(7/12/2026) What is a horrible service? They denied service to my 75-year-old. My mom walked in and the owner told her that she doesn't take walk-ins. Mind you that they have nails tech sitting in the back chatting. Wow! I can't believe this crap. You should remove the walk-in sign, if you can't take walk-ins. The owner looks stuck-up. I will be bringing my mom to another salon. You are too rich. You don't need money! (7/13/2026) Thank you for replying to me. As you can see, your attitude and lack of professionalism are brought to my attention. You can't even apologize but instead blame me for regarding yesterday's incident. Well, I didn't assume that we could see from your reply post that your situation was my fault and blaming and pointing at me. If you are understaffed then take off your walk-in sign. Misleading customers is not an honest business. I will stop right here but if you have time to reply to me rather than focusing on your clients. I can see where your lack of professionalism is in your business. As for me, I will never come back. We found a nail place next to Dollar Tree with the same service and much quality. That nail shop was so clean and much bigger. As I walked in the owner greeted me with a smile. We didn't have to wait at all. My mom is absolutely happy with her services. I'm doing some long term RV traveling and was ready for a new set of acrylic nails. Looked at several places in Sioux City and the reviews were good on Lynn Nail Salon. I booked an appointment. Walking in, the place was very busy for both manicures & pedicures. (Ok... quite a popular place~ that's good). I was greeted by "someone"... who directed me to the station #11 spot. Whomever I was assigned to, did a GREAT job on my nails, but .... there was no warm greeting, "Hello, my name is...." or any sort of conversation other than "You like them square or round" in broken English. She didn't hurt me when she filed, the acrylic product wasn't all over my fingers and the polish was perfect. Very neat & tidy. Great job !!! Some of the staff were talking back and forth in their Asian language and laughing fairly loud. Ok..... Guess they like working together but I felt they had no regard for their customers seated in front of them. I would have like more English spoken and more interaction with the person doing my nails. I will say, I was impressed when the customer next to me (whom I did talk with) left and that Nail Tech gal cleaned everything and I mean EVERYTHING!! Tabletop, nail polish bottles, polish remover bottle and all of the product containers. Nice !! I'm passing through Sioux City and will probably not be in the area again. But I will say.... the price of $30.00 for a full set was reasonable, in my mind, and I truly like how my new set of nails look. I said.. Thank you and left. read more

I'm not one to make these kinds of reviews, especially since I do really enjoy Lynn's. However, the last time I went in I knew immediately that something was wrong. I was getting a gel set, and she had soaked my hands in acetone for close to 30 mins, then drilled my nails down so much that my once long and thick nails were paper thin. Any little touch would break off my nails. Which that part totally sucked, the worst of it is the infection I had gotten in my nail that has lasted over a month, and a doctors visit. SO incredibly disappointed. I've been driving an hour to come to this salon for maybe 8 years. I've had a couple minor times I've been less than satisfied, however my experience today was completely awful. I'm not one to leave reviews, especially poor ones, but before you consider getting services here check out the nails I walked out with today. The tech was foul, at points yelling at me in front of a salon full of customers. The present manager, Kim, was less cruel, however still adamant that I would still be charged for the "manicure." I didn't come with some wild photo or request a detailed design, however the tech who had been short and rude through my pedicure as well, was simply not able to draw the lines (yes LINES) I was asking for and became angry when I asked if someone else could finish my nails, snatching my hands multiples times saying she would just take it all off and I could go. I left with a completely unacceptable and sloppy few coats of gel, no two nails are the same shape, gel does not cover the sides of the nail, there are bubbles and lumps everywhere, and all I wanted was some very simple lines. Bad nails is one thing, but the way I was treated today is another. I hope no one else ever has this experience. Find another nail salon to ensure that you don't. read more

I will never be going back to Lynn nails after my last experience in their shop. I have gone to Lynn nails 3 times now and each and every time I have received horrible service even when i've left 80% tips. This last time I went to Lynn nails, I asked for dip and asked for 2 different colors. As the lady did my nails, she burnt/cut my fingers multiple times and never apologized to me, instead i was the one saying sorry. But then when she got to my first nail, i had decided i wanted to go a darker shade and I had asked the lady, "What do you think, I think I should go darker. The lady yelled with a horrible attitude, "Then go find something over there." As someone who deals with social anxiety, I almost broke down in tears. I picked out a random color, red. When I return back I tell her i'll just do red. Then she says, "Well find one, we have more than one red." so I just picked something random. The lady didn't talk to me for the rest of the appointment but continued to burn and cut me. At the end of the service, I didnt hear what she had said and asked her to repeat herself and she literally screamed at me "DIP IS 45" but when I have gotten dip before it only costed 30. I would recommend going to 5 star, because lynn nails is horrible. read more

