Our family of 14 just spent 7 days at Mediterranean West #702 and all loved it! Everyone I spoke to at LCV was nice, friendly and very helpful. The BIG issue we had was not having the correct address for the very faraway parking we had to do for our 3rd vehicle! We drove way out on the road and it would have helped a bit if they gave me the full name of the parking lot! People at Blue Angel were rude and not helpful! When my call was returned from LCV, he made closer, arrangements for me. The condo is spacious, well decorated, had everything we needed in kitchen except that a 2 quart pitcher is not enough for that many people! Everything worked well. Cleaning people did not clean floors well!! And the parking 20 miles away is definitely a con!! But the condo and the people I talked with were absolutely awesome!!! We would stay here again. My family and I booked a beachfront condo in Gulf Shores through Luxury Coastal Vacations months in advance. I hadn't been to Gulf Shores in years, and my husband and our 2-year-old son had never been, so we were incredibly excited for this trip. One week before our vacation, I received a call saying our reservation had been canceled. I was completely confused because just two days earlier I had received a confirmation from the host and thought everything was set. At first, I honestly thought it was a scam. It wasn't. I was told the property had been sold, and we were no longer allowed to stay there. I was shocked that a vacation could be canceled just one week before check-in. The representative I spoke with was also pretty rude and showed very little empathy for the situation. She told me my only options were to contact Airbnb Support to transfer my funds to another property or receive a full refund in 3-5 business days. When I contacted Airbnb Support, they told me my reservation was still showing as confirmed--not canceled. That meant I had to call Luxury Coastal Vacations a second time. This time I got a different representative who couldn't help me and said the first person I spoke with would have to call me back. She never did. Trying to find another 3-bedroom beachfront condo with similar amenities, for the same dates and within our budget, was nearly impossible. There were only a couple of options, and neither met our expectations. Luxury Coastal Vacations offered us one alternative--a duplex about five minutes from the beach that appeared to be in a questionable area--and it was $1,000 more than our original booking, which we would have had to pay ourselves. After I declined, they simply said there was nothing else they could do and told me to contact Airbnb Support. Thankfully, Airbnb was able to transfer our funds, and we ended up booking a beachfront condo in our original vacation destination, Panama City Beach. However, it took two stressful days to get everything sorted out. It was very stressful and annoying. I understand properties can be sold, but couldn't believe they can just cancel our vacation 1 week before and the way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing. There was little effort to help us find a comparable replacement or make things right. Because of this experience, if I ever see Luxury Coastal Vacations listed as the host again, I will skip that property and keep looking. I would not recommend booking with them read more

Well where to begin...pictures are worth a 1000 words. Here are a few pictures of the condo that is $1000.00 a day yes that is correct! Let's also not forget the AC went out, the wash and dryer sound like a jet engine taking off, 2 fans have an awful clicking noise on any speed. 2 toilets have to be plunged after use. And yes reported all and nothing done! Also the cleaning solution used in common areas will fumigate you...pray you don't get stuck in the elevator after cleaned! Now to the rule book, from a hospitality stand point, well it's just rude. Just take a look at the pictures...rules are meet for the good but no food or drink with in 4 feet of the pool? Quite voices during the day in the pool?... Oh yeah and if you have more than 2 vehicles they ask to park 20 miles away at an automotive shop...ummm NO! Why didn't I look here before using this company? Now all I can do is warn others. Arrival, toilet used by someone, I assume cleaner, and not flushed. Place itself was visually very pretty but don't try and use the microwave if there's a light on. OR for goodness sake run the dryer and the REFRIGERATOR!!!! We were signed on for a month and everyday was a trip to the breaker box several times. It was a joke. Took me 2 weeks to get someone supposedly in management on the phone. Everyone seems to always be "in a meeting". I requested a fair adjustment of any sort just to "feel better" and the crazy house. He assured me he would. Later found out by going through this cat and mouse nonsense, he never did anything he said. I put in another request, denied. Denied based on ...nothing I typed here, but that I suggested the house have a manual. You are now warned. If you have a problem it most likely will just be frustrating. read more

