I asked for gel only on my nails and the first thing she did was judge and say I should grow them out and it wouldn't look nice with polish - she then tried to charge me £52 for just gel when it says on the board £32 gel only. lady was rude and unkind to me - staring at me and laughing to her friend about my nails. would definitely not come back. so rude read more

My daughter & I booked to have our nails painted at Lyttle MInx advertised at £28 on their website, but on arrival we were told it is £35 for a manicure, I am fine paying £35 but it was for basic filing of the nails & cutting the cuticles before they paint. The whole process took less than half an hour, the staff were surly and couldn't get us out quick enough (so £70 and it is CASH only, I think we all know what that means). The nail painting looks good but the colour I chose was not nearly as dark as on the sample card and when I queried this I was given some nonsense about reflection ! absolute tosh, I am 62 not 12. If you are spending £35 on a basic gel nail painting I would go around the corner to Polished and pay the extra £7 or indeed anywhere else where you are treated with respect, maybe offered a coffee or at least a glass of water and not patronised by eye rolling when asking straightforward questions. read more

I booked a pregnancy package - £85 for a manicure, pedicure, eyebrow wax and 45 minute massage. It was a last minute booking and they did say they'd squeeze me in, and that the massage would have to be a facial because their massage therapist wasn't in. I arrived at 2.33 for my 2.30 appointment. The receptionist greeted me with "we don't have time for the full package, but we can do you a manicure, pedicure". I wasn't delighted with that given I had travelled 45 minutes to get there, but said that if they could do me a good deal on the mani pedi then it was ok. Their starting point was their price list - £40. The manager was called. I was told it was my fault for being late. We finally compromised on a mani, pedi and eyebrow wax for £40, which was ok but not something I would have travelled across town for. The therapists were very nice and the salon was clean and light. The pedicure chairs I found deeply uncomfortable - they were armchairs, but you ended up with your legs squashed down and neck wedged against a gilt mirror. I thought the mani pedi itself was good at the time - and they did have a good range of colors, but 2 days later and I'll have to take the colour off as it's been peeling off in chunks. Overall pretty frustrated and disappointment. If you live next door it's probably not a bad option, but not worth going out of your way. read more

1) the receptionist has always tried to over charge me the wrong amount the last 3 times I've visited 2) when I first visited little minx I was put a guy called JJ who doesn't understand a word of English and when I tried to explain what I wanted he just laughed and shrugged his shoulders 3) the shellac nail colours are mostly run out 4) I specifically chose on the next both occasions I visited to not be with JJ and to be with another person who could understand English and what their customers wanted, however I was always put with him in both occasions - he kept tutting, huffing and puffing, giving the sense he was bored and wanted to hurry up, kept shaking his head and saying "too much" I felt so uncomfortable and guilty - even though I just get infills every 3 weeks. The last time I came I wanted to remove my gel extensions, and he horrifically started peeling them off, I kept flinching because it hurt, but he didn't understand anything! There was only another lady working who was too busy doing someone else's so I couldn't request to change nail technicians ....undoubtedly I will never be returning back! read more