I have always gotten my acrylics done here and I love the service but the last time I went to get my blue nails done the lady went over my skin many times and it hurt. Me and my mom also got pedicures and the lady who did my mothers messed up a lot on the nail polish. Little did we know until we got home. Not very impressed on my last visit. If it's worse next time, I'm finding a new place. read more

Loved it here. Had couple of bad experiences before that caused me not to come back. But this experience was wonderful! Came in, they looked busy... but also looked like they were finishing up with some people which we didn't mind. (Came with two other friends) So waited for a good 10-15 minutes. This I did not mind..but then she started another clients nails and asked her if she will do my nails she shrugged. I expected more from being a good client and heavy tipper. I love this place already! I came here with a friend to get a pedicure and walked out with baby-soft feet. I got a full set of acrylics w/ gel polish, unfortunately I didn't like them but they allowed me to come back today and get them fixed free of charge! A group of us went in for manicures yesterday. A few impressions: Each nail tech tried to upsell us and push us into buying more than we asked for. If we ordered a manicure, they kept asking if we wanted the gel mani instead. If you ordered acrylics, they tried to push the "diamond" treatment (whatever that is). I witnessed all of them within earshot doing this. My manicure was very good. She was professional and fast. And the price was excellent. A week later, my nails still look flawless: no chips, cracks, or wear. And for me, that's amazing because I work on a computer all day and have 2 kids, so I am really hard on my hands/nails. This place was very busy on a Sunday. But we felt we were being rushed. There were 2 of one of the nail techs' kids hanging out there. They were both under 6. Well behaved but still- they hardly belong there. Only 2 of the manicurists were wearing masks. And the kids weren't either, which is concerning if they're spending time there regularly. read more

I called to book an appointment for 13 people for the day before my wedding and there was no issue but we arrived and the place was packed solid - nearly every chair was full. As you can imagine, I walk in with 13 people and a fairly tight timeline of the day and I was a tad panicked. At first, they tried to blame it on me but then eventually they got us all sat down. It was a bit of a bummer because a few girls were done before a few others had even sat down so the timing was way off but ultimately they got us all through. Friendliness was fine, quality was okay - I've had better but also definitely had worse, location was convenient and price was average. I won't say that I'll never go again because ultimately I would return for a second try, but first, I may try somewhere else next time. read more

My mother and I went for mani/pedi s today. The tech was very sloppy because she was in a hurry. I had to ask 4 or 5 times for my tech to polish my toenails thoroughly. We didnt realize they had upgraded our manicures to "shellac" manicures without our permission. When we questioned the charges at the end of service the tech disappeared. If you do go here be sure to negotiate your service before they work on you. I do not recommend this establishment. read more

I used to love this place but I will never set foot in this place again and walked out on my service today. The technician doing my nails ran over my skin several times. The last time he did so, the sharp drill bit actually cut my skin. I reacted to the pain by pulling my fingers back and I very nicely said "Please be more careful, you have run over my skin several times and it hurts". He smirks at me, then starts laughing and gave the most insincere, sneering "I'm sorry" I've ever heard in my life. This place is filthy and conducts illegal practices. I am a licenced nail tech and was being "treated" to a pedi. I ended up with an emergicare visit as a result. The implements were NOT sanitized properly according to State regulations. They were pulled out of a drawer UNSANITIZED!! The temperature in the salon was unbearable, and flies were EVERYWHERE!! I was asked if I wanted "the blade" (referring to a razorback used to remove calluses, and I had no calluses!!) If I would have accepted, I would have left bleeding after encountering healthy skin!! I ended up going to emergicare after a SEVERE break out. I DONT have sensitive skin. After a steroid injection, and 2 prescriptions, I am hoping and praying to get some sleep after following doctors orders! This place needs to be inspected and shut down! I am just thankful that I'm not diabetic. I could have ended up having more complications than I already do. I am thankful that my results weren't worse. (Although I'm not done healing YET! Great service, the staff always remembers regulars, and truthful about wait time! I have been going since they opened and it will always be my nail salon of choice. The services are affordable too. The only thing is that it could be a little cleaner at times. read more