While I absolutely loved the condo we stayed in (Beach Colony Tower 9A), we will NEVER go through LCV again. We paid for a 7 night stay and 3 nights in we had to evacuate because of Hurricane Sally. LCV refused to give a refund or even a credit for the remaining 4 nights. No we did not take out the insurance, but after reading the policy, it would not have mattered because the evacuation was voluntary and not mandatory. Had we stayed we would have endangered out lives, had to stay in a condo with no power or water and had damage to our truck from the floods. We had inquired before evacuating if we could get a credit and one girl told us that she could ask the owners but when we called back to tell them that we were leaving the next woman was very unfriendly and told us it was against policy to issue a refund or credit. What kind of company has a policy like that?!? I refuse to ever do business with a company that puts money over the lives of their guests, especially when the Governor of their state is requesting that all non-residents leave! Not only will I never use LCV again, but I plan to let everyone I know about their business practice. We travel to the gulf 3 or 4 times a year and have never dealt with people like this! read more

My family visits Perdido Key atleast once a year for the last decade. Last week was our first time using Luxury Coastal Vacations for a rental. It will also be our last time using them. - On our 4th day, around 10pm, a man entered our condo (had code to our door) and was rather aggressive. He told us that he was the owner of the condo and we had to leave. We showed him our booking info and it became apparent that there was a booking issue with Luxury Coastal Vacations and him. - I tried calling their emergency after hours number (tried 5 times) and no one picked up. - After an hour of waiting, a guy called me back and told me to call customer service number the next day. - Had a difficult time sleeping that night (as having a large guy ENTER your condo while your kids are sleeping is quite scary). Second night I purchased door alarms. This helped a bit but was still not restful. - I called the customer service number the next day and was informed that there was a mixup and that the guy wouldn't be returning while we were there (although we did bump into him the next day at the beach). - I told them the whole story and that we didn't sleep well and it was very stressful (not what you want on vacation). I requested for two nights to be refunded. The lady (Shelia?) was nice and sounded like she'd take care of things. - I waited all day and never heard back from her. So I called back 45 min before closing. She never returned my call. The next day she called and said they'd give me $180 refunded for our trouble. - Their lack of security (doors didn't have an interior lock so only keypad works for lock) and computer system messed up... allowing a person to enter our condo and scare the crap out of my family and they only gave me $180. NOPE! This is the reason why I will NEVER use Luxury Coastal Vacations. I'll stick with Vacasa or one of the other many companies that will take care of their customers and have better security! As I searched for them to post this review, I see that I am not the only person who isn't happy with this company. Probably should've looked at reviews FIRST before using them. We are due to stay in a rental in a couple weeks to visit our son in the Navy. Unfortunately our son's schedule changed and he does not have off. I contacted them and asked them if we could move our dates since the rental has no bookings for the the following three weeks and they denied the request. I understand that it was a non cancelable booking but if you have the ability to work with a customer why wouldn't you? Our son is in the Navy to protect our freedom, the least they can do is work with us to allow him to see his family. read more

The company posted a condo for rent at a rate of $125 a night via a third party, the reservation was approved and deposit was made. Four days later the company called blamed the third party for the mistake in the pricing. They also stated the property should not have been listed. When there was communication before reserving the property with the company and nothing was said in that regard. LCV attempted after we had read the terms and conditions and our rate should have been firm as well as the dates they attempted to tell us we had to pay the rate of $600 a night and book for 7 nights. Did I mention, my 4 nights at the rate of $125 had been accepted. This is clearly a company that does not operate with ethics nor has the ability to eat their losses when a mistake is done on their end. Do not use this company! read more

