I have booked several vacation rentals with this company over the years in Glacier. Every one of the cabins has been extremely clean and up-to-date with their amenities, especially compared to other filthy cabins I've experienced booking with other lodging providers. Stay away from this host. I just had a terribly bad experience with them and I really cannot possibly recommend them to anyone. A month and a half ago a family member passed away, so I had to cancel the reservation I had with Luxury Getaways. Trying to get a full refund from them was quite the adventure. In fact I have not gotten a full refund yet but I want to use this review as an opportunity to describe the poor judgement and lack of compassion these people showed along the way. Due to Luxury Getaways' cancellation policy they were only forced to refund me 50% of the original amount. The host however committed to refunding the remaining 50% if the cabin was fully re-booked. As it turns out there are quite a few important factors that the host didn't mention: 1) There were some "Airbnb service fees" that she was not planning to refund at all. These are quite a bit of money, around $300. 2) In reality, for situations like mine there is a special cancellation policy from Airbnb that lets you get a full refund, but it only works within 14 days of the cancellation date. How convenient it was to leave this out, right? During my interactions with Luxury Getaways they were extremely unresponsive. Both I and my girlfriend texted them all the time but we would get silence from them, constantly. This was very frustrating because I was just acting in good faith but I'd just get silence as a response. I can't find words to describe how frustrating this was, specially in a situation like mine. Just come clean to me: if you want to not refund me the remaining 50%, just tell me and I'll leave you alone, but don't play this game in a situation like mine. Finally after a few weeks the host confirmed that they'd be doing the refund, but then a week passed and the refund was nowhere to be seen! I ended up filing a refund claim on the Airbnb website and they didn't even reply within the time they are supposed to. I could finally contact their office and only then they responded to the refund claim. Funnily enough only then the host brought up the fact that there were these "Airbnb fees" that they would not be able to refund. Note that originally the host hadn't mentioned that. Only now I was learning about those fees. After this I opened another claim to get direct help from the Airbnb team. I have to say that The Airbnb team has been super helpful but even here Luxury Getaways had to show their true colors. As it turns out Airbnb support told me that they'd have to get an approval from Luxury Getaways to do a full refund, but of course Luxury Getaways rejected the request. Even after not mentioning the services fees at all, and even after not mentioning the fact that there was an Airbnb policy exception I could've used to get a full refund. Really, Luxury Getaways? I am extremely disappointed in this host and I cannot possibly recommend them to anyone. read more

