We have stayed at Turquoise Place twice now, and there is definitely a reason we came back. It is easily one of our favorite places on the Alabama Gulf Coast. The resort has direct beach access and incredible Gulf views, but the amenities really set it apart. There are multiple indoor and outdoor pools, lazy rivers, a splash pad, and an awesome four-story waterslide. The condos are spacious, and having a private hot tub and grill on your Gulf-front balcony is hard to beat. There are also plenty of other activities, including tennis, pickleball, putting greens, fitness facilities, and poolside food and drinks. Turquoise Place gives you the space and privacy of a beachfront condo with the amenities of a high-end resort. After two great stays, we would absolutely come back again! read more

Party in D2302 prior night and now excessively loud music coming from below 22nd floor in D tower. Don't come here thinking you will have a nice family vacation. This place is very nice, but I do wish to leave a note for the management team (we saw them walking around the building yesterday). Positives: great venue, location, amenities (hot tub and grill on the balcony) etc. The cleaning crew is constantly working in the elevators, hallways, and in public spaces which often goes overlooked but we really appreciate it. Areas for improvement: The front desk folks need training. Every time we stopped by it was a new face...some friendly, some not. Mostly they just struggled with answering basic resort questions from us and others inquired. "How do we rent chairs at the beach?" The young lady said, "sorry i don't know." I called to check on how to use the putt putt activity. Another young voice said "you just putt the ball on the grass and hit it." I laughed, "no sorry i need to check out equipment for it right?" She said, "you can look at it first if you want." So I responded, "do you have putters and balls that i can use?" She said, "yes". I responded "how do i do that?" She said "its free to use." I asked "where do i get the equipment?" She said "at the desk". I get to the desk and they tell me "i must leave my driver license to check out equipment." June 8-15, 2024 Turquoise Place I am writing this review here since I could never get management from Turquoise Place to contact me. The bar manager did contact me about the issues there, and said someone from hotel management would be in touch, but no one ever responded, which is not acceptable considering how much money it cost to stay there. We booked through Spectrum and not a third party. The door lock worked fine using the wrist bands, such a cool idea. The problem was that EVERADAY, no less than 3 people from your company would enter our rented space to check or look at something. They would knock and then before we could walk to the door they would be using their key to enter. This is absolutely not acceptable. You could never take a nap or shower if part of your party was gone, for fear that some random person would enter, which happened many times! They also entered our room many times when we were not there. As far as the hot tub. We couldn't use it three of the days due to it being emptied and refilled, and took overnight to heat. With multiple employees in and out of our room each time they did this. Food at the restaurant on site by the pool. This is a major issue for us. We went to order food, and were told on several occasions that we would be sent an itemized bill, for each item purchased, at the end of our stay via email. This is false information. Over the phone after we check out I was told that there is no way this can be done. The order was written down on a piece of paper and no wrist band was swiped, just told that it would be added to our room at the end of the day. We were also told that we would get the itemized bill showing the 10% discount, that never happened either. We were never give the 10% off, and we were also automatically charged a tip without our consent, and this is was never addressed when we asked about it. It would be nice if you could find a way for your staff to notify guests that they are coming to your unit. This unit cost over $10,000 for a week, and I felt like we should have invited your staff to eat meals with us because they were in our unit so often. I feel like this unit with all the disruptions was worth maybe $4,000. The place is beautiful in theory. But the mold on the laundry room ceiling, that's been there awhile, the mold in the washing machine rubber seal, the lint in the dryer lint trap was so so over full, it hadn't been emptied in months! Just a few of the things. Reservation staff was very friendly and helpful.Full of informations that was not entirely the truth of the way things are run at the condo. In fact we ran into a lot of different stories from different staff, all believing what they were saying was the truth, but it wasn't always. read more

If I could tell you one place I could be for the rest of my life with no exceptions this is the place. Beautiful beach view, with a CLEAN beach even better. Not too many jellyfish and white sand, something I look forward too. It has a good community with good staff. Love the pool situation indoor in each building, lazy river, hot tub in each building, and two outdoor pools. Also the hot tubs on every single balcony? Love that. One thing I will say is the plug sparked but the problem was solved with the hot tub specialist who come in daily. Many many activities and delicious food restaurants to try out. Some activities are parasailing, dolphin cruises, a cute little pirate ship, so much more. Yummy food from the gulf, eating on the beach! Like a dream. The good it has some nice rooms. It is the regular day maintenance that is lacking. There was dried blood stains all over on the sidewalk in the pool area. There is going in the pool and needs to be cleaned up. We pay a lot of money here to have a good time. Someone needs to circulate the pool area more often to check on things. read more