BEWARE OF LUXURY COASTAL VACATIONS AS MANAGEMENT COMPANY. Rented a small house from them in Gulf Shores only because it had a heated pool which never worked during our 7 day stay. Management company very unresponsive, refused any responsibility and lied about repairs. Did not offer alternative accommodations or even a voucher. After daily complaints to manager, eventually issued $175 refund for unused pool heat. Property was poorly maintained with water/mold damage, extremely noisy appliances, old scraped up pots and pans, broken blinds and locks, etc. read more

Seriously that's a LOT of money and it was handled so poorly that we will never consider using them again. We had a 9,000 square foot home reserved for a sibling reunion. We booked it 8 months prior to travel dates. 2 weeks before our arrival they cancelled our reservation. Early May ( our arrival dat was mid May) they said repairs weren't complete, yet mid March they only had a few doors left to hang or paint. There was nothing of the size needed in Alabama so we had to go to Florida. RENTERS......BEWARE. Stay away from this company if you can. Beautiful, but disappointing Stayed in condo 805A located at the Lost Key Golf & Beach Club. The condo was beautiful and we were really looking forward to this vacation at this gorgeous unit. We've been sheltering in place during the pandemic and we were assured that the condo would be cleaned and sanitized as advertised on the company's website and which was sent again to us prior to our stay. However, the high touch surface areas of the condo were dirty and not in keeping with LCV's "clean promise". Kitchen cabinets had dirt and smudges, the refrigerator was filthy (inside and outside), and the bathroom sinks were not clean. The master bath had a strong scent of men's cologne. Knobs were missing on the kitchen cabinet doors, blinds were broken in the master bedroom, and the sliding patio doors were very difficult to close and did not lock. A rep from the management company, named Michael, stopped by as we let ourselves in. Michael stated that the condo "was not up to the company's clean standards" and offered to fumigate it, but we had already cleaned the surfaces ourselves. LCV's website ad also stated that we could park in the parking deck adjacent to the condo. However, we were only permitted to park in an assigned, outdoor spot. Most of these issues would not be concerning, except we visited during the pandemic and delayed our check in to allow for "extra cleaning time". Then, "Sally" hit which was only supposed to be a tropical storm, but it unexpectedly lingered over the area. As a result, our car was damaged because the condo's parking spot was directly adjacent to 2 palm trees. Several car windows were broken and the car was full of debris and water. We limped back to Atlanta driving a car that looked like it survived a hurricane. Management only issued us a partial credit which we may apply against a future stay, even though we were without utilities for days during the hurricane. The credit didn't even include the day we were hit by the storm. I spoke to a rep after I returned home about the issues and she didn't extend any concern about our problems. She was very matter of fact. However, she immediately updated the website's ad and she removed the reference to the covered parking. Email me and I'll send you a copy of the original ad. read more

I rented a condo during a peak travel season. The rental agreement did say that after 24 hours a cancelation would forfeit the entire deposit. Of course something came up and I called them and asked them if they would try to re-rent it and if they could if they would agree to a reasonable cancelation fee -- which they would not. I realize vacation rentals are tough, however, life happens and this company will not work with you. Other companies are way more flexible and I would suggest checking those out first. read more

We had booked a few months ago for a week in July to attend a softball tournament. With Covid-19 ongoing, our organization decided not to attend as we don't know what the situation is going to look like. Luxury Coastal Vacations will not refund a deposit, regardless of what's going on in the world. They "don't anticipate any issues in July". With us cancelling 60+ days before our scheduled dates, they have plenty of time to rent it and I'm sure they will, so just extra money. Only option that I had was to pay $150 "change fee" and rebook for future dates. Brett Robinson is having no issues refunding deposits from other families with our group, so I will book with them for our yearly beach trips in the future. If that's your competition, you may want to consider having similar customer service. read more

