Great place to enjoy all the autumn wonders! Keep in mind there are a couple of locations/parking areas depending on what you're looking for. We first stopped in at the farmer's market, which is located on the corner and has its own parking lot. It had some fun features like classic big chairs for photos and the like. The market itself is packed with tons of produce, goodies, and souvenirs, both inside and outside, including different flavored seasonal donuts, which were delicious! A little bit further down the street is the section with classic autumnal farm fun activities: corn mazes (two - including a mini one for the kids), pick your own produce (apples were ready at the time of our visit, and we enjoyed perusing the orchard), barrel ride, zip line, play area, and apple cannons, which were a blast! A variety of snacks are available for purchase at the snack shop. This area has its own parking available. Staff was helpful and friendly, and we had a lot of fun exploring and enjoying everything Lynd Fruit Farm has to offer. read more

I used to enjoy coming to Lynd Fruit Farm to pick apples every fall until now. All of the sudden a 'bad apple' left a bad taste in my mouth to continue coming. If you haven't heard the recent news in Columbus, Lynds Fruit Farm recently went through theft of $300 of apples people snuck out and stole. They caught most of the thefts but now have upped their security there. It's so bad now you can get followed and even chased down now even if you paid for your own apples and didn't steal like the other, 'bad apples.' So if you don't want to be a 'bad apple' pay for your apples and don't steal here! Happy apple picking folks! read more

This farm is near by my home, so we frequent it regularly. This was one of the first times I came on a Saturday (at 1pm). Lynds has a large farm market where you can purchase vegetables, baked goods, ciders, salsas, snacks, gift items etc. the outer perimeter has pumpkins, apples mums. There are two food trucks on site and open on weekends. There is a kid play area. They have pick your own apples and used to have u pick pumpkin patch (not sure if thats still a thing, I bet it is) There is also a huge corn maze. Its a fun place to make a destination. Very family friendly. Tip: Dogs not welcome, unless service dog. It was crowded. The lot completely full. My husband and I entered their market area and he saw all the people and went "want to leave?" I looked at the lines, they werent bad... it was more a crowd of browsing people. We knew what we wanted: apples for baking (winecrisp) apples for eating. (Ladacrisp) and 3 pumpkins. So many pumpkins to choose from. Our pumpkins were $3, $3 and $4. Great price for the size of specialty pumpkins. We were pleased. We got out of there for under 40 bucks and it only took 3-4 minutes in line to be rung up. read more

