Dacus was a life saver today. They arrived 5 minutes before there estimated time and were…read moreextremely polite and courteous. They even allowed us to have our two small dogs in the cab while hauling our vehicle back to town. WARNING - I am going to bash on AAA and give lots of love to Dacus!!! (I wish I could rate them 6 stars) My truck broke down about 15 miles south of McPherson, KS. I have AAA and called them. I gave them both my GPS coordinates and mile marker number I was located at on North I-135. They indicated a tow truck would be dispatched within an hour. I called AAA 2 hours after the initial call to confirm they had someone coming. They indicated I had been elevated to a top priority and a tow truck would be there within 20 minutes. Guess what? - another 45 minutes goes by and no tow truck. I called AAA again. they indicated the tow truck had already done their pick up and this order was closed. Obviously it was not, because I was still sitting on the side of the road. AAA said the towing company had done the pickup in California and it was complete. I asked them how they could make a mistake with GPS coordinates and a physical description of the Interstate with mile marker. The customer service rep passed me on to a supervisor who did not have a good answer but indicated they would start another pick up. Extremely frustrated at this point, AAA indicated it would be approximately 3-4 hours before a tow truck could arrive!!! Are you kidding me? At this point I googled tow trucks near me and Dacus came up (along with 5 star review). They said they would be at my location within 20 minutes. They actually arrived in 15 minutes. The driver was extremely courteous and even let our two small dogs ride in the cab of the tow truck. He then dropped my vehicle off at the dealership and dropped me and my wife off at our house. Needless to say I will be cancelling my AAA member ship and if I am within 100 miles of McPherson, KS and need a tow, I will be calling Dacus. What a fantastic team and great customer service.

My trailer broke down near this business, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing…read more I was charged approximately $2,000 just for them to bring their equipment out roughly 12 miles, and the invoice listed 21 miles. The repair also took nearly three times longer than the timeframe I was originally given. I was billed for 10 hours of labor, even though the work performed should not have taken that long. If I had access to my tools (which were buried in the trailer), I estimate I could have completed the repair in about five hours myself. Additionally, I was billed for labor related to items that were damaged during the repair process. I had purchased several parts and specifically requested that they be replaced on both sides. Not all parts were replaced as requested, and the unused parts were not returned to me. I picked the trailer up at 10:00 PM, and due to the late hour it was difficult to fully inspect the work at that time. In total, I was charged close to $4,000 for a tire, rim, and hub replacement. Based on the scope of work, I believe the cost was excessive for what was completed. I would not recommend this business based on my experience.