My experience started out great. However with the Pandemic the problems began! My family vacation was scheduled for May 16th thru May 24th. As of Friday you cannot get into to Florida. I was advised by Jonathan that I had to make a decision immediately and if I changed my dates I would have to pay a change fee. The beaches are possibly going to be open for walking etc., but no beach chairs or pools until maybe May 15th. I was unable to roll the dice on this, and as a result they kept my deposit of $300. This company is the WORST we have ever experienced! We are from MINNESOTA and dream of being on the beach, sitting on our patio watching the sunrise with a good cup of coffee and the sunset with a good glass of wine. we booked a 39 night stay at Beach Colony East . Arrived on Sat Feb 5, unpacked, filled the fridge with food and beverages in our 3 bedroom, 3 bath condo.On morning #2 at 9:30 AM there is a knock on our door and a contractor informs us he is there to close off our patio for the duration of our stay due to the construction going on outside of the building. WHAT??? Luxury Coastal never communicated one thing about this that day or when we checkind in 2 days prior. The contractor tells us they have known about this since Sept.2021. in October 2021 they emailed and said there would be construction going on but the 3 times I called asking specifically about the patios , they said no it should not be an issue based on the construction schedule we have, And than each time they covered themselves by saying but we all know construction schedules can change. these customer service reps were so well programmed they had the exact same response each & every time! To me it was a lie!! They did not want us to cancel and find a different condo they just wanted to string us along! So after many conversations on day 2 of our stay they gave us these options. 1. Pack up and move to one of two far inferior condos to the one we were renting. These condos looked like they had not been updated in 25 years, furnished with garage sale furniture and much smaller than the one were renting..oh and there would be no credit given of any kind. Plus we will charge you two sets of cleaning fees and administrative fees!!!! 2. Suck it up and be quiet. 3. Late Monday afternoon a supervisor called and informed us smaller condo, 3 miles away had become available...did we want that? We decided yes we would move so we could enjoy a patio somewhere! Oh by the way the ADDITIONAL cost would be $758.34.....yes AN ADDITIONAL $758.34!!!! no waived fees or discounts! We did move and come to find out the reason this smaller condo became available was because one of the two guests staying there that had rented for January & February had come down with COVID and was very, very sick and had decided to go back to PA. SO NOW LUXURY COASTAL WAS DOUBLE DIPPING AND GETTING PAID FROM TWO CLIENTS FOR THE SAME TIMEFRAME! Feels dishonest and thief like to me...RENTER BEWARE!!! and don't trust their clean promise either..the condo was filthy and i have pictures to prove it! read more

After being home a week from our vacation, I decided that it was necessary to share my family's poor experience with Luxury Coastal Vacations (LCV) as a caution to other renters. In October 2020, we selected a home from LCV to rent for a family reunion in May 2021 - Reunion Beach House at Laguna Key (Gulf Shores). The 10 of us had not been together since 2019 and we were incredibly excited to have found the perfect destination to reconnect and relax at the beach. Two weeks prior to our 5/16/21 vacation, we were notified that the house was not available. The rep said that painting had not been completed from hurricane damage sustained from last fall. This was not ringing true to us because on 3/21 I had contacted LCV with several questions on the property. During that call I specifically asked if the property would be ready for us knowing that there had been damage in the neighborhood from September 2020. I was whole-heartedly assured that it would be ready ... "we have a couple of doors to rehang and that's it - there are families staying there several weeks prior to your arrival, so, yes, the house will be ready for your group!" When my sister-in-law was notified that the house wasn't available to us, all that was offered were connecting subpar condos totaling about a third of the original space of the home we rented. She asked about future rental dates at the home (even though rescheduling dates for our group was probably not an option) and was told the house was booked through November. Nothing else was offered and she even had to fight to get back the insurance fee we'd paid. Several of us spent hours and hours scouring the internet to find something else. It was extremely stressful with five couples (siblings and spouses) coming together from across the country. We finally find a home but it was in Pensacola Beach, FL and we had to shift our dates by a day. The house was substantially smaller, did not have some of the amenities such as a hot tub, heated pool, fishing pier, etc. that the original house had and it was close to $2,000 more. The only reason we were even able to find this home was because there had been a last-minute cancellation. Additionally, we had booked a fishing trip and sunset cruise in Gulf Shores and those had to be cancelled, as well. After looking at Google and Yelp reviews, it appears that we aren't the only ones who have had this kind of experience with LCV. I've rented many vacation homes over the years both domestically and internationally and have never ever experienced anything like this. Just incredibly bad customer service, especially for a company that considers themselves "luxury." I'm not sure how they can get away with this kind of practice and still be in business. read more

