Clean facility, safe, and patients have their needs attended to. It's rare to find a facility like this. If it were my parent or loved one, I would 100% send them here.

This review is primarily for the Memory Care Wing of Tequesta Terrace, which also has a larger,…read moremore independent Assisted Living Wing (which I have not visited). Tequesta Terrace is a beautiful facility. From the moment you pull up and park, you see that this property is well taken care of. The building looks more like a hotel; nothing about it- to me- screams institution. The front desk is always staffed by a smiling, welcoming woman, and I've spent time more than once in the comfortable waiting area/communal living room it opens onto. No matter what, I'm entering into a depressing situation- a loved one in a nursing home; thus, I appreciate even more the very non-depressing entrance! TT decorates heavily for most holidays. This gives the building a homey feel. The staff in the memory care wing have almost always been pleasant, with an easy smile for a visitor. This is so important; these staff members have a very trying and probably depressing job. Residents pass away constantly and only enter this wing in dire decline. I have witnessed staff at lesser facilities openly abuse residents verbally and physically; I can't imagine this happening here. I've visited at all times of the day, weekdays and weekends. I'm not saying that I see everything or that every staff person is perfect: I have had my share of frustrations with various details. I have also seen staff exhibit extreme patience and care for both residents and their concerned loved ones. I hope this means that staff here are paid justly for the work they do. The staff knows right away who I am visiting and where to find him. I find this surprising and endearing. Walking into the memory care wing, the spacious opening room opens with a grand piano, bookcase, and living room furniture. The memory care wing surrounds a beautiful, private courtyard with benches, tables and chairs, a fountain, and lovely landscaping. This space has been my saving grace. Although most residents aren't able to access this space on their own (due to memory reasons), it provides a wonderful space to interact with my loved one and give him fresh air and sunlight. The church bells from the Catholic Church nearby ring often. Lizards run everywhere, protected from predators. I wish they would plant butterfly plants and put up bird-feeders, to attract more wildlife, but in general it is a lovely space. When I first began visiting, I was always impressed with TT's ability to keep the wing smelling pretty good. It isn't always this way, but 75% of the time it smells ok. This is not easy task, to say the least. The main room where the residents spend most of their time has vaulted ceilings and skylights; it feels very open. I do think it is too small for all the residents. To fit everyone in, residents must sit next to each other, which causes problems, and there is very little space for walkers or wheelchairs to move freely, which is disappointing considering it is no small task for a resident to move about independently, let alone navigate around feet and walkers and furniture. I am hoping the staff will address this overcrowding soon. I am so grateful that my loved one is safe and well take care of. It is the best I could hope for in this situation (Alzheimer's). Thank you, Tequesta Terrace.

We had a very poor and expensive experience in Memory Care at the Atria Park at St. Joseph's…read more If your loved one had any negative behaviors associated with dementia/Alzheimer's. Our 85 year old, 93lb., insulin dependent mother who suffers from mid-stage Alzheimer's unknowingly had a UTI when we placed her here and became confused and agitated. She hit one of the workers twice. We knew this was out of character for her so we sent her to the hospital where she was admitted for IV antibiotics. We were told that we needed 1:1 care which was provided by an agency they recommended. We then placed her on anti-psychotic meds to hopefully stop episodes of agitation. She was given 3 different medications which resulted in low BP and pulse, lethargy which resulted in syncopal episodes. I was not informed of the 1st incident. The second incident happened while I was there. When we asked the workers for the nurse, we were told that he was on the Assisted Living side and the didn't know how to reach him as he didn't answer the walkie-talkie. There were several times where a nurse was unavailable as they were on the AL side. Towards the end of the month, the nursing director stated that we would start tapering the 1:1 care and transition her to their care as there were no further episodes of hitting. Unfortunately, she developed a second UTI and again became agitated and confused. It was reported to me that she hit someone again and we were then told that due to her frequent UTI's secondary to her anatomy and her colitis, we would need to provide 1:1 care indefinitely 3 days prior to the end of the month. It cost us $16,000.00 for the one month in 1:1 care coupled with the $6,500.00/month for their fees. Of course, they know that no one can afford such exorbitant costs on a sustained basis. The man in the next room has been yelling and screaming out frequently and his wife had to find a new place for him. Most of the food was less than appetizing. When they served fish which my mother does not eat, they offered her such foods as hot dogs despite having discussed her dietary needs at our intake interview. This happened frequently. The facility is quite dated with small rooms. The A/C units are antiquated wall units which are loud and kick on and off all day and night. They supposedly fixed this issue when I complained, however, it was not rectified which frequently woke my mother at night. The patio was full of leaves and unkept. The hallways smell of urine and feces. My advice if you are considering a place for your loved one is to avoid Atria Park at St. Joseph's, although they advertise being a Memory Care for Dementia/Alzheimer's patients, if your loved exhibits or develops any of the normal/frequently seen adverse/negative behaviors, look elsewhere.

