We were traveling from West Memphis to Conway, AR in our motorhome. About 35 miles out of West Memphis, we began to experience a severe shaking and vibration. We were able to limp into Forest City, AR and found an RV park for the night. (This was January 1, 2026.) The next day, I checked a reputable local company that told me we wouldn't be able to find anyone to work on our unit until Monday. I Googled for truck repair near me and the first place that popped up was Lytel Truck Repair. The review were generally good (should have been GREAT) so I drove over in the car I was towing and checked them out. It was bare bones, but I like what they said, so I limped over there with my motorhome. They were GREAT! Chuck (the owner) was super accommodating, and I could tell that he knew what he was talking about. He and his crew spent the better part of a day working on our motorhome. Long story (above) short: they were WONDERFUL!! They knew what they were doing, they did it well and got us back on the road again for a very reasonable price. My best friend and I were on our way to a girls' trip in Hot Springs when the engine cover on my car came loose and started dragging against the highway. We googled the nearest mechanic in this sparsely populated area and within about 15 minutes found ourselves at Lytle Auto Sales & Repair. As we approached this bare-bones auto yard located in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, I must say we feared for our very lives, feeling as though we might be living out the start of a horror movie. We pulled into the dark garage, and images of House of 1000 Corpses flashed through my mind. I was wearing platform heels and booty shorts, and as I got out of the car, I thought for sure the end was nigh. I texted our location to a friend back home, in the event we might never be seen or heard from again. However, after stepping out of the garage and waiting just a few short minutes in the bright sunshine of the most beautiful day of the year so far, the team at Lytle Auto Sales & Repair reattached the engine cover with no trouble, even making a good-natured joke about a "discombobulator belt" that brought a smile to our faces and eased the trouble from our minds. Fabulous customer service!!! We needed a trailer hitch adapter cut to bring home our camper. We called and was at the shop within 15 minutes and a few minutes later it was cut. The shop showed us how this was not the fix we thought it would be; we were not charged!!! We were also directed to a shop 5 minutes away that did have what we needed!!! We were traveling back home to Texas from Michigan when our front cv joint and wheel bearing broke on our Tahoe. When I called Chuck was very assuring that he would get my family back on the road in no time he offered to call a tow truck for us (we broke down in Heth, AR). Once we got our vehicle to Lytle's they were VERY prompt on getting started immediately. My husband and son were able to ride with the tow truck however my daughter and I had to stay back as there wasn't any room. Chuck told my husband he could borrow his truck to go pick us up. Once we all returned (45 mins later) they had a list ready of the repairs it needed and Micheal took my husband back to show him the bad parts as well as what needed to be done. In 2hrs we were not just back on the road but feeling confidant in the work that was completed. Knowing we were from out of town and we didn't really have another option to get our truck back on the road I feel like some places would take advantages of that however NOT here they were VERY reasonable and honest! Unfortunately, I can only give 5 stars, even though they deserve way more. These people are the embodiment of southern hospitality. Our alternator went out, and after a series of other unfortunate events, Chuck was our guardian angel. He came to the hotel we were parked at and helped us get to his shop, where he worked tirelessly on our Nissan Murano. Muranos are not easy cars to work on. If you Break Down and it's after 5pm. Call Charles Lytle Auto. When my fuel pump went out while on I40, I was on my way home to TN. It was after 5pm and I didn't have a lot of options. I called over half dozen repair shops but only Charles Lytle answered, he immediately sent out a tow truck. did a quick look over the car to confirm it was the fuel pump and ordered the part immediately. His wife dropped me off at a motel and picked me up the next day. They charged me a fair price, and off I went. This could have been a really difficult event, but was only a small bump. On a late Friday afternoon, when they were supposed to already be closed, these guys agreed to replace the serpentine belt on my Ford Escape in order to get me back home. When the belt broke, it took a pulley and tensioner out that unfortunately wasn't evident at first along with a bit of the wiring at the crankshaft. They showed me exactly what had happened, including showing me the damage to the alternator and proving it was okay. They explained what they were doing, and even showed me the online service they have access to for diagrams (in this case wiring). They offered to pick up supper for me and/or take me to the nearest hotel. They even got one of the local parts store owners to reopen. Sure I paid a little extra for the Friday night service, but it equaled out what I would have paid in hotel and it got me home sooner. Thanks Guys read more

My alternator on my 2006 Cadillac DTS went out on me when I was at work in West Memphis I call around town there and the shops was saying they might can get to it or not one shop said they had to keep it three days but I couldn't afford to do that I don't stay in West Memphis so I call chuck he told me to bring it to him they waiting till I found a tow truck to bring me and my car to him. And I can honestly say they had me up and running the same day and a matter of hours and it was way way pass they closing time after 11p.m. And let me remind y'all for the ones reading this 2006 Cadillac DTS alternator is a heck of a job to do, but thanks to Mr Chuck and his Awesome crew they had me in and out the same day and I REALLY APPRECIATE THOSE GUYS FOR THAT AND THE HARD WORK AND HOURS AN HOURS THEY DID SO I COULD MAKE IT TO WORK THE NEXT DAY(I'm a Merchandiser for Coca-cola)and my car is how I get back and forth to work) There is not enough stars to give these Guys but everyone who knows them they will get the job done RIGHT Thanks Again For all y'all do Coca-Cola!! read more