I happened to stumble across the website for Luxury Coastal Vacations and decided to contact the company to ensure all my preferences were being met with booking a reservation. A friendly member of Luxury Coastal Vacations staff picked up the phone and took adequate time with me to walk through all my preferences and the entire booking process. The individual that assisted me with booking the reservation was so pleasant and attentive to my needs. The next month my family showed up at Beach Colony resort in Perdido Key. This high rise condo was everything that I had requested and more. This condo was beautiful, clean and had an amazing waterfront view. Luxury Coastal Vacations had everything prepared when my family arrived. There was a welcome note, all utensils for the kitchen and extra packets of coffee. The Condo was so luxurious with great ocean views from the bathroom window, large waterfront balcony and both bedrooms were so nice. This really was a great way to start the vacation. The amenities at Beach Colony were also great! The pool was clean and right near the ocean, with clean towels, and a great path that led right to the beach. There was a nice gym for a morning workout. Luxury Coastal Vacations booked everything perfectly, just the way I had requested! The vacation was so great and I will continue to use Luxury Coastal Vacation for future bookings!!!! GREAT COMPANY=5 STARS! read more

I know this service company has good reviews but please beware. The risk is too high, given what I went through. And I have all the emails to validate my review. I booked a condo with LCV in Orange Beach, AL in summer of 2020. LESS THAN 24 HOURS from check-in Luxury Coastal Vacations called to tell me the condo owner was coming to town and therefore I could not stay there. I had already traveled half the distance to the beach with my entire family. A 7 yr old, 5 yr old, and a NEWBORN. And we were left with a cancelled condo. They called at 4:30pm and close shortly thereafter. What a mess! WORSE, is they did not offer me anything other than 2 or 3 condos that were available but NOT comparable, and even asked me to shorten my stay so they could find more options for me. SHORTEN MY STAY?! Those options were not even ocean front. One OTHER option was desirable but it was more expensive and they asked me to pay THE ENTIRE COST DIFFERENCE which was about $1k?! I had to wait 2.5 hours for a manager to call me back- mind you, it was 6:30pm. Nothing could be done. Nothing more was offered. Just apologies. They wanted to place all the blame on the condo owner. Never had a bad experience renting in Orange Beach in the ten years I have been renting in that area. Until now. The whole experience left me panicked I would even get a refund out of LCV because of the unprofessionalism, but thankfully I did. read more

One week from the reservation after we had signed the contract and payed we were told that the unit was no longer available and offered a first floor substandard substitution for the same price. Upon further investigation we found the new unit should have been significantly less money. Watch out for the predatory practices of this company! read more

The only reason I have them 1 star was because 0 stars wasn't an option. I had reservations beginning Oct 10. I received a call TODAY (13 days after the hurricane) saying that the place I was staying wasn't open due to hurricane damage. They will not give me a refund. I had previously gave them a bad review when I did not think I was going to get a refund back when our reservation got canceled due to hurricane Sally. I am an owner of a handful of vacation rentals in Perdido Key. As a new owner a while back, I kept my rental with the prior owner's management company for convenience. Shortly thereafter, I added another property. I had loads of trouble with management not following through on concerns and lack of decent houskeeping. After speaking with several other owners we switched to Luxury Coastal and have been nothing but pleased. They are far more responsive, the unit is sparkling clean and towels and linens are much nicer and always clean. If I have a maintenance issue they are on it, our guests are getting better service and we are quite pleased! read more

