I've been here in London a few weeks now, and my nails were in need of help! I tried doing press on manicures to get me through my stay, but it just wasn't working out. This salon was recommended on yelp, and happened to be across the street from where I'm located. I had some time in between classes, so I made a last minute appointment. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and did an excellent job on my nails! Space inside the salon is limited, so I suggest making an appointment even though they take walk-ins. Chatterbox nail bar should be new name With bad service! And place is tiny so you are touching clients next to you. You wait even if you make appointment!! So what is the point?? shon is no good! He will mess up your nails too. Won't even last ! Does this to everyone. I watched him do to everybody. Also got a pedicure and my it was ok. Last time was good. The younger girl was taking her time. This time this older lady rushed it and slapped lotion on with gloves and did a 30 second massage, tried to fix the polish she ruined and I also noticed she cut me. Ive been going to the same nail salon back home for over 5 years and didnt trust anyone else but I am very satisfied with the results even though I had to change from a full UV Gel set (from back home) to Acrylic with a shade of Shellac on top of it. read more

I happened in to the Beauty Box because I work nearby. Just off Tottenham Court Road, I was expecting a quick manicure and didn't think I'd necessarily become a repeat customer. How wrong I was. I've turned into that girl who talks about her nails at work and refers other people. I've gotten the best manicures I've ever had at this place. I've gone for the gel manicures because they dry so quickly and last for weeks, for me. Linh is a perfectionist and my nails look absolutely perfect when she's done with them. As a side benefit to the gel, I've completely stopped a years-long biting habit. The prices are quite reasonable for gel, and they include removal of your previous manicure. Not only are the manicures top-notch, but the place has a friendly neighbourhood feel and they clearly care about providing good customer service. They also have a lovely loyalty card scheme and I'm looking forward to racking up my stamps. read more

This place is on average £5 more than the place right around the corner from my flat. And I have to take a tube 30 min to get here. But it is worth it, they just do a better job. £15 mani, £17 Vinylux mani (lasts one week without chips but comes off with normal polish remover unlike Shellac). £5 Shellac removal... these are the services I've had there. The girls are really nice, all speak English well, they care a lot about making a good impression on the customer, and do a good job on cuticle work. Tiny place, but have managed to be seen right away both times I've walked in... but perhaps if you want a prime time spot, make a booking? This is my go to nail spot at the moment. read more

New Year's Eve was approaching and my nails needed some serious attention. I'd planned to do some shopping in the area, and booked a manicure & spa pedicure here a few days in advance, to start the day off on a glamorous note. Although the salon is small it is clean and well organised. I was warmly greeted, and both the manicure and pedicure were excellent. I recommend coming here just to experience the massage chairs you sit in while your pedicure is being done...to die for!! During my time there, a number of regulars came in who the staff greeted by name and had friendly chats with during their treatments. It made the overall experience really welcoming and relaxing. No-fuss, clean, and efficient nail bar, similar to those in the States. They have a wide range of Essie and OPI polishes and do a quick, clean, and neat manicure. It's not luxurious, but if you're looking for a quick nail fix on the weekday (for probably the most reasonable price you'll find in central London), then this is the spot for you. It's a small nail bar and it gets VERY busy - a lot of Americans flock there, especially students studying abroad, so make an appointment beforehand (though we still had to wait last time we did this, which was not ideal) if you're planning to go around lunchtime or after work. All the technicians seem to be very skilled, so I don't have a particular favorite. read more

Stopped by 2 days ago and saw one of the male technicians. was in such a rush and looked like he just could care less. the shape was awful and shellac was all over my cuticle. My nails look so bad. Today the corners are chipping off. It usually lasts two weeks or more and for the first time it does this. I am so upset! read more