Turquoise Place is lovely. We spent three nights here in the first week of the summer and enjoyed our stay. First impressions - lobby area is open, full of natural light and staffed by helpful employees. Parking situation is perfect as our spot was so easy to find. Our unit was spacious, and very tastefully decorated. I think it's a thing here that the units all have hot tubs on the balconies. Ours was huge and ready to use when we arrived. We also had a built in grill and beautiful sitting area out there. All systems were in perfect working order and everything inside was spotless.the bedrooms and baths were large, as was the kitchen and living area. We had a pretty sizable fireplace too. The pools were sparkling clean and the beach area was too. There is an outdoor bar and grill by the pools on the ground level. I only ordered there once and the food was delicious. I had a chicken Caesar wrap and fries. I realize that's pretty basic, but it was done right. My biggest issues: The lazy river. It's on the 4th floor, so sort of a pain to get to. There's no gift shop where you can purchase little things you may have forgotten. I didn't have milk for my coffee so I had to walk to the gas station down the street at 6:00 am. The walk was no biggie, but when I asked a couple of employees where I could get milk, creamer or buy a cup of coffee, they informed me that there was a breakfast restaurant but it was only for premium members. Clearly that wasn't me, but it would've been nice if someone could've just helped me out with a little creamer. I guess if those are my biggest issues, then it's a pretty nice joint. Side note, but very important - My daughter and her bestie were caught in a rip current very close to shore. They had to be rescued, and thank God, the 2 awesome guys who rented our beach chairs to us were there to dive in and save them. Those same guys rescued 4 others that same day. I never saw a lifeguard, so watch your children closely and stay safe. read more

Condo 1305 c was great! Cleaned well except for the jacuzzi tub when we cut it on it had mold coming out other than that it was very clean. Rented the chairs and umbrellas on the beach for 3 days and they made the experience even better. Very hospitable and friendly. Elevators could be a little backed up and caused to wait for a long time sometimes but not much that can be done about that. Security guards were ok. Older guy was very helpful but others not so much. Reported someone was in our assigned parking spot and they said well go find another spot. Little confused as to why there are assigned if anyone can park where ever. Would more than likely stay here again in the future. Very spacious for 6 ranging from 14 and up. *If you are looking for a place to stay for spring break or a vacation with your family, this is NOT it* Dirty and maintenance/employees are very difficult to reach and seem to take advantage of the elderly population. My grandparents are staying here for one month. The condo they are staying in has black stains and matted down carpet. The tile floors have areas of black dirt in the grout and the master shower has mold in it. Their 2nd day here they realized the stove hood vent/light, multiple other lights, and hot tub were not working. They have been in contact with a worker named Avery from Lifescapes and said she would contact maintenance for them. Three maintenance workers have been to their condo to look at the hood vent over the stove and nothing has been fixed. Each maintenance worker stated they would need to call someone else to fix the hot tub and change the light bulbs. There seems to be a lack of urgency and communication amongst Turquoise Place and their employees. After 9 days here nothing has been fixed and my grandparents have not been able to enjoy their hot tub, or cook in the kitchen due to lack of lighting. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone I know if they care about their family members or friends. Thousands of dollars spent for a subpar Super 8 condo, whom seems to take advantage of the elderly population. This is absolutely heartbreaking a company would treat their elderly costumers like this during 2021. read more

We stayed in Unit 1209C and it was a beautiful unit overall but the air conditioning was not working properly. On Tuesday I called and they sent someone to come check it. We were not in the room when they came in. They put fans in all the rooms to help circulate the air which helped some but heard nothing from anyone with what their intent was or what was going on. We tolerated it a couple more days and I asked to have someone come back. Another guy came in and said it was hot because those particular windows were not tinted. I asked if there were portable air units we could get and he stated they were all being used. In my opinion this was a ridiculous excuse. I went to the front desk again and let them know it was still not working. They came in and said one of the compressors was not working and it would be the next day before they could get it fixed. At this point we had been there 6 days dealing with this problem and were leaving the next day. They did give me a "small credit" in my opinion considering what we paid for 8 days and was in a 4 bedroom unit. Also the first of the week I let them know the grill wasn't working and they said they had to order a part - never fixed during our stay. The master bedroom bed was broke also and we had to sleep in the middle because thats apparently were the bed was broke. This is not a place to stay where you would expect things like this. Also I let them know there was black build up on the lazy river and it was just dirty and dingy overall. Some of the floats were deflated and just laying around. The beach service (different company) was amazing to say the least. We had a good time but just very disappointed in our stay. The ladies at the desk were very nice and placed the orders for the complaints but nothing was done to fix the problems while there. read more