Great place. Came with the grandkids on a Sunday to pick apples and do the pumpkin patch. Had a lot of fun. Very busy. We went to the area with the barrel rides and bouncy houses. Was a little off put that they charge for adults to get in since there is nothing really for adults. It cost me $23 for a senior and 1 kid which includes a ticket for the barrel ride (kids only). An additional ticket for the barrel ride is $4. I paid a lot for an adult to stand around and watch my grandkids. They should rethink the price of admission for adults (like $5 or 0) or add adult activities. The day was very expensive $176 for 2 seniors and 2 kids: $25 small bag of pick your own apples, $24 for 2 picked pumpkins at the patch, $9 for 6 donuts, $50 for lunch, $54 to get into the rides included 2 extra barrel ride tickets. $14 for 4 apple slushy and Apple cider. Oh and no straws or covers for the apple slushy. Was hard for the kids to drink and had to sit till done before getting in the car. Grandson spilled olit all over himself trying to get a sip. Growing up in Florida, I never got to go Apple picking or do the Fall things I can do here. This farm is letting me live out my childhood dreams! Their apples are really good and GIGANTIC. My whole life I was used to using grocery store apples for desserts and eating. But once I picked fresh apples, it is amazing how different they taste. For the past 2 years in a row I have gone honey crisp apple picking. They are my favorite apple and I make delicious apple galettes with them. Both years the apples have had the perfect texture and amount of sweetness. We got a large bag of apples each trip. Apple picking is so fun to do with friends and family. I've gone apple picking with husband and this past season with an out of town friend. Both times were super enjoyable and I think my dog enjoyed it the most. He loved greeting all the kids and adults around who were picking apples. He also loved to smell the farm odors while we were driving up to the apple picking area. Lastly I love their shop. They offer a good variety of produce, baked goods, sweet treats and unique gifts to buy. I absolutely love their apple cider donuts and nothing beats when they are served hot and fresh to you. This place is amazing! We were here years ago with our daughter but the focus then was pumpkins and the maze. This time around, our motivation was the highly prized Pixie Crunch apples. My hubby is an ED aid in Westerville schools and his class has previously taken annual trips during apple season to Lynd's. His first trip introduced him to the Pixie Crunch apple - the absolute ONLY apple he will now eat. Each year he bought a half peck and then cried when the last one was gone. This year, Lynd's changed their school offerings so they did not go. So hubby asked if I would go with him and I said certainly! We went on a beautiful Saturday late morning during the height of Pixie Crunch season. We agreed we didn't need to pick our own so we went straight to the market (after turning in too early and heading to the maze). The had plenty of parking and the place was hopping. I don't think I had been to the market before - it was huge. We immediately headed to the bagged apple section and located the Pixie Crunch bins. My hubby pored over the decision of how much to buy while I googled how long they might last. He landed on a peck and a half. I knew he wasn't going to share so I bought half a peck to eat and share with friends. They are $15 for a half peck - probably over $3.50 a pound but what the heck. When in Rome . . . We made our way towards the register and passed a rounder of popcorn stuff. I've recently entered a new air popcorn phase and thought I'd give their popcorn a try. They had a half gallon plastic jug of kernels and I grabbed one as I passed by. No clue on price so I figured it was insanely high. We had a short wait in line which gave me a moment to look around a bit. The people in front of us were buying some interesting confections that I wish I had seen. When it came my turn, I was shocked the popcorn was only $4. A great deal! I should have bought more as it's almost gone at the time of this writing (several weeks later). I've also only got 2 apples left and gave 3 away to a friend. I will definitely plan a trip next year - or maybe around Halloween as I really want to look at what else the market offers. It's becoming a tradition to visit this farm every fall and I love it each time. My favorite thing to do is the corn maze. They do such a great job with the themes! This year was the 7 Seas. Afterwards, I have to get a warm apple cider (which is delicious and perfectly sweet) and some french fries. The market area is large and filled with goodies like fruits, veggies, desserts, decor, and more. When I purchased my ticket for entry into the corn maze area, I also received a voucher for 3 free apples at the cannon. I had never heard of it before, so I checked it out and it's exactly that - an apple cannon! We used our voucher and enjoyed it so much that we purchased 20 more apples to shoot. There's probably 8 cannons pointed at a field with different objects like a car, school bus, empty tanks, and pumpkins. It's very easy to operate the cannon too. Even if you're not keen on visiting this farm, you have to go just to try the cannon! read more

This is one of my go to farms every year. The apple cider is simply delicious and made from their very own apples. The intersection on the corner indicates which apples that are available for picking that day and is clearly marked. If you don't feel like picking your own apples they have a big variety of already picked and bagged apples in the market. One of my favorite things to get there is gluten-free Amish noodles! They are among the regular noodles and a great hidden gem. Everyone is masked and very friendly! There are no inside bathrooms but there's a line of Porta potty's available if you need it. This time of year one of my favorite places to make sure to visit is Lynd Fruit Farm. Currently, they have at the patch at 37 which is about 9 minutes away from their stand literally fields of gorgeous Sunflowers. While I have been to fields before, I have never seen so many different varieties or so many so tall! There were also cover bands, snacks and fun vases and other little gifts for purchase. You can opt to get a ticket for $15 for admission for one sunflower and admission which allows free run of the fields. They offer pruners for purchase but you can bring them from home which I would recommend. If you purchase a vase for $15 you get additional flowers. Lovely event and grateful to be able to be able to attend! Also wanted to mention how much I love the apple picking. While it's still summer. Lynd's is the best for fall fun activities! read more

This was our first experience apple picking and it was wonderful! I love that we could give out toddler the freedom to run around, pick his own apples, dump them into the bag and also eat as he went! The whole family enjoyed themselves and will certainly make this an annual activity. We had plans to go to the kids play area after apple picking but at $11 per person (we had 4 adults and one almost 2 year old) it didn't seem worth $55 for him to just jump on the bounce house. Maybe next year when he is older and will be able to do more, and without the whole family. read more

This rating is specifically for the Smiles of Sunflowers they have in the summer. It was a great event. There are plenty of sunflowers and a lot of variety. There are also a lot of photo ops at different places within the fields. We did not get to all of them. I went on a weekday, so there was not a lot of activities going on, but in the weekends I believe they offer different events. On the weekday, however, it's less crowded, making it easier to take pictures at your own pace. I hope they have it this year again, so I can take my family. read more

This place is a gem only thirty minutes from the city! I felt so much peace being outside in the apple orchard. The products they offer are amazing. Be prepared to spend money, as there is so much to buy. Some chrysanthemums were 30" in diameter, selling for only $15 a piece. I bought fudge, apple cider, and jam in the market. There was an outside stand selling donuts, and I bought six apple donuts and six pumpkin donuts. Delicious! read more