This is my first ever yelp review, I had to make an account because the quality of my manicure was so awful I had to share. I have never had a manicure this bad before. First of all the place is not hygienic as I have read. The man clipping my nails did it over a box of open fake nails and the other techniques used were not clean as well. I was also booked in for eyelash extensions, but instead of calling me to give me notice, they told me on the spot that the specialist had went home sick and they would not be doing my eyelashes. I cannot say however that I was not relieved to hear that after I saw the establishment/quality of my manicure. To get started on the quality of the actual manicure, I got a gel nail polish manicure with fake nail tips. The tips were glued to my nail as well as my actual skin, and left the underside of my nail extremely jagged and visually unappealing. There was no cleaning of my cuticles and my nail beds were not attended to. The gel colour was applied very sloppily and was not fixed up nicely at all as they should have been. As I was leaving the woman I paid the bill to checked the quality of my nails furrowed her brows looking at the obviously very horrid underside and said I didn't have to pay the 5% card fee after giving me the bill. I have booked another appointment tomorrow at a better establishment to have them removed as my fingers look cringeworthy and feel uncomfortable as well. Just to prove that I am not overreacting I will show a picture of said nails after the whole debacle. Please do not make the same mistake as me and come here. read more

I am visiting from out of town and needed to get my nails done. I found Beauty Box on Yelp and so glad I chose this one. It is small, but very clean and the staff is very nice. My manicure was great and the prices were good. I walked in, but I would suggest calling to make an appointment because they were busy (I went during "lunch hour" and I guess many people in the area go there to get the nails done on lunch break). I would definitely recommend this nail salon! Wish I lived in London so I could come here more often!! read more

I first visited this nail bar on vacation. Good service and the gel manicure last for almost 3 weeks. My regular pedicures and gel manicures are perfect. They are reasonably priced. Also, you are able to rent flip flops for 3 pounds if you come in wearing closed toe shoes. It's best to come in early morning during the week if you can manage. This place gets filled rather quickly. Another note, if you are a woman who just moved to the UK, this is a good place too meet some good people from the local universities and around town. read more

Came here after my usual salon absolutely wrecked my nails & I vowed never to go there again! They booked me in via email and replied quickly and politely. They have a lot of staff so they can accommodate a lot of customers. The salon is clean and tidy and the receptionist was lovely and polite. The lady who did my nails saved me and they look beautiful! So glad she managed to fix the mess the other salon made. Only reason I haven't rated this 5 stars is because it's a very very small salon and everyone is almost shoulder to shoulder when sitting along the nail bar. read more

I used to come here quite often, but the last experience was terrible. I would not describe the salon as clean (cuticles and dust at work stations, towels not changed, etc). My technician was also using a cuticle cutter on her own nails as my nails were soaking, and then she later came back to use the same cutter though I saw her take it out of her pocket and use it on herself previously. I asked her to sanitize it and she did-- but had I not, it would be very unhygienic. You'll leave with a great looking manicure that will last, but at the cost of hygiene, I will be finding a new salon. read more

I went here after I bought a voucher on time out for half price eyebrow threading. I wouldn't recommend getting your eyebrows threaded here, I came out with one eyebrow that was obviously shorter than the other and they were threaded too thin which I was very disappointed about as I have been trying to grow them for 6 months. read more

I got my nails done here when I was visiting London. I called less than two hours ahead and they had room for me. They were quick and did a great job, but 15 pounds is expensive for just a regular manicure. They also charge an additional fee if you pay with card. My manicure lasted a little less than a week. read more

Visited here 3 weeks ago during a business trip to London. Thought 27 pounds for a gel nail manicure was steep (compared to $22 for an SF gel manicure) but 3 weeks later and the gel polish is still going strong. I think prices overall in London are higher for this but at least the quality is there. This salon also did acrylic so if you can't deal with the smell you might need to go elsewhere. read more

I went to the BeautyBox around 3-4 times for a bikini wax, because the prices we good and the location was convenient for me. Eventually I got fed up with the service as the staff were rude, and the lady who did my wax every time ignored the fact that I requested a large triangle shape and left me with a stubbly landing strip instead. read more
