This is the Ly Ly Nails Shop on S. 76th and Coldspring. This nail spa has to be one of the most cleanest and professional salons that I have ever been to. It starts right when you walk in. Masks are required of staff and patrons and they have a jar of hand sanitizer right at the front desk to wipe your hands with. In the pedicure section, they use disposable liners in the basin and every pedicure uses a freshly sterilized tool kit. Manicure stations have plexiglass between the manicurist and the customer and Each station is sanitized with Mrs. Meyers Spray between clients. This salon uses an electronic sign-in system, which allows you to collect points toward discounts. Went there last winter for a brow wax and they offered a pedicure. I had time so I thought why not? The girl cut the skin at the side of my big toe badly snd it wouldn't stop bleeding. Several folks gathered around talking excitedly in an Asian language. Finally the owner used a piece of paper towel and super glue to staunch it. I was so shocked I didn't react appropriately, which would be to leave. She finished my pedicure snd they have me $10 off my total. I'll never go back.Thankfully my toe is ok. read more

One thing everyone should know about this nail place is how terrible it truly is. I have never been to a nail salon where my nail had to get replaced 4 separate times in less then a week. On top of that when they broke it was NOT my FAULT at all. They just broke off when I was doing everyday things like opening a car door or grabbing a bin. They tried blaming me and saying it's because I was rough with my nails but this has never happened before. I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone! I got dip powder nails and they were AMAZING! I went in and showed the picture of the nails I wanted to Jessica and the results were exactly as pictured or even better I would say. She cut my cuticles and filed down my nails just the way I wanted them and at the end she massaged my hand with oil and lotion and the experience was spectacular. They lasted for soo long I almost couldn't remember how long it's been since I got them. They lasted for over 2 months with little to no care. Jessica and Long are my favorite person to go to for my nails because they are really nice and do my nails really well. I also sometimes see Jessica and her daughters come to the salon when they are closed to clean up the place for next week which really shows how much they care about their customers and salon. Went here for the first time a little over a week ago. I had a basic pedicure which was fine, and then a manicure. I was debating between gel polish or a regular manicure but the technician kept pushing the gel so I went with that. No deal for doing a pedi and gel mani together - it was $55 which seems overpriced. While doing my cuticles, the girl caused two to bleed. Since then, one of my fingers is still infected and painful. I went back a few days after the initial service because the gel polish that was supposed to last for weeks was already chipped and discoloring. The lady reluctantly agreed to take off the polish after initially wanting to put another coat on. She said the infected cuticle was due to making sure that the gel wouldn't chip off. Still unacceptable to me... It's now a week after I went back and one of my fingers still is slightly infected and painful. So disappointed and I will not be returning. read more

I was going to LyLy for a while but I was very displeased with my last service. I had called for an acrylic removal and was told to come in at 1:30. When I got there it was super busy and obviously over booked. I'm normally fine waiting up to 30 minutes past my appointment because I understand mistakes happen. I waited for 1 hour past my appointment and right when I was about to leave, I was told to wait at one of the service chairs. I then waited another 30 minutes to be touched and was left with my hands in acetone for 30 minutes. After the woman who seems to be the owner saw me fidgeting, she told me to start wiping off the acrylic myself. Last I checked, I'm paying YOU to do this for me. If I could do that myself, I wouldn't be paying you. I'm disappointed I wasted my time and almost let myself get chemical burns from the acetone. read more

Went here after a haircut. Do not recommend. The nail tech got my skin with the drill several times rushing this job. See the pictures for the other things I notice. They also push you to use Venmo which I haven't in many years, and get agitated if you cannot get your phone to download it. I went to the Greenfield Lylys with my son and we were both injured I had mani-pedi and during the pedicure the Bald with glasses man pulled on my toes so hard that he DISLOCATED one of them. I screamed in pain and he acted as if he didnt understand. My son went to someone else and she cut his finger and he left BLEEDING. Their place is VERY unsanitary. While we were there Jessica (owner) was screaming at the employess the entire time of our visit, they were fighting. I informed the owner of what happened and ALL she said was Oh sorry that never happen before. No refund. Just, Oh sorry. Tread VERY carefully if you ever do business here. Look around at all the filth. And watch what they do with their instruments, NOTHING is sanitized. They should be reported and put out of business. read more

There is an older woman I'm not sure what her name was but she was awful. I have been going here for a while I always go at the start of summer and a few times throughout. She finished my pedicure in 10 min didn't cut my cuticles did massage and my nails were all streaky and you can see my nail through it. I said something to a guy that did my moms nails because he was nice and she def got pissed off about it said she will fix it but just put on another layer on my nail and it just looks super thick. Me and my mom sat down the same time the guy that did my moms nails finished at least 10 min after me. She was rude about fixing it to the point where I just said forget it it's fine. HORRIBLE! They reuse products, very unsanitary. During massage she was like punching my legs. Wasn't relaxing at all. Second my GEL POLISH is already chipping & I left 20 like ago. Workers are super RUDE! I walked in and immediately was told to leave and come back. They didn't even ask what I needed. I'll never go back.

