If you want your hair color blended well do not go to Chris LeVan. I explained to her that I wanted my roots to be blended downward into my blonde hair. I told her this over the phone when making the appt, when I first sat down with her, and after she brought the color back after mixing right before she started applying. Long story short, she did the complete opposite. She put blonde into my roots and added straight lined zigzags. Example: \__| |_| |_/ |__/ |_| rather than blending them together.. "30 years of experience" more like "30 years of winging it" I wish I could attach a photo to this review. I cried after leaving the salon. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because they got me again quickly and wasn't booked up for weeks out. I see why now though. read more

Went to this salon based on other yelp feedback. The location is a little tough to find as it is tucked away in a little shopping area. The salon was quiet when I got there, which was after five. The staff was friendly and seemed to get along well, which contributes to the environment. Amanda did my mani and pedi and she was very polite, friendly and her work was thorough and detailed. I am very impressed with the level of service. I can be pretty picky about my nails and I love them! read more

Recently moved to Tulsa and was terrified of getting my hair done by someone new, but was in desperate need of someone to do my roots. I started a new job and my manager and another lady in the office referred me to go see Jenny at Impressions salon. My roots were grown out so much (because I was so scared of using someone new) that I decided to go a different route and try the new ombre look. I asked Jenny to just extend my roots more and that I didn't want anything dramatic. Jenny said that she could do that easily. I specifically asked her as well NOT to put any warmth into the mix because my hair turns red easily. She then starts grabbing pieces of my hair and painting them with the brush, (said it was balayage) I then got scared. After washing my hair I freaked out, all of my blonde was gone, it was red, and absolutely no ombre was there! She noticed my facial expression and said if I didn't like it to come back and let her fix it. I went to work the next day and everyone said it looked bad, there were even pieces she missed and it looked like cheetah prints. Long story short, she tried fixing it... my hair is still red and I hate it. I called to notify the owner of the salon and left a message for her to call me back and she never did. I walked in and asked for the owner, it was the lady that I asked- she told me there will never be a time that we could meet in person because she's always busy and that she would call me when she had time. (Yes she literally said that) The owner called me at 6:30pm that same day (from a blocked id) and was very rude and unprofessional herself on the phone. She basically said it wasn't her problem since Jenny rents a booth from her in the salon and she is her own manager. I had a horrible experience with this place and with the owner. I would never recommend this place to anyone. VERY unprofessional place! read more

THE GIRL CAN COLOR!!! She goes to continuing education color classes frequently. My nails have never looked better since I started going to Jina Simpson at Impressions. She's so talented, and so fun to be around, yet at the same time, very professional. The atmosphere in the salon is so warm and welcoming. All the employees there are so professional, yet upon entering, everyone greets you like a they've known you all your life. read more

One of the best places I've found in Tulsa. I go and get my nails done here regularly and the people here are always so friendly and welcoming. I am very particular about my nails and they ways get it on point every time! I'm very pleased with the service which is why I go back. I'm always get a shellac manicure and they don't have too many colors but the service makes up for it. You also get a paraffin dip every time and it's amazing!!!
