Shopped their years ago and it was OK much better than it is now it looks like a bargain basement…read morewith prices way too high. The owner Gretchen think she knows something but knows nothing about customer service about fashion about style. She just cares about what's in your pocketbook meeting your wallet that goes for her hair salon too. The staff used to know what they were selling. Now the staff doesn't know what things are made of or where they come from. It's like they just have to reach a quota and try to push everything on you. There are lots of places in the area to choose from this is not one of them if you want over pay and listen to the girls gossip about who the last person was in the store then this is your place. My friends and I would rather go to a place with more class more understanding, a fashion and more real.

My mother and I have been going to Gretta Luxe for years and have spent thousands and thousands of…read moredollars there over the years. We bought multiple items at the sale a few weeks ago but one pair of pants had a broken zipper which wasn't disclosed at the sale. We realized it a few days later and my mother brought it back to return. Laura, the manager, was unbelievably mean to my poor older mother and told her 'if you don't like our merchandise then you don't have to shop here'. My mother explained that we had not been told when we bought the pants (for $200+) that the zipper was defective and Laura continued to be rude to her. I can't believe that Gretta Luxe would sell defective items that they did not disclose to unsuspecting shoppers. It's deceptive to consumers and bad business. I would warn anyone who is considering shopping here to avoid it. There are many luxury boutiques and department stores where they are respectful to customers and do not sell defective luxury items.

Wonderful selection of crafts at what seemed like very appropriate pricing, to me…read more I especially liked the textiles/ quilt selection, but there is also plenty of photography, jewelry, pottery, and glass as well as other items. The sales staff are the artists themselves, as it is a collective. I had a very friendly salesperson who made the experience better. Highly recommend this store for gifts, or to give a gift to yourself!

I wandered into the Clever Hand for the first time yesterday afternoon while strolling through…read moredowntown Wellesley, and wandered out with 3 gorgeous, local artisan-made pieces (handloomed bamboo scarf, hand-dyed silk scarf, and glove leather belt with carved wood "buckle"), none of which I had expected to acquire but could not possibly leave without! The store is stuffed with lovely, one of kind or limited run things that reflect the vision and interests of individual, Massachusetts-based artists--so much more satisfying to browse than a big box store full of mass-produced stuff. The artisan/salesperson who checked me out (she works in paper, making cards and charming wall collages for children) was welcoming and helpful, and my checkout experience in no way resembled the one described by a previous poster. (Frankly, I was a bit taken aback by how indignant that poster got over her frustrating experience--seems she loved the contents of the store, but knocked it THREE stars for inefficient customer service? That seems disproportionate and unfair...)