This rental property is so gorgeous! I stayed here for four fabulous days and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was extremely helpful from the time we checked in and until the day we left. Upon entering our rental, we were greeted with a nice welcome gift that included a bottle of wine. Our rental was very spacious and tastefully decorated. It included three bedrooms, 3 and a half baths, full-service kitchen with a wet bar and wine refrigerator, living room with a fireplace and flatscreen tv, full dining table and bar seating, sizable balcony overlooking the beach, hot tub, full size grill and dining table (on the balcony), and laundry room with an energy efficient washer and dryer. I fell in love with the master bedroom! It was large and included a sitting area, flatscreen tv, huge bathroom with a whirlpool tub, separate enclosed glass shower, separate rest room area, huge walking closet, blackout curtains, and an amazing view to the lower beach (19 floors down)! In addition to the fabulous accommodations, Turquoise Place also has a private beach, multiple pools, an outdoor activity center with various games (like a humongous chess board and corn hole), and delicious catering services. Overall, I would recommend a stay at this fabulous place. I know my group enjoyed every minute of it. read more

BEWARE! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ENCOUNTERED! Unbelievably horribly run business. We booked here during the off season for the private hot tub on the balcony. Someone from Turquoise Place called a day after we booked our reservation and said our room was "randomly chosen for a cleaning" and was going to have an inoperable hottub but they'd give us a $60 discount for the inconvenience. (Paid $6,000 for the week). We were told we're not allowed to cancel so they booked us a new room with a private hot tub on the balcony that was supposed to be working. We checked in Saturday evening. Monday afternoon they shut down the hottub for a minimum of 3 days without notice. ZERO COMMUNICATION! This time they were going to compensate us $15/day for the inconvenience but Deb at the front desk wanted to argue that it was not 3 days that the hottub was down. After several phone calls and getting nowhere, we were evicted by Deb. She felt that her final offer of $180 ($60/day) should be adequate and when my husband refused her offer she evicted us. They would not refund us our money but refunded our friends their full week because we were the ones that complained. We had several other issues. The master shower had a huge leak requiring at least 4 large towels to soak up the mess every time you'd use the shower. Dishwasher was dripping leaving a pile of water- had to be fixed twice. Stove wouldn't shut off. Dirty master bathroom upon arrival- hair in the sink and master tub had obviously not been cleaned after previous renters. According to Deb and Spectrum Resorts, the customer is not allowed to be dissatisfied and if you are you must leave/be evicted by police. DO NOT STAY HERE!! She is claiming she felt "threatened" because my husband asked her if she wanted him to discuss these issues in the front lobby. Beyond disgusted by this company! Book elsewhere! read more

This year for Thanksgiving our family decided to do it at the beach since our annual summer trip wasn't able to happen. Since the weather was unknown and two babies would be in tow, we wanted something where we could see the beach. After much research through various gulf cities, I saw that Turquoise Place was actually pretty reasonably priced. I stayed here about 5 years ago and was blown away by the luxury of it. Plus the big space it provides made the family not miss renting a beach house. It was perfect for what we needed. As stated, the space was huge. All bedrooms had private baths (which has not always been the case in previous years). And of course, being situated on the beach gave us a panoramic view of what we really wanted. The grill on the balcony also made it very easy for dinner prep. The hot tub was only utilized once. But it was definitely nice to have. Unfortunately, they didn't have the heated pool or lazy river running since they said the weather was not consistent enough yet. My first visit here was five stars hands down. But that was five years ago and you could tell that there were some things that were on the brink of being dated. Hopefully they will jump on that and keep this place as one of the nicest places to stay on the gulf. read more

Had called before booking to confirm parking our M/B sprinter van. After 2 days I was informed we could not park on any of there properties. My last resort was to rent a car to park on property. They concluded my sprinter was an RV and rules would not allow it to be on the premises. Sure would be nice to have been informed before hand. The days of this facility being the beautiful gem of orange beach are gone. The unit we were in was riddled with heavy use and abused furniture (scratches, stains, broken parts, worn out cushions, etc.) Check in was pushed back and check out pushed up due to COVID-19 (this is understandable and expected) However, on check in when the coffee pot was not cleaned and jacuzzi not operating I highly doubted that a comprehensive cleaning was performed?? I reached out to the front desk for jacuzzi servicing and three days later they arrived to fix it. The manager on duty was less than helpful and seemed to enjoy arguing over issues rather and simply taking care of them. Overall, if the fee's for this facility was at least half the price per night then maybe I would give it 3-4 stars. However, if you are paying four figures per night better accomodations and service should and is expected. read more

