Thanks to the recommendation of our tour guide, we had a very delicious meal at Luzmar. Service was impeccable, dinning environment was very pleasant as well. We were a little greedy; ordered the grilled sea bass, octopus and seafood rice plus wine and beer for our lunch. The fish was super fresh and perfectly grilled indeed one of the best we've had; the seafood rice was of wonderful flavor and substantial portion. Octopus was good too but probably didn't stand out as the much as the other two. Didn't realize they charge for the bread which we hardly touched, our total was 109 euro before tip, a little pricy but we were quite happy with our meal and totally stuffed.

Our tour guide recommended Luzmar, and it did not disappoint. Our waiter suggested the Sole Meunière , so we went the recommendation. . They brought over a huge basket of bread, cheese, olives and butter, which they charged for. We also ordered a shrimp salad to go along with our entree to share both. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend.

My wife and I were here on a Gate1 tour, with a lunch stop from Lisbon on the way to Sintra. Tour director recommended this restaurant. Four others joined us and we ate indoors, as it was a bit warm outside. ordered a Shellfish Rice dish and Octopus with salt-roasted potatoes. Both dishes were ordered 'half', as we wanted to try each dish, without having too much food. As it was, it turned out that it still was quite plentiful as well as delicious, but some leftovers; sure wish we could have had a doggie-bag! We were last to get the bill, and it turned out we were ALL charged €6 for 2 small 'baskets' of bread and one small plate of olives (which we didn't eat) Total price of this should have been €6 - period! When we complained about this, the waiter removed the €6 from our bill, but because the other 2 couples had already been charged and paid, they did not get refunded! If we had ordered the same amount of bread and olives separately, it would have been €2 for each item. Our bill came to almost €57, easily the most expensive meal we've had in Portugal so far. In summary: Food was Very Good; Service - aside from the bill, was good. However, I have to downgrade my rating based on the extra charges that they tried to tack on to our bills - AND did not refund the other two overcharges.

We were staying in a beautiful Airbnb just up the hill northwest a mile. We could see Guincho, but Bar do Guincho is tucked up just off the beach with a big beautiful open deck with glass railings. Other outdoor sections are more protected from the frequent wind, and then there is a great room indoors with a big fireplace for the off season. Service was awesome. Each table had a unique QR code on a caddy that allowed you to not just see the menu but order at your own pace and also pay at the end. They also offer regular table service for curmudgeons and luddites. (just joking!) We ordered the delicious passion fruit sangria and it arrived in 5 minutes. All of our food was excellent, particulary the Portuguese fried shrimp (sauteed to Americans!) and the ceviche. The fries and bread were also delicious. You will not find a more beautiful view or a better vibe. We never go back to the same place during a short visit but we hit Bar do Guincho twice in three days. Can't wait to return next visit!

Very disappointing but still a fantastic view and overall atmosphere. On the Plus side the Octopus was rather tasty. Will give the burger another chance in the hopes of redemption.

First off, you need to make a reservation. The restaurant is small and very popular. I was able to…read moremake a reservation for the same day though, because luckily Portugal had a World Cup match that night. We sat inside the cantina side. Our server was adorable and bubbly with a great sense of humor. She did get really busy though toward the end of our meal and it was a challenge to flag her down for our check. With that said, she provided exceptional service earlier. This is the kind of place you want to go to with others who love tasting a variety of dishes. I went with my family who is not into that concept, and so I had to choose just one dish that I would not be sharing, as no one else wanted to share theirs either. Some of the dishes were quite small, but mine was not! I ordered the octopus which was cooked to perfection and had a mix of potatoes and greens underneath. Would definitely order this again! It was one of the best octopus dishes I've ever had. The one thing we did share was the croquettes. They were delightful, but kind of expensive as they were 1.70Euros each and were literally one bite, but a very flavorful bite at that. I also had a few glasses of their summer sangria which I rather enjoyed. I would return here when in Cascais again, but maybe with a different group of people so that we can treat it as tapas as it should be instead of individual dishes. There's so much more I want to try from their menu!

Seafood pasta tasted as if it had been cooked in seafood water, but I think that's the style around here. Croquettes were meh. Pasta special of the day (vegetarian) was incredible. Sangria was perfect. Most of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall good, but not somewhere I'd fight to get into considering the number of close by restaurants.
