Not bad but not really that good. I was looking for a place to stay for 6 months, which is hard to find. Lynndale offers flexible leases, so here I am and I've been here for 3 months. I have one of the furnished units and it seems as if they kind of just threw it all together and are charging a hefty price for what it is. The appliances in the kitchen are outdated, the burners on our stove are raised and not flat, which causes pans to slide and potentially fall on the floor. One of our rooms came with two twin beds, which was weird to begin with, but as the apartment advised for us to push them together, they are of different heights and softnesses which is uncomfortable. The building I am in is one of the older ones, and the hallways are kind of sketchy looking. Also, the WiFi sucks really bad from time to time. It is quiet, and I do like how they gave us Tupperware. Also, the hot water heats up fairly quickly. One thing I noticed is that the apartment does not have any vents for the heat to come out of, so as fall/winter approaches I guess we will see if it is cold or not. Utilities are included, which is nice. If you are looking for a short term place to live, it's not bad. Otherwise, I wouldn't live here long term. read more

We've lived here for going on 3 years now, and it seems like a lot has changed since the previous reviews. We live in the "newer" buildings, they are nice, spacious, and the current management / maintenance staff are courteous and prompt. Like every industry there are super busy times where it may take a few days to get something done, but it's always understandable. I don't believe the a/c rental is still a valid issue. read more

STAY AWAY - They are not responsible with your financial information or Credit Score! I called Lynndale Apartments and explained my situation. I was transferring from a city 2 hours away and I would be starting a new business in the area. My credit history is good but with a new business, I wanted to be honest and upfront with my financial situation. Most importantly, I didn't want to waste my time, their time, and most importantly a hard pull on my credit report if they were not interested in renting to me. They told me to go ahead with the application. I did...and I waited...and waited...a week later I called to see the result: I was approved but I had to provide additional documents, which I was happy to do. When I asked if they had time to show me the apartments they said no they were already full. I should have called earlier in the week. I should have called??? I was waiting on their response! To which they told me. Sorry for the delay..."Its been a crazy week" Here is the timeline: June 3rd - Application Fee Cleared my Account June 7th - Credit Apps pulled for both me and my wife June 10th -Still hadn't heard from them so I called I don't care or want to know if it has been a crazy week. When I give someone my social security number and all of my personal info, I expect them to be a little more responsible. I called today to see if there has been any progress. Again they told me about all of their problems and how busy they were. Even though I am fairly upset with this company right now, I'm stuck because I really don't want to have my credit pulled again, since they pulled both mine and my wife's. To which they told me to send my taxes...which I did...then they called back within the hour and informed me that the apartment had been rented??? Either of 2 options has just taken place: Either they lied about renting the apartment or they didn't realize it was already rented. Either way, I suggest everyone stay far away from this place until they develop more responsibility or don't be honest with them in the first place. It's too bad really, because I think my wife and I would have really liked the apartment and facilities this place offers. But there are plenty of places where the management is a little more considerate and responsible. Oh, by the way, they charged me $40 to lower our FICO scores about 8 points. How do I start this? I was relocating from KY to WI and to be specific, "AMY-ARE", we will call her; was the greatest thing to happen to me on this journey. I explained I needed a monthly rental while I was waiting to close on my house and needing to report to work but didn't have a place to stay. She informed me that they were complete full with no units available. I had let "AMY" know I appreciated her time and hung up. She shortly thereafter called me saying they had someone they thought to be short on time left there and would get back to me. She called me to confirm that a unit would be available after cleaning in about 12 days. I told her I was hoping to get into the place in 9 and she said she would see what she could do. One day later, I got an email saying that the staff would have it ready on the date requested. I was able to move in and had a question about a furnished item. She was quick to replace that as well. The apartment was amazing, the security of the bldg was great but above all, "AMY-ARE" was awesome-sauce. I have never had such a great experience on housing in my life. Relocations while in the Army from the USA to Germany then to Hawaii and then back to the continental US included. Was a great place to live over the past 7 years a lot of managers changes but we worked with Danica and she is amazing so understanding and gets things done quickly very prompt maintenance crew gets things done in a timely fashion down side is our neighbor lady was not nice at all the walls are paper thin so someone working night shift it is a busy area and lots of traffic sounds honking horns and such we are only moving for better neighbors and more amenities other wise its a good place to live and close to everything Appleton has to offer read more

