather just make their money then tell you they can't do a certain design. Last time i was there was the last time i will ever go there EVER again. The guy doing my nail design which i considered to be extremely simple because i even went home and re-did it myself PERFECTLY took about an hour to do my nail design because he kept messing it up and towards the end i just told him yes i like it all just so i could get the hell out of there but i will post what i asked for vs what i got and you tell me if it was worth it because he worked off a FILL and still charged me $60 for it read more

The quality of their work is expensive but decent. However, BEWARE! DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR BELONGINGS!!! My sandals were perfectly nice BEFORE they mopped them! Cleaner was too LAZY TO PICK UP YOUR SHOES OFF OF FLOOR so they MOPPED THEM instead and damage them. "We didn't do anything" the manager says BUT THEY DID - THEY MOPPED THEM AND DAMAGED THEM. CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE THIS SO CALLED ESTABLISHMENT FOR YOUR NAIL NEEDS!! My 17 year old daughter went to this place(by herself) on Tuesday, 8-11-2020 to get her nails done. She purchased tips and dip. The technician, while speaking poorly about my daughter to her co-workers while working on her, did not push back her cutilcles, left space on the sides of her nails and over all did a really poor job . It looked as though as soon as the job was done she had at least 2 weeks of growth. Due to my daughter having to go to work that day and working 2 jobs, she was unable to go back to them until Friday, 8-14-20. When she did and asked them to either fix it ot refund her, the manager told her "we will not do either because your nails just grow too fast and there was nothing wrong with the job that had been done." He dismissed her and treated her very rudely. When I returned home from work on Friday my daughter told me what had happened after and I went to Luxe with her on Saturday 8-15-20 to try to help. As soon as he saw my daughter, he started shaking his head "no" rolled his eyes and sighed. I again asked him to either fix them or refund her and he refused stating it was her nail growth. He got very loud with me and my daughter and finally conceited to take the nails off himself... Until he learned I wanted to watch him do it as to ensure he did not hurt her while he was removing her nails. I knew he was angry and did not want him to take the situation out on my daughter and hurt her. At that point he asked us to leave. At one point (before things got heated) he asked her where she normally got her nails done and she told him Odettes on Brookside. His response was "I suggest you just continue to go there for your nails and don't come back here". I responded "no problem there, and I will let others know how you like to treat your customers". I'm giving 4 stars bc overall I loved it, it was an easy going atmosphere and I didn't feel rushed at all, which I appreciate so much. People were attentive to me right when I walked in, I enjoyed the process, but the actual service of getting my dip manicure and regular pedicure were slightly disappointing, since I had to go back the next day to get my toes redone. I will say when I came back to fix the problem Maria was amazing, jumped right to it and went above and beyond, didn't just fix two toes but redid all of them! and did an amazing job. Made me so happy. As for the dip I don't remember her name who did them, she was nice, but I feel as though it could have been better, it almost looked grown out when they were freshly done, like the paint wasn't taken all the way down the nail and also lumpy on both of my thumbs, but the lady's were both very nice, and mistakes happens. read more

I'm updating my review because as of this week, I am no longer a customer of Luxe despite my loyalty over the last two years. I went to go get my nails done like I do every 2-3 weeks. I showed the lady the color I wanted as I took a picture of the dip container they carry that I like so I can be sure to get my favorite color each time I go. I showed her the picture that is of the label on the bottom. She retrieved the dip and began doing my nails. After she completed one hand, I noticed the color looked different. I looked at the dip container and it wasn't the correct one. When I confronted her, she confirmed it was indeed the wrong color. She offered to redo my nails. I declined because I don't have an extra 30-45min to soak, scrape and buff my nails all over again. Plus, I don't want the damage done a second time that I know dip has on nails. She finishes my nails and as I went to pay, she charged me full price. I requested a discount because it is not my fault she selected the wrong color. The manager approached and I explained what happened. After speaking with the employee, he decided the best they could do was redo them in a couple days. I don't have 90 minutes to spend twice a week on my nails. I work full time and have a family. I declined and again requested a discount, their compromise was a discount on my next visit. I have zero idea why this discount on next visit couldn't be applied to my current visit containing the mistake. I informed the manager that I would never return to Luxe again and unfortunately for them, the lady seated next to me who witnessed the incident also informed the manager she would not be returning. To make matters worse, I went home and later found out my nails glow in the dark. These nails light up an entire room. Not sure what formula they use but if the electricity goes out my family will have no issue with light. read more

Terrible service The first time I went I made an appointment. Was a few mins early to my appointment but still had to wait 40 min before being seen and the nail tech was not friendly. Then my polish chipped so I called ahead to see if I could come in and get it fixed, they said yes, got there, got asked to wait a few min, then 15-20 min later the receptionist asked me if I could come back at a later time because they didn't have time to fix my ONE nail.
