I have been going to this place now for 6 months. I was in the other day and the older nail tech was very rude and grumpy with me. I'm not sure why. and she was bitching about me to get coworkers in Vietnamese. She did a dip but but left the color all around each nail showing the dip color and then applied the chrome. it looks like a little kid did it! I won't be allowing her to do my nails again. the time before the girl did a very good job but she was far more interested in the gambling game the others were playing constantly getting up to see what was going on. HORRIBLE Experience! Went in for mani/pedi. During the pedi we were forced to get our manicures at the same time. The lady was rough and pushy. We couldn't relax and enjoy the subpar pedicure. I should start by saying this place rushes you. I was there to get my nails done with my daughter and they just kept on rushing us to choose a color and then when I told her that she could start with our nails while I picked a color they start talking in their language, They dip nails so fast that within 3 days my nails have chipped they keep breaking. I don't think that's right if we're paying for service then treat us as clients and don't rush person the way they did. This the second time I go this place and both times have been because my nail salon was closed and it was just closer to my house. And both times they have disappointment me. Probably the worst spa in Sioux City. I went in to get my nails done and for a wax. I've never had my nails done so bad, so rushed, or so thick. I can barely function with them and they're very short. They didn't ask what I want or what shape I want. They only asked color and if it was going to be acrylic. (And to clarify... It wasn't acrylic, it was ALL dip powders. That is not acrylic and they do not actually offer anything other than that or traditional painting if you're getting your nails done.) To add more onto this horrid experience... Once your 'done' they just sit you at a 'group' dryer and leave you there with no information on how long you need to be there. I ended up just leaving after sitting there for 10 minutes, paid my bill, and left. Didn't bother getting my eyebrows done there after the shitty nail work they did. Not sure how their Facebook and even here has more good reviews than bad. They try to over charge you, rush their work, and obviously have very novice nail techs that can't even create basic nail shapes or do acrylic. They tried to upsell me like three different times and then they did a horrible job painting both my toes and nails. My mom had to repaint my nails in the store because they weren't all the way to my cuticle and it was already cracking. While the pedicure felt great but at the end there was still paint all over my toes that they didn't fix. THEN at the end they tried to overcharge us by $20 and we had to fight them for the "right" amount which was still overcharged and I could have done a better job myself. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I've been to Pinky's a few times and have always recommended them to friends. This time, I had acrylic nails on and I asked for a manicure, to remove the acrylics and put on shellac. Two nails techs then literally ripped the acrylic nails off my fingers, without soaking them, or using the dremel to shave the acrylics off. This was extremely painful, which I voiced to them multiple times and they just kept ripping them off, tearing my nails. I wanted shellac on my natural nails because they had grown out nicely but I now have nubs because they ripped all the nail growth off when removing the acrylics. I had always been told by other nail techs to never ever rip your acrylics off, and to always come in and have a nail tech remove them professionally. I was shocked. I stayed and sucked it up thinking "they know what they're doing, they are the professionals" but I was only disappointed even more when I picked my shellac color out and the nail tech put the wrong color on. I questioned her about it, saying I picked 423 but the bottle she was using said 419. She continued painting my nails with 419 and said they were the same color. At the end she asked if I liked them and I said it's not the color I picked and she continued to disagree with me. I wasn't going to cause a scene and continue arguing with her, I just wanted to get out and never come back. I feel stupid complaining about nails but this experience was absolutely terrible and I'm unbelievably disappointed. I will tell everyone about my experience at Pinky's and ask for recommendations for a new nail salon moving forward. read more

This has become my favorite nail salon! They're friendly, the salon doesn't smell like nail products, they have a wide range of services and they are all about the customer experience! I am always look amazing and if I'm not happy to redo them! I've always been happy by the way! LOL! I love that the pedicure basins are fresh every time. Everything is sanitary and even the jet in the pedicure basin is thrown away after every use! Nothing is reused. I always have a great experience Whenever I go! read more

While at Pinky's I was not asked for what shape I wanted my nails to be but I made it clear I wanted them to look like my friends. Coffin shape and mid length. I got square shape and short. My design was messed up more then once. My friend had a hair in her nail and when she asked them if they could remove it they said no. My other friends acrylic nail was put on bumpy, not smooth. The ladies are great at their jobs. I feel a part of a family atmosphere when I go get my nails done bi-weekly. I had one pedicure and it was heavenly. Really disappointed.. not one of my nails is the same size, they are angled up waaayy more than they usually are or what my real nails actually do, the "ombré" of silver is an absolute JOKE, and not once did she measure to see if she actually cutting my nails to the correct length I wanted, other than the first nail we worked on. I'm extremely disappointed, this cost me 40+ dollars and i could've gotten the same exact work done for like 26, and they probably would've gotten the length right on my nails. This was 100% rushed and there was absolutely no care when she was doing my nails. No idea what her name was but I'm extremely unimpressed. This was not even worth the money I paid. Great place to go. Often they are busy and the wait can be a little long, so it's a good idea to have an appointment. Lots of nail colors to choose from. All I really care about is how long my foot massage will be and I love that they have the length of time right in their spa menu. Had came here this past Sunday. Me and two other friends have came. I told my friends about this place of how nice it was. When we came It was super packed and as we walked in. We really didn't expect that as because it a Sunday.. (thinking it was slow) So as we walked it.. we weren't greeted. All the employees just stared and didn't assist. (As I get it, seems like they had a group in there) Then all we asked was "you have an appointment" No, we didn't have an appointment as we thought we can do walk-ins like the last time I went. They never gave us an estimate of how much time when the next tech would be available since we told them we wanted three full sets. s So we just sad down and then a lady came right after we came in. They had her sign in to the tablet. When they didn't even ask us to. So we just got up and left to a different nail salon. We wouldn't have minded to wait. I went here once and got an acrylic full set. I came in with an exact idea in mind. The lady told me that it would be very expensive around 65 to 70, so i just went with a regular design instead. She cut me several times and was a chip on one finger because she fastly put my hand in the light. While saying it was my fault. She must have been in a hurry even tho i went when it wasnt very busy. Paint job was sloppy and nails were filled sloppily near the side walls. So disappointed. Tried it because of the good reviews. Technician seemed to be in a rush. Nail dip took less than a half hour. Most salons take at least an hour. She was distracted and buffed the sides of my fingers and even cut one of my finger. My friend had same experience with her technician. I went there a few weeks ago with my daughter and they are too pushy with me getting gel and dip but when I refused they got rude. And the tech was like we can't do design with polish only gel and dip?!?!?! Like?!?!?! Before dip and gel yall used to do designs with polish like what made you handicap on doing designs now?!?! While the staff was nice and welcoming and the place was clean and inviting my friend's and my nails were not good at all. We both are regulars in nail salons and know what quality nails should be like and how long they last. I got acrylic nails with a regular polish and my friend got acrylic nails with shellac on top. Not only did her shellac just fall off in the shower but my entire nails just starting popping off and both happened within a WEEK. Not happy. read more