"Luxury" is too generous of a term for this company. We enjoyed our vacation, but I wouldn't call their properties or their service "luxury". We stayed for almost 3 weeks in 2 of their properties and spent around $10,000 with them. A few examples: One house had pet hair/smell everywhere, broken furniture, a previous guest's hair all over the shower (gross) and just general lack of upkeep. The second property had some sort of gas leak coming from the oven, which made it unusable. They touted it as a gourmet kitchen, but it wasn't useable and they never came to fix it once we asked. Zero Stars. That is what I would give this rental company. Absolutely NO communication! They do not care about your safety or the safety of your loved ones. If a situation beyond your control happens, they will not work with you to reschedule or consider a refund. Do NOT rent with this company! Here's what happened: Due to the snow storm the Seattle area has had this past week, travel anywhere within the city and its surrounding neighboring cities has been hazardous. WA State Patrol and WSDOT have advised everyone to stay off the roads and to not travel unless absolutely necessary; as such, I was unable to make it to the rental I had paid for this past week. I tried to communicate with Luxury Getaways via text and email, yet their responses have been slow and delayed. I was informed that the unit did not have power on Sunday night and to consider coming on Monday. They did not inform me when power was restored but did inquire when I was coming. I asked regarding power and it was a full twenty-four hours before they replied to inform me that there was now power in the unit. This level of communication is subpar and poses great risk! They will not work with me on a refund, of any amount, and they will not consider the opportunity to reschedule for a different time. I have rented with many rental companies, but these company, Luxury Getaways is the absolute WORST! I highly advise anyone and everyone to NOT rent, nor consider renting with this company! We rented a condo from this company over Christmas weekend on the second night ( Christmas Day) The power went out which meant no connection to a telephone and there was no landline for emergency calls. There was no one at the luxury getaways office to contact and let them know we had no heat and no electricity and 6° weather. There were no provisions in the rental such as flashlights candles extra blankets etc.. we had to leave the rental unit and not complete our stay because it would not be safe to do so. Many attempts were made of contacting the company asking for a refund.... No one returned my call and no one responded to emails. I've reported it Airbnb as that's who we booked through and hopefully they will be able to resolve the issues. I run an Airbnb myself and I would never ever dream of treating customers this way. Had a post holiday trip planned for week after Christmas but the area Seattle area had a winter storm that made driving through Snohomish and King Counties dangerous. Washington State Patrol advised not to travel. On top of that the house we rented had no power for a least one of the days according to PSE. Luxury Gateways was responsive and helpful up to the moment the winter storm happened. Once the weather impacted the rental Luxury Getaways took over two days to respond to our inquiries about the weather and power (most of the rented days). We did not receive the rental agreement until after the last rented day. The rental agreement makes it clear that Luxury Gateways does not care about you or your family's safety. The agreement clearly states that even if the authorities declare a mandatory evacuation they won't refund. In a house without heat or power in a freezing winter storm? Luxury Gateways doesn't care. If you own a home and use this company, shame on you! read more

No stars!!! Do not book a rental with this company. I attempted to book a rental for the weekend through them but, due to some glitch in the Home Away website, I kept getting an error that my request did not go through. So, I gave up and booked another property. Shortly afterward, I received an email from Luxury Getaways saying that my booking was confirmed and my credit card had been charged. I immediately called them and explained what happened. They cancelled my reservation but, they are refusing to refund my money. I was even charged a cleaning fee for a rental that I never stayed in !! These people are heartless, greedy thieves!!! read more

As the earlier May review, I also suggest stay away! Basically, these owners are dishonest and misrepresent the unit they are renting and simply won't return phone calls to discuss any issue. The owners pretend to have an answering service to screen out anyone they don't want to talk to with a problem. We rented a condo unit through Airbnb at Snowater resort. Many of the amenities for the unit listed on the Airbnb website don't exist or greatly exaggerated. As just one example, it claimed a 42 inch HDTV and a DVD player in the unit. Instead, an ancient 24 inch TV with no cable service and no DVD, and no cell phone service. This "resort" is supposed to have pool, various games like ping pong, racket court, etc but none was available to us and it was NOT closed due to Covid. The signs on the door indicated open, but it was not. So with a great name like Luxury Getaways, pretty amusing to receive instructions to bring your own toiletries and wash all the towels before leaving. Also, be warned that they send out a detailed contract and instructions last minute. Seriously, the morning of the day we are supposed to check in they message us and tell us to send a screenshot of a check (we didn't pay by check) and then tell us there is NO cell service there!! Best place we have EVER rented. We highly recommend it and the owners are very accommodating. All the cabins are gorgeous and well equipped.

I made a reservation through VRBO at a Luxury Getaway home in September of 2019. In March I was no longer able to access this home at VRBO, but I confirmed that my reservation was intact. June 22nd I emailed the property manager (referencing my reservation and our dates) and asked for a link to look at pictures. The property manager sent me a link and didn't say anything about the reservation. Last night I checked in to get the door code. Today at 10:30 (less than 6 hours before check in) I received an email saying that the property manager had changed and our reservation was lost in the transition, and they were cancelling our reservation. One of the couples was already enroute to the home. We had to scramble to find another place to stay. They did refund our payment, but it is unconscionable that we weren't informed until 5.5 hours before check in. I would not recommend using this company ever. read more