Lynd's is another of those Columbus Institutions. The farm stand has a nice variety of local products, fresh veg, and jams. The orchard(s) have seperate entrances, but are well managed and maintained. You buy a bag to stuff and snacking from the trees is encouraged. I haven't had the opportunity to visit the berry farm yet, but I am sure I'd enjoy it! I don't make this a regular stop, but the fresh produce is good quality and well priced. I enjoy the cheese selection and the popcorn. If you sign up for their newsletter, you get regular updates on new additions, events, and visiting vendors. The Crazy Cucumber comes out here pretty regularly, so if you time it right you can get both pickles and apples. Win-win! Note that they don't fill your inbox, maybe 3 updates a month. I came out for the end of season sale and grabbed some Christmas goodies and a giant bag of apples at less than half of their regular price! read more

We did apple picking at the farm and then stopped by the market for about a half hour. The apple picking experience is neat and can't miss; some of the apples are HUGE and it's so satisfying to round up a bag of fresh fruit to take home. My family overdid it and I think we ended up with nearly a hundred pounds of apples [facepalm]. Afterwards, we drove to the market where we were able to shop a bit and pick up some sausages, cheese, half apple pies, etc. The market is inside a large barn and there's also a separate area where you can purchase burgers, hotdogs, hot cider etc. which is totally great. We ran out of time but next time we'll check out the maze and I've been told there's an apple cannon which sounds like a lot of fun! read more

I have been going to Lynd's fruit farm for the past 3 years because I absolutely LOVE this farm! I went in September and October to go apple picking. The past few years I have also gone to the pumpkin patch. I always stop at their store first to get some local produce and other food items. Parking is plentiful. Their beef jerky is delicious. It is dry and slightly chewy, but packed full of flavor. It's $5.25 for a bag and you get to support local businesses! I also get their home made apple butter and some local pickles. You can get fresh produce such as tomatoes, eggplant, and potatoes all for an amazing price. They really do have everything you need here. Beware you will spend a lot of money here because you will want to buy everything! Outside of their store is a big red chair that you can sit on and take pictures of. There is also a place outside to get food, ice cream, cider, and kettle corn. You cannot help but get the food because it smells soooooo good. We then drive to the location of the current apples that are available to pick. It is $15 for a small bag or $25 for a large bag. Honestly, I always get a small bag and am able to split it with 2-3 people and save some money. It's a small grocery bag, but you fit a lot more apples in there than you think plus you get the experience of walking around and trying out the different apples. It is an aesthetically pleasing place for photos too. I have seen people of all ages take photos, even family photos! There is usually a plethora of apple choices to pick from. Their pumpkin patch area has food, a corn maze, train rides for kids, tractor rides, and a play area for families with children. The corn maze does cost money and some of the rides also. It can get a little pricey, but you are paying for the experience. I have been in the corn maze and they have a scavenger hunt for you to do. Super fun! They have pumpkins of all sizes and each one costs $5 (at least when I went). They will check your trunk and car to make sure you did not grab any additional that you didn't pay for. Same with the apples. If you have not come to Lynd's yet, it is a MUST visit farm! :) I didn't realize they have berries and peach picking too so I will have to come back for that. read more

Lynd fruit farm is always a blast. You want to bring the whole family here for sure when you come. There are many things to do for everyone, no matter the age. Recommendation for a date night: Start your date by going apple picking at Lynd Fruit Farm, and then finish the evening off with dinner somewhere. Recommendation for Family Fun Day: Go apple picking with the family. Visit the market first and get the kiddos some tasty treats. Once they are all sugared up, go over to the side where the inflatables are and let them burn out all that glucose. All the fruit picking here is grade A. They always have enough for you to grab some fresh fruit. Hold on; I almost neglected to talk about the sunflower picking as well as just the awesome photo graphical moments you can get in the sunflower patch. As a family, we try to do either or both every year. At try times, I've gone by myself, and it's been a very therapeutic experience. Lynd Fruit Farm activity section has everything for any kid (young or adult-wise). From the giant bounce pad to the apple cannon, there are enough things to keep you occupied and engaged for hours at a modest price point. For this farm to be a destination spot and to have loads of people visiting throughout the year, one would think that it would get pretty crowded. Maybe it does, but all I can tell you is every time I've been here, there's been lots of people, but there always seems to be space. read more