I have lived at Lynndale apartments for the last 2.5 years and I have really enjoyed my time here. Colleen and all of the employees that work there are such a pleasure to deal with. Also they have an awesome maintenance crew that respond VERY quickly to any request we have. Bob is a GEM of an employee and even went out of his way to bring coupons for free ice cream to my boys after completing a maintenance job for us. I have no clue why these other reviews are so negative because my experience has been the exact opposite of that. The pool and fitness center are always open and very clean. They are very strict on parking so you don't have to worry about people stealing your designated spot. I have rented at 2 other places and this is by far my favorite. Definitely give them a shot, you wont be disappointed. read more

I remember the day I signed my lease, I was SOO excited! 'They have a pool, and a fitness center wifi and cable! Awesome!' WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. This is a slum building at a high price. The woman who works at the office is extremely rude (the one with the accent...), the Wifi is horrible they must have one router for the whole building! It goes snail speed! I cannot believe I'm paying for the crappiest Internet I have ever come into contact with. (Dial up would be better!) The fridge in my apartment is leaking up a storm, and no one has come to even look at it even though I have placed multiple complaints. Once during a storm I was cooking, and of course, since I am a horrible cook some smoke set of the smoke alarm. The same smoke alarm that had to be replaced not even a month after we moved in because it beeped uncontrollably for hours! Anywho as I'm going to disconnect it from the ceiling (because the button doesn't make it stop) a huge bucket of water pours on top of me from the hole my smoke alarm is in. WHAT??!! THAT'S NOT SAFE!!! The air conditioner they had in our apartment for us without our asking (that they also make you pay for, of course they don't tell you that at first, and of course they also don't tell you that you can return it for the wintertime and you don't have to pay for the months they have it. I have lived here for 2 years and just learned this from a neighbor. YAY SCAM ARTISTS!) leaks as well. You cant even have it on "fan" mode for 3 minutes without a gallon bucket getting filled. One cold September night, upon coming home from an exhausting day at work, ready to relax, I spot on my door a cheery yellow piece of paper. The paper stated, that bikes, like cars, need to be operable to be at the Lynndale Apartments. (??) And that bikes found locked up to the bike racks outside with flat tires, will be taken, and donated. Now I'm all about donating to a better cause, I think its terrific. Literally makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. But as an avid biker, I don't believe its very fair to literally cut the chain someone bought, to just take the bike someone bought, because it has a flat tire. Maybe they cant afford to fix it, maybe they are the better cause. Maybe that's their only way to work and didn't notice they had a flat the same week the Lynndale authorities just came and Robin Hooded all their shit. I almost forgot the cherry on this wonderful shit-cake. As I mentioned above, when I had called about the smoke alarm, they had told me it would be a little bit for the guy to get there. So I took a quick shower and got dressed. Literally, as I'm slipping into the last pant leg, I hear one, and only one knock. When a huge, burly, scary man with scary tools burts into my apartment. I DIDN'T ANSWER MY DOOR. I DIDN'T LET YOU IN. HOW DARE YOU??? I COULD HAVE BEEN BUTT ASS NAKED. I had really high hopes about this place, the website made it look and sound phenomenal, when really... I've been living in a fools paradise. I highly suggest you find another place of residency. $619 a month is not worth it. Please for the sake of your sanity, live somewhere the Lynndale Managements don't own (they own several apartment complexes throughout Appleton) you're just going to get screwed over and scammed time, and time again. read more

Horrible management. The apartment was thinly insulated. The roads were loud. They are slow to clean off the roads from snow. My neighbors smoked weed all the time and management didn't care. Neighbors were ghetto and slammed doors all the time. Never slept well there. Post office delivering items lost many packages. Apt was cold all the time. read more

After blindly moving here from the West Coast - it took us two months to find Lynndale. The location was perfect for us as my husband was going to be attending FVTC and my daughter Highlands Elementary. The staff and workers have been nothing short of amazing here. We have had a few seals leak on the windows and they were fixed right away. Our kids knocked through a window screen in the summer time and it was replaced right away. They always follow up with you after the work is done to make sure it was done to your liking. We just recently were able to fill out a survey of how they were doing and what we could suggest to help better their place. We suggested fixing the pot holes on some of the roads and not even a week later they had workers out there fixing the pot holes! The office staff is very sweet & extremely caring and helpful! Because we renewed our lease we were offered cash of the rent price, an addition to the bathroom or our carpets cleaned. I thought this was a great gesture that they did not even need to offer! They also have cookie day every month and opportunities like decorating you patio to save you some money on rent. We love it here at Lynndale and would highly recommend to everyone looking for a great place to live! The only thing I can find to complain about is not really a huge issue at all. The gym is lacking a little bit and definitely has room to be updated. The treadmill barely works and shocks you while you run. - easy fix is to not listen to music while running. A weight bench would be phenomenal Another suggestion I could give to them is to take out the "game room" and turn it into a tanning room (tanning beds aren't too dreadfully expensive).
