Then I found this place. It's a short, very pretty drive out to their location. I was greeted by a worker who I gave my measurements to and he quickly told me exactly how much lumber I needed. He pointed me to the area of barn and cedar wood piles and off I went. Quick, painless and the place was serene. Odd, I know. I caught myself just standing and looking at the open space behind their shop. Very pretty. He loaded up my truck and off I went. It's nice to have a high grade furniture quality location close to Lexington. My next building adventure will be headboards.

We purchased four pre-hung doors and two barn doors from this company. I specifically asked for…read morethree doors that swing in to the right and one door that swings out to the left. The owner loaded the doors into our truck - not in a fashion my husband suggested. One of the doors shifted and broke the casing and also caused a large chunk to come out of the door. I call Simple Man and they refused to do anything for me. Now I go to install the doors and all four doors swing OUT and they are garbage! We now have to Mickey Mouse them so the doors will even close properly. I couldn't even resell them in good conscience. I will never shop at their store and will tell others of my bad experience.

However she was the most helpful lovely person ive ever dealt with and if she didnt know she was honest and called another employee to answer my question which was very helpful of her. This is where the man came in I believe his name was Joe or Jim I dont remember However this man made me feel incredibly stupid for asking questions im here to learn what the best route for my remodel would be. I dont need talked to like im an idiot and I certainly think its very unprofessional to talk to his employees the way he does and its not ok to call them idiots in front of customers! This was the FIRST place that actually quoted me a price for ONE window! Not a group discount IF I bought or when or what type I chose blah blah blah but David gave me a simple run down of what I told him I wanted and what he had. Simple. No smoke and mirrors like I got at a store in Lexington. And a door that was priced for me on lex was about 1/3 the price for the exact thing. ProVia! So are the windows. David doesn't have a computer or cell due to his religious beliefs but by golly, he was diligent and looked everything up and didn't act put out and I didn't feel like I'd been taken for a ride either. I plan on buying my windows and front door and two large sliders here. This man is kind and calm and honest. If he can't figure it out, he will work with the rep to get what you need. I really cannot say enough about this experience but it was certainly refreshing to meet a decent person to do business with.