COVID REVIEW - So I see their website and Facebook pages talk about precautions for COVID. So the Upick option is not easy to get to. You must read both the website and their Facebook page. You have to buy pre ticket reservations and they shut it down early etc. The other attractions looked relatively calm and social distanced. But go over to the main market - it's a HOT MESS! Very surprised that the measures for the open air orchards are organized for safety but the confined space of the indoor market and snack shack stand was an unorganized mess! MESS! No direction on where to enter the marketplace clearly marked anywhere. Tons of people were there, gathering and stopping everywhere. No mask enforcement at all what so ever. Workers at cash registers with no masks or partitions or sanitizers in site. People - EVERYWHERE. Don't believe me? Check out the media I posted. Lynd team - do what you want, it's Your business. I'm just here for people who are trying to follow the rules and still worried about COVID and public spaces. We thought apple picking would be outside low contact / interaction fun. The measures are backwards - why not be more strict on the market measures as you are the orchards? Really surprised. Me and my family, we went home. Enjoy y'all. Really cute fruit farm with tons of activities to do outdoors year round. I'd say their big attraction is their gigantic indoor market which boasts tons of gifts, lots of homegrown food and preserved (jams, jellies, salsas) foods, and even frozen options and pastries. They also have a really expansive apple patch which is pretty cute too. NOTE: Almost all activities are outdoor. Their market/barn area is "indoors", but they had all of the doors open for nice airflow. PROS: -Their farm market is impressive! It's huge - and has a gigantic variety of everything. It feels (honestly!) like an entire farm's market packed into a single building. We came for pumpkins and apples, but we could have easily picked up tons of various vegetables for meals that week. -Lynd's makes lots and lots of stuff. Salsas, jams, pickles, and tons of other homemade goods. It's really cute to see. -We've been here before, and we had an amazing time at their Sunflower Patch for pictures last year. The Sunflowers were beautiful, the owner was laid back, and the props were adorable for pictures. (Bee central, but to be expected!) Weirdly enough, I had zero idea that Lynd's had a market, pumpkin patch, or anything else when I went to the Sunflower patch. They're so far away from one another that I had zero idea until this year. -The apple and pumpkin field is GIGANTIC. If your goal is to get lost in apples and pumpkins (for fun or pictures), this is, for-sure, the place. I wish they had an option for entrance without apples - or even a tiny bag of apples. I don't think we eat, in a year, as many apples as their basic "picking" bag option was. Each apple type is nicely labeled, though, so if you have a preference, you can pick your faves. CONS: -This property is expansive AF, and most of the activities are located a (literal) drive away from each other. Apple cannon appeared to be across the highway road, and the pumpkin/apple patch was a five minute drive from the market itself. As long as you have a car, it's not a huge deal, but it's a bit less immersive to need to pile back into the car and get somewhat lost trying to find the thing. More signage (maybe an online map?) would help too. -Some people appear to make the walk from the market to the pumpkin/apple patches which are that 3 minute drive away. Unfortunately, there's no real "walking path" which means that they're walking down the car road - and it's a slow, slow drive while you wait for people to realize they need to move. The car's path through the patches is actually wiggly - I imagine they could put in a walking path that was pretty close of a Point A to Point B. -Getting the warm/fresh food/treats here didn't feel particularly fun. The lines were moving molasses-slow, and I didn't see anywhere to sit/snuggle and eat the treats. We waited the 15 minutes for a hot apple cider and walked around the market with it as a compromise. -Earlier close on the weeknights. With a 7PM close, we'll never get to see the cute sunset at the pumpkin patch here. read more

I always tell people to check their website early and plan accordingly. Next, arrive early! I would say as close to opening as possible. The market parking lot fills up pretty quickly and the orchards do as well. Early arrival ensures that you get first picks on all the goodies!!! Take your time while you're there! Take some pics, indulge in the apple cider donuts, fresh kettle corn, funnel cakes, and grilled burgers! Yum! You can literally spend a few hours with your family or a date here! They even have tables so that you can bring your own food to enjoy! I personally love their selection of jams, veggies, and Amish country baked goods! You just can't go wrong! Hand a lot of fun picking apples. It does get busy and you have to check online to see if they still have varieties to be picked because it goes so fast. But the apples are always really delicious and some varieties they have created them selves! Evercrisp and ludacrisp are some of the best apples I've ever had. read more

Great stopping place to load up on locally grown products. My kids always love to go there and eat the in season fruit. They also have things for dad. The outside pickle stand has the best flavored pickles. Go for the extra hot garlic....don't be afraid it's not really hotter than a jalapeño. Their u-picks are killer too. We've had great family outings for blackberries, donut peaches, pumpkins and apples (honey crisp picks are a bit over crowded). Every season we wait too long and miss the raspberries.