Let me start by saying we stay here a lot. At least twice a year. The front desk service has definitely declined in the 7 years we have been coming. This was a last minute trip. Their online reservation system was down......for days. We finally got reservations. Were told they couldn't take out cc over the phone-two days later got a snarky voicemail stating if we didn't provide a cc our reservations would be cancelled..... The unit was the standard unit....except....the hair dryer in the master didn't work. Told front desk...the replacement didn't work either..we have up. Unit didn't have a mixer...after 3 attempts we finally got a new one (in the box). And lastly.....place had ONE mixing bowl.....I could go on but you get the idea.... We are just used to having everything we need without asking. I personally think the place has just gotten complacent with their guests. We rented through Spectrum not VRBO...so, really there isn't an excuse.... Overall we enjoyed the stay and will probably be back....just with lower expectations. read more

After spending over $4000 for 4 nights at the Turquoise Place, we were disappointed to find that the Hot Tubs, Sauna, Steam Room, and Play Ground were all Closed due to Covid. Sauna's kill germs! The sun kills germs on playground equipment! We spent a large amount of money to be stuck in a Condo that week as the weather was terrible as well from Tropical Storm. Isn't it time that people assume self-responsibility for their health? I spent the money, but could not use the amenities that I paid to enjoy........ Healthy people need to be allowed to live.... This place is fantastic! I see other reviews and i have to consider you get what you pay for, possibly other reviewers didn't get the room we were in. At over 3000 square feet our four bedroom room has private baths in each room, full laundry and huge kitchen. Our patios have nice grills, outdoor sink and kitchenette area along with a hot tub. The wet bar has a large wine fridge, there are several heated indoor and outdoor pools including a heated lazy river. Forget beach toys? There's a linen closet full of things to take out and play with! The video and audio equipment in our room is top notch and easy to use. Each tower has a fabulous gym, sauna, steam room. Beautiful decor. By far this has been the nicest place in orange beach that we've stayed at. read more

Do not book through Caribe unless you don't mind receiving all the amenities that Turquoise provides. We were unable to rent movies, charge food and drinks to our room, didn't have bracelets to open gates. Everything about this place is perfect. We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 4 bath. Each bedroom has a full bathroom, plus a half bath in the hallway. It was great that there was a complete laundry room, which is so convenient. The kitchen had a large, nice appliances, and came stocked with anything you might need to cook or grill, including a keurig. The master bedroom comes with a large jacuzzi tub, and each bathroom has a large walk-in shower. There are hot tubs and a grill on the balcony. When we were inside, it didn't even feel like we were in a condo, we couldn't hear anyone outside of our rooms and there were plenty of people there. There is an indoor heated pool and 2 outdoor pools. There is supposed to be a lazy river, but to our disappointment, it was out of service. This whole place just has a luxurious feel to it. Resort cancelled our reservation ONE week before arrival for no reason. I had friends from another state arrive here on Friday and were told to go home. Absolutely outrageous. My family stays here every year (extended family too) for our big family summer vacation and after this horrible experience we definitely will not be back. I get that "spring break" has a bad stigma, but not everyone is out to break things and be crazy. This was my favorite vacation spot on the gulf, but I definitely will not be back. These condos are really beautiful but the staff at the front desk are the rudest ever. It's posted at the lobby entrance that masks are required but a young woman was checking in people with no mask and was extremely rude when someone ask why she didn't have a mask on. The manager at the desk Lindsey was rude and replied to a guest to go ahead and call the authorities as she was laughing. After a Monday storm there is no pool furniture at the pools on today which is Thursday. Great place with bad people checking you in. Some family members and I booked a room here on the recommendation of my Sister and we were not disappointed. Waking up and walking out on the balcony to see the water is a great way to start your day. Here's my breakdown: - Check In was a bit confusing as they are doing what they can to abide by Covid guidelines. Not only that we called in advance to ask for the possibility of an early check in (which I believe is offered at an upcharge) but we didn't hear back leading us to assume it wasn't possible, but then our standard 4pm check in time was pushed back an hour. No huge issue, but an issue none the less. We were given wrist bands which are your "key" to your room and allow access to the parking garage. I like this better than standard keys. While trying to get our bags to the room it took a while to find a cart, but there isn't much the resort can do about that as other families were using them as well. - In the elevator corridors there are multiple signs posted stating "Mask Required To Enter" yet it seemed that not a lot of visitors were abiding by that rule, nor were some of the employees really enforcing that rule. At one point another guest was bantering other elevator riders for wearing masks to begin with. I understand that has nothing to do with the resort in itself, but it happened. - The room was AMAZING. Very clean and well stocked with common household appliances etc. I would recommend making sure to pack essentials that you'll need as far as toiletries and cooking supplies. The supplied TP was thin and rough so bring your own. If you plan to cook in your room you'll have cookware but nothing else as far as salt and pepper etc. I thought my sister over packed when they were unloading but they knew what they were getting into. The beds were a little stiffer than I like, but my GF slept like a champ. The room had WiFi and we had a good connection as far as our phones and tablets, but we tried to use a Chromecast device and couldn't seem to get that or the Xbox to connect when we wanted to stream movies. Having a grill and a hot tub on the balcony was just icing on the cake. - If you plan to drink while you're there I STRONGLY recommend buying your alcohol well in advance. A standard bottle of booze that costs $20 back home was almost $50 by the beach. We even drove back about half an hour and it was still pretty high. - The pool is amazing and their bar by the pool serves great drinks. Their food menu is pretty good as well from what I was told as I didn't try it. - Access to the beach is smooth and chair rentals are pretty cheap. The guys even come by and adjust your umbrella for you as the sun moves. There is also plenty of room to place your own canopy as well if you bring one. You just can't leave it out overnight. - We were given one reserved parking spot for our room so coming and going wasn't a huge issue for us. There are also plenty of other open parking spots for other guests in your party. - Check out is where things got a little iffy. We chose to be on the road by 6 am so luckily the resort has an app that you can use to check out, however, the app wasn't working for us. We then tried to call to the front desk and only got a voicemail box. Finally we tried to just go to the front desk to check out, but no one was available (after hours), so when we tried a different number for the front desk we were transferred to security. They took down our information, but we called again to verify our checkout while we were on the road and it went very smoothly. All in all we had a great time and I can see us reserving a room again next year. read more

