The director Dac Cederberg has incredible talent and is on par with other well-known directors such as Harold Prince. Musical director Stacy Miller really killed it and each song was beautiful and very well performed. A lot of the success of the musical can be chalked up to all the talent in the cast, pit orchestra, and techs. Emma Reiger and Abigail Ferguson were perfectly cast for their roles of Katherine Blake and Ellie Blake respectively. Their singing was like something out of American Idol and the acting worthy of an oscar. Ryne Haldeman's choreography was also stunning. From a technical standpoint, you have to give a huge hand to Technical Director Robert Stahly and the other techs. The lighting by Heidi Hansen was beautiful and provocative. The sound designed by Blaze Smith was utterly astounding. The music choices for intermission were inspiring. A few mistakes were made by a tech in sound but were not very noticeable and did not ruin the overall enjoyment. As a final word, I would like to say that the price of $12 an adult for a broadway caliber production is definitely worth it.

In fact, his insights about her were the first hopeful signs that just being in the cold outside world might help him get a perspective on himself and our family. But it did get better after we finished the intake process. Eagle Rock's has a lot to offer in many ways, and works hard to support kids whose personal and school lives are in disarray. The academic part itself is very good - teachers well trained and caring. but I'm afraid their drop out rate is astonishingly high. I don't know where they get the 80% claim of graduation, unless you start after the wilderness trip, during which kids are dropped basically because they are not yet in good physical condition. Fully half the kids who enter are gone within a few months. To my knowledge very few black kids make it through. I wish there were a school that could take the multi-thousand's of dollars Honda gives them for each child and use it to better advantage.

With small classes highly educated teachers that care and communicate with each other not just within the grades also cross grades teaching leader ship kindness how to think things through take accountability and look through the world through different eyes makes the school exceptional. He kept his head down and flew under the radar and was diagnosed with high functioning ASD in 9th grade. TGS knocks down the walls of judgment against neurodiverse kids that exist in public schools and give them new tools to achieve their potential each day in creative ways so that kids learn to express themselves and feel heard and accepted.

I have seen Rivendell School almost every week when I drive by to deposit my recycling. It has since lost the CD's and is now dressed Hawaiian style. About a week ago I saw that Rivendell has signs up for a book sale. The prices looked very reasonable. About 50 cents to 2 dollars, depending upon what type of book. I went in and looked around the place. I was very impressed! The school is fairly small and the main room is covered in books. A very impressive library! I bought about four or five books all for a very good price and the ladies that were working there were all very nice and sweet. After going to the book sale I decided to investigate more about what Rivendell School was about. I saw that they have been around Fort Collins since 1976. They are a nonprofit, secular private school. They have a huge emphasis on respect. They teach children how to respect the teachers and each other no matter how different you may be. In other words they don't let the cliche's run wild like at regular public schools. Their curriculum is less 'goal oriented' meaning they don't primarily focus on test scores and make things so directional. If a child needs a little extra attention then they can get that extra attention because of the small class size. Wow! How I wish I could have gone to a school like Rivendell! I was not impressed or amused overall with my public school experience and think I would have done much better in a place like this. While I don't have children I would highly recommend this place to friends that have children that are about to start school. I think they could greatly benefit from it. I also will be keeping tabs on the school's events and would love to continue to support this place! There really, really needs to be more schools like this!