Do not book through them... booked a vacation home on VRBO through Luxury Coastal Vacations, pulled our deposit, send a rental agreement... 4 days later we get a call that the rate on VRBO has "glitched" and can not do anything about it and we have to accept refund or spend 250% on their next cheapest option. They easily could have gone back to VRBO who they hire to post their rentals and make this right, instead they turn it back to the customer. We will not return. For the record Kalie/Kaley was very kind through my frustration on the phone, just unfortunate the outcome was not in favor of another innocent customer. read more

Owners beware! Our experience with LCV was a nightmare. After saying all the right things, we listed our brand new unit with them. They never booked it and claimed things needed repair when they did not. They even left our balcony doors open during a tropical storm. Not unlocked but actually open which caused us to have to replace a brand new large screen, high-end tv. Our electric bill for that time period was outrageous. In addition, they left all our new balcony furniture outside (even though we were charged for them to put it inside due to the pending storm) which resulted in lost cushions and damaged furniture. While they admitted that the doors were left open for a couple of weeks, they did not offer to compensate us for our losses. If you care about your investment at the beach, do not list your unit with LCV. read more

I just want to let everyone know that we recently used Luxury Coastal Vacations to book a condo over the 4th of July week in Perdido Key Fl at Shipwatch and the condo was 5 star, but most of all the customer service from Luxury Coastal Vacations was 10 star. From the day we booked our stay till the day we left the customer service was fantastic. Each person treated us like we where there only renter. You can only imagine over a holiday week how difficult at times it must be just from a logistic standpoint to have properties clean and ready for the next guest. Well Luxury Coastal nailed it. Our condo was spotless and so comfortable. When you get to bring your grandkids it is even more special. Thank you Luxury Coastal Vacations and we can not wait to come back. Thanks again. read more

My family rented a condo in Perdido Key in August 2015. We had a wonderful stay. We had other family members rent condos in the same building but used different companies. They did not receive nearly the same information prior to their arrival that Luxury Costal vacation provided us. We received a list of recommendations of local restaurants and site seeing opportunities prior to our arrival as well. The unit was clean and we felt very comfortable. Upon our arrival, we had a minor issue in which I was able to call and report that evening... To a real person. They sent someone out the very next morning to fix the problem. STUNNINGLY INCOMPETENT! Don't walk, run from Luxury Coastal Vacations(LCV)! Flew from California to Perdido Key to enjoy a 4 day weekend with relatives/friends at Perdido Sun (Unit 616). On check-in day, I called LCV to ask for an early check-in. THEY HAD NO IDEA WHO WE WERE! I gave them the AIRBNB confirmation number and was told they needed to call us back. 15 minutes later, the Reservations Manager called to inform me that Perdido Sun 616 was already occupied. Huh?!?! I booked and paid for that Unit 2.5 months ago!! LCV claimed the owner of the Unit had to move in after a hurricane that had come thru 2 weeks earlier and had damaged their house in Louisiana. Ok, I get it, stuff happens, BUT WHEN WHERE YOU GOING TO INFORM ME THAT I DID NOT HAVE A PLACE TO STAY??? LCV offered us a substandard unit as a replacement. No thanks. I specifically picked Perdido Sun 616 because of the floor plan, the amenities, and the size of our large group. I wish we would have read all the negative reviews on Yelp prior to booking this unit. I will not be dealing with LCV again, and neither should you. read more

For starters we had to be evacuated due to a fire. Second the water in the condo was not working between 10 pm and 7 am, this can be an issue with kids and going to the bathroom. The tile around the pool is coming off exposing mold. The Indigo is slowing falling apart. The staff at Luxury Coastal Vacations was less than helpful. In short don't use this condo or company. read more