While visiting some friends who came down to look for wedding places we got there around 1... the parking attendant was absolutely clueless as to what he was doing told us to go here then there... then forgot to let us in had to drive back twice to get in to park... after getting parked we came around to pool side and herd a great DUO act sing and play they were so good that our friends hired them to play at their wedding in august... we ordered some lunch and right off the bat our order was wrong... it looks like teenagers are running this place which made us abit nervous finally got our food and it was soso... not what we expected for the price... my kids wanted a snowcone... at $8 each I thought that's very high...Geeez...after lunch we went to their room and the oceanview was fantastic.... came back downstairs listened to the duo for about an hr. then headed to check out a few wedding spots to have the wedding... nothing was too appealing so they decided on a Beach Wedding... all in all it was a good day... read more

Looks like a beautiful place from the outside, but it's deceiving. Our condo was dirty and we had to rewash all of the sheets when got there. Plus the counters and floors hadn't been cleaned. For as expensive as it is, it's not worth it. The pool on the ocean side is also shaded around 2 and then you have to go to the road noise pool. Not worth the money. read more

We just started our trip at this place and let me tell you, it has been a horrible experience! We drove for over 9 hours to get here and upon arrival, were told that we could not enter the property until exactly 4:00 (check in time). We arrived 2 hours early and had to go to the bathroom and had an asthmatic child with us. The front desk staff were incredibly rude and communicated MULTIPLE time that we had to leave the property immediately as it was not 4:00. Never in all my years of travel have I been treated so poorly-not to mention at a place where the rates run about $1,000 a night. Normally, places will at least let you sit somewhere and wait until check in or allow early check in if the room is ready, however, not the case with this place. We are currently sitting outside the resort, waiting in our cars and extremely hot as there is no place for us to go. So far this has been a horrible experience and we will NOT be back (along with the 3 other families in our group). Horrible front desk staff and customer service. Do not stay here unless you want to be treated with an unprecedented amount of disrespect. Will post an update when we figure out the front desk lady's name. Once again, so many other places in gulf shores/orange beach with better customer service. Will not be back. read more

We have stayed at Turquoise Place for several years because we love the indoor pools, the gym, the lazy river and other amenities but we were very disappointed this year in our unit 408C. The furniture needs upgrading, the coffee table was falling apart, the master bed came apart and the balcony furniture was awful. We were supposed to have lounge chairs on the balcony and requested them 3 times, but were told the owners had not replaced them after a storm several months prior to our arrival. However, I booked through the resort and paid extra so I was assured of the best. The rug was not clean and there was algae all around the outdoor hot tub. I was so disappointed in our unit this year and will certainly look for an alternative next year. read more

We absolutely love this place! The condo itself is beautiful. We enjoyed the balcony with the jacuzzi and grill. We spent more time as a family on that balcony than ever before. It was kind of chilly when we went in March so having our own on our balcony was perfect. There's also a fireplace in the living room but we never used it. Great place to stay if your looking for luxury! read more
