The 40-some-year-old metal filling of an upper molar I had done when I was a kid broke several…read moremonths ago, and the tooth essentially broke in two but stayed in my jaw, requiring it to be pulled and an implant for a replacement to be done. Dr. Gomes got me in right away to perform the removal, and several months later he did the implant for a new crown. He told me the implant wouldn't be as bad as the extraction of the broken tooth. The removal wasn't that bad, but the implant was amazing. I had not a pang of pain, bit of swelling or drop of blood following the implant procedure. Other than now feeling a little bump in the vacant spot where the tooth had been, I can't tell I had an hour-long procedure done. He and his assistant and the staff are always friendly and professional.

Then she cleaned my husbands teeth and he complained about how she hurt his gums while cleaning his teeth. Then he said he needed to take painkillers after he got home. I also had my teeth cleaned a few weeks ago and she was too rough as well. We've never had this kind of experience there and have been patients for 10 years. This needs to be addressed. I'm not sure if she's new or not. Another issue is we have 2 free cleanings a year which is every 6 months with our insurance. They have been scheduling us every 8-9 months which most times is only once a year. If he has so many patients maybe it's time to hire another dentist to work with him. We should be scheduled every 6 months. Maybe it's time to find another dentist.

Although he personally works in Kokomo,…read moreRichmond, and south east Indianapolis, his hours are routine; i.e. Tuesdays and Thursdays are in south east Indy and I simply made appointments on those days. Unlike the tv ads that mislead patients about how easy and quick treating periodontal disease is or getting dental implants, Dr Wiland is professional and lets you know what is involved in performing the procedures correctly. I had an area of my mouth where I had a bridge, but because the tooth was missing, suffered from bone loss in my jaw. My procedure required several steps to rebuild the bone mass, and eventually provide an implant to fill the gap which would reduce the likelihood of the bone loss from recurring. It has been about a ten month journey waiting for the processes to have time to solidify, not some "same day service" that the ads promise. One thing to know is that payment is expected up front a couple weeks before the procedure. That was a bit of a shock at first, but I realize that it forces patients to show up for their procedures...on time. So when you have your own money in the game, you show up! That keeps everyone on schedule and keeps the front desk staff from having to chase down and rescheduling. The staff were professional, but friendly. My four visits for procedures have provided a stable solution that will allow me to maintain my smile for years to come. Review #2107