That director was very instrumental in organizing and handling our evacuation to Orlando during the 2019 hurricane predicament. Being an enormously talented leader who looks further down the road, she leads us in a very personable, professional manner. Through her constant communication with residents, staff, and family members, she keeps us well informed of where we are, actions taken, and what to expect in the future. She is assertive when necessary, very honest, dedicated, and possesses a positive attitude that has built a culture of mutual trust in all of us. The staff at LaPosada are exceptional! Kind, Welcoming, Helpful and knowledgeable. The services, activities, meals and quality of living is tremendous. My mother absolutely loves her apartment and she loves living there! She has made friends quickly and always has a friend (or new friend) to have dinner with each night. And we have joined her for dinner several times and the food is upscale and delicious! We especially like the cocktail hour each night in their bar area. I love that there are two restaurants to choose from and there are new specials every night. There are also plenty of fun, interesting shows, activities and exercise classes for her to participate in. She enjoys regular transportation to Publix, the mall, or a doctors appointment. In addition, the grounds and community center are so beautiful and peaceful. A special shout out to many of the wonderful staff members: First our initial contact Lonnie Ehmann who shared her time and talent and layed the foundation for our initial visits. Fabulous Kim Mancini, Yolanda, and Vivianna all made my mom's transition seamless and comfortable. Stephanie, Jennifer and all the wait staff at the Waterfront dining are so gracious and outstanding! The list goes on and on - I really can't say enough about all the staff at La Posada!! There is incredible comfort and peace-of-mind knowing that she is well cared for and that there are systems in place to check on her well being. Dear Senior Lifestyle Corporation,…read more On behalf of my team at Mangrove Bay in Jupiter it is my honor to contact you with a review. I would like to express how incredible it has been to operate over the last four years at Mangrove Bay working alongside Kathy Wise and her team. Kathy has been an inspiration to work with as I have learned a lot as a manager myself from her and her style of leadership. I would like to acknowledge how impressive the staff retention is at Mangrove Bay in all departments and it is certainly evidence of excellence in your appointed leadership team. Mangrove Bay is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, an excellent example of what an Independent Living/Assisted Living/Memory Care should aspire to be. I have had the opportunity to work with many of the local competitors within this market and Mangrove Bay is in a completely different league on all facets from leadership to resident care and nursing, activities to the dining experiences and maintenance department, every facet is nothing short of excellent. I have had the opportunity to get to know the residents and their families over the years very well and I can assure you they feel the same way. As I know Kathy is rounding the corner towards retirement, I wanted to express how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to work with her and her team. Mangrove Bay, with all the new renovations, is as beautiful as ever and I am very confident Mangrove Bay will be just as great with your newly appointed Executive Director. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

I was there almost every day and found he was not clean, several times soaking wet, rashes, unshaven, filthy room, dirty laundry piled up. I put a camera in his room as it was so bad. Short staffed. Many times night staff could not be reached when I called as my husband slid off the bed and was on the floor. One time for over three hours. There were supposed to be alerts on the bed. This was an ongoing until I finally removed him December, 2025. Scabies was prevalent in August, 2025. PBMC said my husband was the only case. They made excuses about those who were scratching and had rashes. We complained until they finally brought in their dermatologist and the results all came back inconclusive. A few of us who took our loved ones to our own dermatologist got positive results. Family members tested positive after they were told their loved one did not have it, even though she had rashes and was treated. ??? Due to my trying to correct issues rather than move, we were evicted. Family members said I was an advocate for them as well. Since we left in December, several other families have left. I have been told they had to treat the residents as scabies was rampant. Some staff had it as well. A family member told a group of us the chef told her there was no money for food and they were running out and were using tiny scraps of turkey soaked in water. Some staff members, including Gina, who was great with activities, recently quit as she had enough. This barely touches on the problems in this facility. I asked James, the maintenance person why the carpets have never been professionally cleaned in over two years. He said he got an estimate, but management would not approve funding. He said he could not do it. properly with his machine. The one star I gave is for the few caregivers who do try to do a good job, but they are frustrated with the situation. Tae, the chef, seems to care, but his hands are tied. We need to band together to protect our loved ones. I am 78 years of age...the pressure has been horrendous and affected my health.
