I have found a balance of reasonable and more pricey items - but always something in my budget. The magic formula for me - is that the ladies at Lyn Evans help me put together entire outfits that I would not otherwise buy for myself. I am a boring black slacks, single color blouse and on a good day - a standard issue scarf. You know, the ho-hum clothes that you can get at Ann Taylor or Banana in mass volume and every color. So, as a perfect example this past weekend - I discovered that an event scheduled for that evening was intended to be a "casual upscale" dinner - instead of the little black dress that I had planned to wear. I raced to Lyn Evans at midday and being a very petite 5'0", it's not easy to find much off the rack for me. On this visit, Heather took care of me- she had at least 10 inches on me - so a completely different body style. She put together at least 5 full ensembles for me to try - everything appropriate for my event and for my body type . She encouraged me to try new things, mix of colors and styles, jewelry - and every outfit was spot on - very stylish and got me out of my comfort frumpy zone. Now the staff doesn't know what things are made of or where they come from. It's like they just have to reach a quota and try to push everything on you. There are lots of places in the area to choose from this is not one of them if you want over pay and listen to the girls gossip about who the last person was in the store then this is your place. We bought multiple items at the sale a few weeks ago but one pair of pants had a broken zipper which wasn't disclosed at the sale. We realized it a few days later and my mother brought it back to return. Laura, the manager, was unbelievably mean to my poor older mother and told her 'if you don't like our merchandise then you don't have to shop here'. My mother explained that we had not been told when we bought the pants (for $200+) that the zipper was defective and Laura continued to be rude to her. I can't believe that Gretta Luxe would sell defective items that they did not disclose to unsuspecting shoppers. It's deceptive to consumers and bad business. I would warn anyone who is considering shopping here to avoid it. There are many luxury boutiques and department stores where they are respectful to customers and do not sell defective luxury items.
