I brought two of the three bags out and popped back inside to grab a third. When I came back, the bags were gone. No knock/ring or "hey, can I take these?" Nothing, just gone. Then 2 minutes later I get a text from some other named laundry company, telling me I have to Venmo or Zelle him $48. WHAT???? He hadn't even had time to weigh the bags. I had spoken on the phone to TWO men. They said nothing of any of this. They were changing the terms of the agreement. I called Elio on the store phone line, or so I thought. He then told me he sold the company to Mike the driver, and deal with him. He said that he is just doing the laundry work for Mike, but it's Mike's company now. Then he told me he isn't in the store, or even in the state. I tell him I don't like deal being changed, and I don't have their payment methods, and to just bring the bags back. He told me I will have to PAY THEIR MINIMUM, $25 to get my clothing back!!!!! When I objected, he started mouthing off to me. I hung up and called the local Police, who sent a car over. They took care of it. The infractions were clear: - They took the bags without notice (not even all the bags I had) - They changed the agreement after the fact. - They tried to create an illegal bailment with my property. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to resolve the issue professionally, the owner immediately tried to blame me and implied the shirts already had the damage before I brought them in -- which is completely false. These were new shirts worth over $200 each. Mistakes can happen in any business, but customer service and accountability matter. A simple apology or attempt to make things right would have gone a long way. Instead, I was made to feel dismissed and blamed for their mistake. If you care about your higher-end clothing, I would strongly recommend being cautious before bringing items here. I'm extremely disappointed with both the quality of work and the way this situation was handled. The owner is not a man of his word, he gives backhanded remarks.
