Changed the story of trying to say an inexpensive shut off valve was $100 each because of COVID increases + labor. Changed the hourly labor rate from $80 to $90 then $120 for his apprentice. Paid the $305 CASH for less than a half hour in good faith but after investigating and questioning John Murphy and Nick D'Amico who couldn't tell the same version of their billing, I requested an invoice which they skewed to try to justify their bill which was another "story" altogether on how they arrived at this charge. They left rusty parts from the leak which they were told in advance needed to be replaced, but didn't and John had to come back because their apprentice twisted a hose which was not even part of the leak repair. John Murphy was not the plumber I called, but the "partner" of an old timer that I had previously been satisfied with-no more. After they would not return my calls to resolve this situation, numerous complaints have been filed including Consumer Affairs/plumbing license, BBB, and warnings on No Call lists at several churches and Senior Citizens groups to name a few. The $305 cash for a small leak repair might seem an insignificant amount, but their lack of professionalism, lies, inferior work and deliberate overcharging needed to be exposed. Turns out their reputation for my complaints is not an isolated one! Consumers beware and avoid!!!