I've been a longtime customer of LYLY nails, but I won't be returning after tonight. Shortly after starting my pedi, the technician clipped the side of my big toe, which began to noticeably bleed. He at least had gloves on, but when it kept bleeding, he had to put some product on it and press down firmly to make the bleeding stop. No apology, only said I had an ingrown toenail (which I've never had). When he used the file on my heels, he cleaned it by banging it against the tile floor...not even a garbage can. How is that sanitary?!? Oh, and the best part. So they have these plexiglass dividers between you and the technician. Apparently he needed a close up of my feet so he suddenly brings his head under the divider, over the foot sink and practically between my knees. A little too close for comfort, if you can imagine. Needless to say, tonight was my last visit to this location. The level of service and risk of infection aren't worth it. read more

So I went to LyLy Nails and Spa for the first time today to get a Gel Full set. I was told it would be $45. The man who was doing my nails did not seem to know what he was doing and kept messing up the acrylic and kept adding more making every nail look very thick. Then he began to do the polish and I noticed the color looked a little dull so I asked how much it would be for a design. He told me he would do it for free and also add a matte coating over my nails at no charge. I said sure let's try it out. Not only do my nails look awful and chunky and the polish looks uneven, he didn't add any oil at the end for my cuticles, left nail polish all over my hand and then charged me $63 for the service. I was very upset at that point and just paid and left. I will not be going back to this place again. read more

Tried getting a no chip mani here once, but I was not successful and after reading these reviews it would appear that I dodged a bullet. I came in the evening on a Friday night and I expected to wait a bit, but right when I walked in I was not quoted any wait time. All in all I sat there for 40+ minutes and the whole time I was never acknowledge by the staff or told how much longer it would be, or offered a beverage for waiting. I was pretty annoyed but I probably would have stayed to see the service through if I couldn't plainly see employees chatting, using their phones and just sitting around looking bored when there were customers waiting. Finally after over 40ish minutes I decided if they don't call my name in the next 5 minutes I was leaving. They didn't. I walked out then miraculously someone was available to take me after one of the employees followed me out of the store and harassed me to come back in. I didn't and would never come back here. This isn't about just the wait time, either. I mean, I've waited longer for brunch if I'm being honest. I went in for their acrylic nail service. The color and shape I got was very nice but the biggest issue is the edges were not filled all the way, neither on the side nor towards my cuticle. There's gaps on every finger. They basically look half done and because of that I know they're going to wind up lifting up. I will have to unfortunately get my nails redone somewhere else. She even trimmed my eyebrow hairs after waxing which I have never experienced whenever getting a quick brow wax before. I received a gift certificate for Christmas so I decided to finally use it. I came in and asked how long the wait would be I was told 10 minutes, I was put in the pedicure chair within those 10 minutes and then sat there for about 30-45 minutes until someone started. My feet were pruned and the water was cold by the time I was finally helped. The pedicure felt like nothing, the cuticle clip was somewhat painful. They did not get my ingrown nails, it didn't even feel like I had a pedicure. The polish I picked up was a basic white and it turned out very dingy and grayish instead of a bright white. Now the gel polish change. I went in for a color change, they made the girl that was going to do my nails do another pedicure and handed me off to someone else. I tell him do NOT take any length off of my natural long nails and keep the natural rounded shape. He did whatever he wanted and started filing my nails down at least half an inch if not more, started shaping them SQAURE and then I told him I want them more rounded (for a third time) and ends up taking even more length off. When I tell you livid is an understatement. Every single nail is a different length. My thumb nails are still square, my nails all look short and stubby, and he did 3 layers of gel polish and it's thick and tacky feeling and already discolored after 14 hours!!! This was supposed to be a treat for me as my birthday is in 5 days and now I have to spend more money to have someone fix both my toes and hands. I have been getting my nails done for 10 years and NEVER in my life have I had a worst experience. Oh and not to mention I still left a tip and when I did he counts my tip in front of me and gives me a look like "this is all your leaving me". Save yourself the time and money. read more

Against my better judgement, I went here to get a quick last minute shellac for the weekend. I have not been here in years, due to the horrible reviews they receive but I thought I'd give it another chance. I have 3 children and work full time so in the rare occasion that I get to do something for myself, I would like it to be an enjoyable experience. Well this was anything but enjoyable. The nail tech had a really bad cold, which I did not realize until we were half way into my manicure. She kept wiping her snot on the back of her hand. I was completely disgusted by this and felt stuck. I feel bad that maybe she had no choice but to come to work even though she was sick but it's really gross to continue to wipe snot in your hand and you hold my hands to paint my nails. The men who work there are rude and not very good at what they do. When I am paying $60+ for a shellac manicure/pedi, I expect at least good service. My last time there (and it will be my last time), I had a set of acrylic nails on and wanted a take off. The male manicurist took my nails off with a fake nail and broke two of my long natural nails off, without even saying a word about it or asking if he could fix it somehow. He was very quick with my pedicure not doing a very thorough job at all or getting my dead skin off. After all was said and done, I am not happy time and time again. I can easily say this is the best bank for your buck. I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes on a walk in. Appointments I'm always helped right away. I get my eyebrows, Mani's and pedi's done here. Amazing amazing amazing customer service. Anytime there has been an error on the way my nails were done I've gone back in 2-3 days later due to my busy work schedule they've still corrected it for me even though it's been days. Scheduled an appointment for a pedicure for 11:00 am. Got to the salon 5 minutes prior to my appointment and was seated at the pedicure spa to soak my feet. Literally waited 45 minutes before someone came and started my pedicure. At 11:30 told a woman that I had to leave because I had to be somewhere at 12:15. She told me someone would be with me in 5 minutes.
